>you are anon >and you are the only human in Equestria >years ago you were pulled from your old world to here >turns out that humans are only the size of a filly >and boy has that made life complicated for you *** >your first few weeks in Equestria were rather…interesting >being one of a kind has certain drawbacks >one mint-colored unicorn in particular was rather difficult to deal with >you’re still not sure how you managed to escape >you shudder at the thought >eventually your existence was brought to the reigning monarch’s attention >before you knew what was happening, you were whisked away to the canterlot castle >it was already a magnificent structure >but it’s even more impressive to someone of your size >you were already prepared for the worst >especially after your past experiences with ponies looking to keep you as a pet >or experiment on you >you still have nightmares about the color purple >now your prospects were looking pretty grim >it’s not like you’d be able to deny the leader of an entire country >right? >you could barely handle one crazy unicorn >now you were escorted to the throne room of the most powerful being in the land >you were flanked on each size by royal guards >you’ve spent enough time around ponies to be able to recognize gender differences >on your left was a mare >on your right, a stallion >and both of them dwarfed you >your escort halted at the entrance to the throne room >they motioned for you to continue past the doors >it seems that the princess wanted a private session with you >the massive doors slowly opened before you >you steeled your nerves >and stepped through the portal *** >that was several months ago now >now you are the grand vizier of Equestria >you’ve managed to wrest control of the entire state from the shadows >or you would’ve if anyone took you seriously >being this size is a serious detriment to climbing up the political ladder >most ponies consider you to the be the equivalent of a small yappy dog >turns out that Celestia took an immediate liking to you >she ended up taking you under her wing >that idiom is much more literal when one party actually has wings >you worked out a deal to work in the castle in exchange for a room and all the food you could eat >turns out having hands are an advantage to your resume >at least when everyone else has hooves >your size makes most jobs difficult >but finger dexterity more than makes up for it >you make a pretty damn good scribe >most of your days are spent with Celestia >you personally keep a faithful record of everything she dictates >you even have a miniature desk now >there has even been times where you’ve been able to travel with her >who knew that being so small would make you the perfect carry-on? >sometimes you just sit on her back >recording her musings as she walks >most of the time she just wanted someone to talk to >your job eventually evolved into her personal confidant >there were days that you would forgo your parchment and quill >instead opting to gently massage her back and shoulders >sometimes you would climb up to scratch behind her ears >she seemed to enjoy that the most >centuries of stress built up in her muscles, finally worked out >all throughout your time together, she would regale you with fantastic stories >ancient histories of the land, far away kingdoms and the myriad of creatures that roam the land >over time, the two of you grew close >not so much romantically >but more close companions >life was good *** >life was cold >really fucking cold >Equestria was in the dead of winter >and the castle was frigid >it probably didn’t help that it was built into a mountain >here you are >wrapped in enough clothing to look like the Cousin It of fashion >now you know how komodors must feel >your hands wont stop shaking >you could barely even write >most of the time, you’d roam the halls looking for warmth >the kitchens were nice at first >that is until the head chef kicked you out >you only stole a few sweets >you swear that you were going to share them! >maybe >regardless, you spent most of the day shuffling about miserably >at the day’s end, you retired to your chambers >it was little more than a refurbished closet >but it suit you just fine >most things you owned were made special for your size >your bed was the one exception >it was built for a normal sized pony >not that you complained about having a king sized bed *** >today was particularly cold >and the night was no better >you curled yourself into a tight ball to fight off the chill >it was going to be a long night >just as you were fading into a fitful sleep, you felt something >something had fallen on your shoulder >struggling against the drowsiness and the cold, tried to turn around >”Wha? Whozere?” >you stopped your struggling when you heard a voice answer you back >”Shhh….don’t worry anon, just rest.” >you instantly recognized it as the melodic voice of Celestia >you realized that it must be her hoof on your shoulder >then it hit you, she had climbed into your bed next to you >her hooves draped over your shivering body >they drew you closer to the warmth of her chest >behind you, her heart thumped away with a steady beat >almost like a lullaby >she clutched you close to herself like a small teddy bear >the heat radiating from her body banished the bitter cold away >you subconsciously worked your back into her soft body, accepting her embrace >she welcomed your tiny form, gently moving her head to nuzzle you from behind >she must’ve known how miserable you were in the cold >of course she knew, little goes on in the castle without her notice >you were held tightly, but comfortably, in her hooves >she planted a kiss on the back of your head as you felt sleep begin to overtake you >her head came to rest above your own, creating a small cove of warmth with her body for you >the gently flowing mane draped over your body, radiating a gentle heat of its own >it felt not unlike a spring sun bathing your face at midday >she used her magic to pull the covers of your bed over the two of you >the sounds of her soft breathing and rhythmic heart beat lulled you into a deep slumber >you were asleep in an instant, cradled against the cold >a small smile crept on her lips as she held you like a child would her favorite doll >sleep soon overtook her as well >the winter was forecasted to be long and frigid this year >that night, both Celestia and Anon had the best sleep they ever had in years >and they had many more months of winter to look forward to Fin
