A sort of epilogue based off ideas from Alloyrabbit when he had finished his Battleship ponies series found here http://alloyrabbit.deviantart.com/gallery/49089296/Battleship-Ponies I recommend taking a look at the comic before reading to get an idea of the previous action. >this was it >the last moments of battle were upon them >Cap’n Anon stood valiantly on his temporary vessel >it was one of the allied Alicarrier’s last fighter ponies >to be more precise, he was clutching onto it for dear life >pirates were not meant to fly >regardless, he kept up his bravado as he swung his cutlass with a free arm >”Yarr! There be our prize!” >he pointed the thumbtack sized sword at the enemy Alicarrier >”Prepare to open fire!” >he swung his sword wildly for dramatic effect >with a grunt from the fighter, they flew in towards the enemy ship *** >Rainbow’s Alicarrier watched with concern as the small aircraft drew closer >there was a small green monkey in a hat hooting and hollering on top of it >confused as to why her commander wasn’t issuing any orders, she turned about >Rainbow was preoccupied, trying to dislodge a feather from her trachea >the enemy Alicarrier turned back to see the fighter let loose a torpedo >she watched in horror as it sped towards her, unable to maneuver out of the way >THWACK >it struck her side with a solid metallic thud >luckily the game pieces didn’t actually explode *** >Cap’n Anon swung his cutlass about, almost hitting his ride in the process >”That be hit five lass, we win!” >it was true, Rainbow’s team had lost >hacking enough to remove the offending feather, Rainbow had to admit defeat >she hung over the side of her spa tub, removing the last of the dusty debris from her throat >”Fine…whatever” >”I’ve had enough boats, that one’s all yours” >accepting her victory gracefully, Fluttershy reached over and grabbed the enemy Alicarrier >as she lifted her prize, her Alicarrier, the last surviving piece, floated nearby >she saluted her soon to be eaten counterpart >Fluttershy brought the piece to her mouth and bit through the boat portion >it was reduced to splinters but left the pony it was attached to unscathed >her tongue slowly snaked its way around the pony’s body and pulled it inside >Fluttershy lifted her head skyward and swallowed, her face contorted with effort >only a small bulge in her slender neck marked the passage of the enemy alicarrier >Rainbow, in a show of apparent sportsmanship, congratulated the other team >”Well! Good game!” >she held out a blue hoof, almost too eagerly >”I’d love to shake the hoof of the little green dude who beat me.” >Fluttershy was already getting out of her spa tub >it had been enough excitement for one day >she collected the remnants of the game >and gently picked up her Alicarrier >it deserved a good long rest >”O-oh, ok. Just be gentle with him, if that’s ok with you…” >she could trust Rainbow to handle him with care >after all, the game was over now >right? >as Fluttershy left to dry, a wide smile crept over Rainbow’s face >Cap’n Anon and the fighter pony were still lazily buzzing about above Rainbow’s head >he tapped his ride on the side of its head >”Take us down, lad.” >he motioned to the flat plane of Rainbow’s outstretched hoof >they landed, ready to parley with the titanic pony >neither of them took much note as her hoof seemed to be inching closer to her muzzle >Cap’n Anon was too busy basking in the glory of his victory >this was going to make one hell of a fish story >”T’was well played!” >they were both practically in front of Rainbow’s mouth at this point >she cast a sly glance around the room, Fluttershy was already gone >she was scheduled for a deep tissue massage after this and would be occupied for at least another hour >no one was around but Rainbow and the two figures standing on her hoof >no witnesses >”Yeah, it w-“ >she interrupted herself to stuff her hoof into her mouth, Cap’n and the fighter included >both of them were caught by surprise as they were flung into her maw >in the ensuing chaos, Cap’n Anon dropped his cutlass, it flying to the side of Rainbow’s mouth >he bounced back along the massive tongue towards the back of her mouth >the tongue bucked and wriggled, rapidly pushing him closer and closer to her throat >just before he reached the end, he spotted his cutlass, jammed between two back molars >he was just barely close enough to reach, holding onto it with saliva-slicked hands >the jammed blade barely held up to his momentum, his hat flying off below >in front of him was the expanse of the gigantic mouth >her lips were still slightly parted as he could see the outside just beyond >below him was a hungry abyss >he hung on as tightly as he could >looking down, Anon could see deep down her throat before it tapered off to inky blackness >he heard a cry of warning and tore his vision away from the pit below to the sight of the fighter careening towards him >just before the impact, Anon’s face fell >”Argh, flog me boat sideways” >they collided in a jumble of limbs and saliva, both of them flying off the edge into the darkness below >the cutlass was dislodged from the impact and landed harmlessly in the middle of her tongue *** >Rainbow Dash wasn’t one to take such a cheap loss so easily >she had been cheated by that miniature pirate and his stupid feather >it was only fair that she claim what was rightfully hers >and so she did >both front hooves behind her head, Rainbow floated lazily on her back as the drama inside her mouth played out >plastered across her muzzle was a grin of smug victory >she felt the two figures slide to the back and into her throat >with an audible gulp she sent the two on their way to meet with the rest of fleet resting in her belly >much smaller than the previous boatponies she had swallowed, she barely felt them as they were dragged deep into her >soon enough, their trip had ended and they were deposited securely in her stomach >she let out a sigh of contented satisfaction and remained floating on her back, gently rubbing her belly *** >Anon’s head was spinning as he tumbled into the tube below him >getting body slammed by a full-sized horse tends to take the wind out of you >though at least it wasn’t one of the larger warships >he doubted that he would’ve survived a head-on collision with one of them >the slick flesh compressed and kneaded the two further down >all around them were the sounds of a living body >the great thumping of Rainbow’s heartbeat was by far the most dominant >after an endless claustrophobic journey downwards, they found themselves pushed into a more spacious chamber >vision still swimming, Anon struggled to his feet >the ubiquitous heartbeat was now being masked by the groaning sounds of the stomach around them >the first thing he noticed was that it was warm, almost unbearably so >and moist, very moist >it almost felt like an afternoon in the dead of summer after a heavy downpour >the walls were in constant motion, rippling and rolling, making it difficult to stand >looking about, he saw his companion nearby, unconscious from their rough descent >wait, he saw? >it was then he realized for the first time that there was light in the flesh prison >several beams cut through the darkness, dimly illuminating the confined space >he traced one of the beams to their source to find a pair of bored eyes on an equally unexpressive face >it was Fluttershy’s Battleship >she had a few searchlights attached to the boat portion and was using them as an impromptu flashlight >looking around, he saw other members of the fleet, both from Fluttershy’s and Rainbow’s >Submarine was busy off to one side, trying to clean grime off of her goggles with her tail >the Carriers from both sides held each other in mutual misery >of course there was Battleship, looking appropriately disinterested >the only one missing was Destr- >”HI THERE!” >a bubbly voice burst forth from behind Anon >he leapt forward with a startled cry, rolling along the soft floor and into a puddle of liquid >”Hehehe, oops. Sorry there mister!” >Anon wiped the muck from his eyes to see the vague shape of Destroyer >she was eagerly waving a hoof towards him >she had already placed the unconscious fighter safely on her deck >”I guess she got you too, huh?” >Destroyer motioned to the pulsating walls around them >”Aye, the treacherous landlubber pulled a fast one, she did.” >Battleship finally spoke up >”Well at least you didn’t have a terrible commander who got you eaten.” >one of the two Cruisers began wailing >”I wasn’t even on your team and she still ate me!” >she clutched her twin closer as both began crying anew >Battleship rolled her eyes >”You know it wouldn’t be nearly as bad in here if I wasn’t stuck with these two crybabies.” >out of instinct, anon went to place his trusty hat on his head >cursing his luck, he remember that he had lost it on the way down >”Pardon me lass, but ye haven’t seen me hat by any chance?” >Destroyer shook her head but Battleship motioned behind her >”Yeah, but good luck getting it little guy. It fell over on the other side of the stomach there.” >confused as to why it was a bad thing, Anon went to speak >before he could ask, Battleship simply swiveled one of the lights over to the darkness on the other side >the beam landed right were his hat lay >suddenly, a mechanical claw reached out of the darkness just beyond the light and snatched the tiny hat between its two pincers >it retreated back into the gloom just as quickly as it appeared >Battleship shrugged and turned the light back to its original position >Anon had seen many creatures of the sea on his travels but never something like that >”What manner of beast be that?” >Destroyer sidled up next to Anon >or at least as close a mammoth shippony many times his size could get >she whispered under her breath >”That’s Minelayer. She’s not very nice.” >Anon scratched his head in bewilderment, not entirely sure that he believed what he had seen >”Arrgh, I don’t remember any such vessel, sailin’ the line o’ battle” >Destroyer could only shrug and offer an apologetic look >”She kind of just appeared one day. We don’t know where she came from.” >their discussion was interrupted with the chamber around them suddenly shifting *** >Rainbow’s meal had settled nicely in her belly >she spent a few minutes floating in her tub enjoying the feeling of a full stomach >noticing something in her mouth, she spat it out into her hoof >it was Anon’s cutlass >chuckling to herself, she used it as a toothpick before flicking it away >her session was almost over and it was time to leave soon >she should probably get out before Fluttershy finished anyways >she didn’t want to explain where Anon and the fighter were, not without an alibi anyways >hopping out of the tub, she gave her belly one last pat before going to dry off *** >Anon and the collection of shipponies tumbled about inside Rainbow’s stomach >he would’ve been smashed if it wasn’t for Destroyer’s quick thinking >she scooped him up in her hooves and held him secure between the small space between them >luckily, Anon was just small enough to fit >once all of the motion had stopped, anon emerged from Destroyer’s hooves >all the ponies were jumbled in a mess of metal, cannons and legs >they were all groaning and busy attempting to detach from each other >the fighter h ad somehow managed to remain on Destroyer’s deck, unharmed >looking to the side, he spotted his hat nearby >what luck! >but, if his hat was near, that meant that so was… >he turned around and was greeted by the horrifying face of Minelayer >her smile was wide, too wide for her face, and was filled with dozens of sharp teeth >her eyes were tiny pinpoints and focused directly on him >”You…aren’t thinking of taking my new hat are you…?” >her voice was akin to a mix of the feeling of having oozing oil covering you and metal pieces screeching together >in a flash, her crane reached over and snatched the hat >she scurried off into the dark >it wasn’t until she was almost gone that Anon realized that she had left a farewell present >an old naval mine >not daring to move, Anon opted to speak up to get the shipponies’ attention >”Ahoy lasses? We have a problem.” >Destroyer, who was closest to hear him, looked up from the jumble >she let out a cry of distress and instinctively kicked out >her hoof connected with the mine, but luckily didn’t cause it to detonate >not yet at least >it flew towards one of the walls of Rainbow’s stomach and detonated in a bright flash >the entire chamber was briefly illuminated, revealing Minelayer >she had that gigantic grin on and was surrounded by a small mountain of mines >better not go that way, Anon noted to himself >as the light faded, the stomach began to rumble and groan in protest >this gave Anon an idea to escape >the ponies had finally managed to untangle themselves free >anon climbed onto Destroyer’s head and stood on her muzzle >”Listen up me mateys. I’ve got me a plan of escaping this leviathan.” >Battleship scoffed >”You think that you can get us out? You’re tiny, what are you going to do?” >one of the Cruisers spoke up >”Yeah, there’s no way out of here!” >her twin followed up >”We’re trapped in here. We should just give up! We’re doomed!” >they both linked two of their front legs and spoke in unison >”Doooooooomed!” >sensing he was losing control, he spoke up quickly >”Are ye Men-o-war or are ye just content feedin’ the fishes?” >he motioned towards the cannons on Battleship’s deck >”We’ve got the firepower to fight our way out” >he crossed his arms and muttered >”Besides, it’s this or Davy Jones’ locker” >Destroyer spoke up, careful to not knock anon off her snout >”I trust him, I think we can do this!” >Battleship, still with a sour look retorted >”You trust everyone, Destroyer. Still, it’s not like I had anything better to do today.” >Anon outlined the plan >all the shipponies were to unleash a full broadside in unison to make Rainbow sick enough to cough them up >with a few minor objectives from the Cruisers, they all agreed to it >all of the warships line up bow to stern and rotated their turrets to fine >Submarine, who had no cannons, instead stood at the end to launch her torpedoes >on Anon’s mark, they all fired at once, unleashing a massive display of firepower >unfortunately, like the torpedo used against the Alicarrier, shells from the game pieces didn’t explode *** >rainbow was lazily flying about, looking for a good spot to take a nap >her midsection began rumbling slightly >she placed a hoof on it to get it to settle down but to no avail >it wasn’t painful, just annoying >getting fed up, she flew off towards Twilight’s place >maybe she’d have something to calm her belly down *** >after several salvoes, the shipponies were running low on ammunition >Battleship stomped a hoof and shouted over the din >”Some bright idea, this isn’t working!” >they were going to need come up with another plan and fast >because their ammunition didn’t detonate, they lacked the sheer oomph to push Rainbow over the edge >suddenly a thought came to Anon >the shipponies might not have live ammo because they were from the game >but Minelayer wasn’t from the game *** >Rainbow landed at Twilight’s place >once inside, she explained her stomach woes >Twilight was unsure what she could do >maybe if she listened to Rainbow’s stomach, she might be able to figure out the problem *** >it was risky but it was the only way >Anon needed to rile up Minelayer enough to get her to detonate all her mines >it would either give them the punch they needed >or blow them all to smithereens >he really hoped it wasn’t the latter >leaving the warships to continue firing >he crept towards minelayer >she was sitting in the darkness, occasionally lit up by the muzzle flashes >Anon’s hat was perched on her hand, looking comically tiny in comparison >he managed to creep behind her unseen >springing to action, he leapt for the hat, grabbing it as he landed and rolled away >”Yarr! This’ll learn ya to steal from a pirate!” >he tumbled away as Minelayer snapped to attention >her face contorted into a visage of pure rage >instead of giving chase, the same awful grin reappeared >she lazily reached over to one of the mines with her crane >she flung the first one and in an instant was already reaching for another >mine after mine, she launched them at the small figure, each one activating as they landed >the warships stopped firing when they noticed the commotion >eyes wide as saucers, they circled up to guard against the explosion >Anon managed to dive behind Destroyer just as they hunkered down >he pulled his hat tight against his head >and everything went white *** >Twilight brought a stethoscope to Rainbow’s abdomen >putting it up to her ears, she listened in >was…that an explosion? >she looked up in confusion to see Rainbow’s face twist in something between shock and pain >her cheeks puffed out and she let loose an intense belch >all of the shipponies and Anon were catapulted out and into the room >they landed in various places, Battleship saving Anon by catching him >”Thank ye, lass. I wont be forgetting that” >Battleship blushed and turned away >”Yeah, whatever little guy” >he hopped off of Battleship’s hooves and realized that once again, his hat was missing >he didn’t go through all this trouble to leave it behind now >looking around he spotted it nearby >he ran for it, retrieving it without much issue >it was wet, torn, covered with unidentifiable grim and a horrifying scent >just as normal! >he placed it on his head with a wet splurt as a shadow grew over him >looking up, he saw a great purple hoof over him as Twilight backpedaled in shock >”Arrrgh, shiver me timbers…” >the hoof came down with a thud *** >hours later, Twilight had finished rounding up the scattered game pieces that Rainbow had burped up >she finally got the whole story out of Rainbow >after scolding her on the dangers of eating small pieces of plastic, she took the remaining pieces to Fluttershy >Rainbow had told her that she had taken the board after their game >exhausted, Twilight went to bed early >a small green figure climbed up Twilight’s mane as she fell asleep >Anon had barely missed being crushed >he hid in the same small space under her hooves that Destroyer had held him in >finally reaching her ears, he stood in victory >he took a small hook and placed it on one of the folds of her ear >”Yarr! I be commandeering this here pony under the laws of the sea!” Fin
