>as the sun began to lower off in the distance, the  bright light in the sky began to turn orange
>the purple alicorn princess Twilight sat patiently in the royal room as Celestia carefully used her magic to make the final adjustments
>both alicorns had a very long day sorting mischievous political antics after the Tirek crysis
>all they wanted to do was relax, which is exactly what that deserved
>pouring themselves some freshly brewed tea, the both took a seat on the soft rug right next to the fireplace
>the orange glow from the nearby window was gradually getting softer and softer
>Celestia took a few small sips of her cup and Twilight replying with the same gesture
>the silence finally broke
"it's been so long since we've finally had some one on one time to finally chat"
>Celestia nodded
"with your new wings and role as princess of friendship, its easy to understand our busy our lives can become"
>that's all that was said for a whole minute, feeling some of the tension like before
>Twilight knew exactly why she was brought up here, but she was too afraid to ask why

>there was no containment for this however so she just blurted it out
"Princess Celestia, since it's been so long, so you think that we could.... maybe lay together like before?"
>there was no point in hiding the fact that Celestia had invited her into her royal room for a reason
>the outside was beginning to turn into the night sky
>with a small flicker of sparks from her horn, the white alicorn lit the fireplace and pulled a blanket from the nearby cupboard
>standing up to position herself on the softest rug in front of the fireplace, she laid down with her tail and hind legs covered in the extra large blanket
>a wing outstretched underneath, presenting as an invitation for Twilight to take her usual spot once again
>Twilight stuttered in a shy sort of way before speaking clearly
"C-Can I really lay with you again Princess?"
"Please Twilight, for tonight you may call me Tia. I am here for you."
>eager as ever, the purple horse galloped over to the rug and squatted down to back her little rear under the demi-god's wing
>under this feathery and soft shield, she felt so safe and secure
>all was right in the world when Twilight leaned against Celestia and felt her warm radiating body heat
>the outside weather grew colder and colder, but it only made the conditions for snuggling even more desirable
>Celestia tightened her wing to pull Twilight even closer to her side
>she nuzzled with her muzzle
>Twilight giggled as she allowed herself to be assaulted by the adorable touches of her mentor
>their tails flickered a bit underneath the blanket as the wood in the fire made a few cracks every minute
>time seemed to stand still as they both made such loving gestures to one another
>Twilight had been waiting for another night like this for so long that she suddenly began to feel teary
>growing up to be such a heart-filled pony who's battles with many foes have left her somewhat scared
>more than once she had thought she'd loose her beloved princess
>her eyes suddenly became wet and was trying to conceal it but to no avail
"what is wrong my dearest Twilight?"
>she sobbed and looked up
"oh Celes- erm.... Tia... I have missed you so much and have always wished for another night like this. I just want to stay here with you."
>without dropping her smile, the loving white figure leans in and kisses Twilight at the origin of her tears, as if trying to dampen them
>neither of them said anything else, they simply shuffled their bodies from time to time so maximize the cuddling technique of feeling each appropriate part of the body
>Twilight began to nuzzle her horn up against her mentor's soft white fur, not wanting to stop for an instant
>the moonlight now began to peak into the room from the window which balances the glowing fireplace
>feeling a little playful, Twilight began to play hoofsies and would place her hoof on top of Celestia's front hooves
>she would reply by trying to keep her hoof on the top
>noticing her decorative princess hoof shoes still in place, she gently glided them off before continuing their little game
>as Celestia attempted to place her white hoof on top again, she was taken by surprise with Twilight raising her hoof to tap both of Celestias below her own
"I got you now Tia!"
>with a smirk, the larger pony gave the smaller pony a gentle push onto her back before being surprised with a raspberry tummy attack
"PPPPPFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!"
>such a childish move that not even Twilight could see coming
>she laughed so hard and was now completely defenseless, unable to do anything against it
>the both absolutely loved it
