Title: Talos Oversoul & Thalmor's Goals Author: otaku4242 Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/c6jZjpu0 First Edit: Monday 28th of March 2016 02:42:10 PM CDT Last Edit: Last edit on: Saturday 2nd of April 2016 03:30:41 PM CDT ______________________________________________ Proof Talos is the combination of 3 souls _______________________________________________ arcutrian heresy mentions that ysmir and zurin's souls combine   skeleton man's interview says this ""You may know them individually as Zurin Arctus and Talos. The Oversoul was known to the world as Tiber Septim " implying that zurin and tiber's soul combined to form talos   skeleton man's interview was a promotional piece for morrowind. "Keep in mind that these answers are copyrighted by Bethesda."   ______________________________________________ Thalmor's Goals ______________________________________________ step 1: outlaw Talos Worship Step 2: People forget about Talos Step 3: Talos loses power over Mundus Step 4: Unbind the Dragon Step 5: Become like their ancestors   Talos has dominion over mundus, so aif they can make people forget about Talos, Talos will lose power and they can unbind the dragon. Also, Talos is a false god, formed from 3 shezzarines, and so they hate talos and its best to get rid of him anyway.   Talos is "new" as far as Kalpa's are concerned. This is the first time Talos has appeared in a Kalpa. Talos is the thing that holds the current Kalpa together. Talos was a human - humans can be and are made divine, but more on the level of saints. He's worshiped and (through CHIM) holds enough power to prevent Alduin from eating the world and having it restart from Convention. The Thalmor believe that if they can screw up Alduin enough, that it will choke on eating the world (much like the Greedy Man and the Leaper Demon King thought), and creation will implode on itself - then everyone will be an immortal spirit again and the terrible, endlessly repeating suffering of the mortal world will end. And Talos stops them from doing that. Also, he's occupying the spot Lorkhan/Shezarr holds and that is also a red flag. So, Talos is both on par with the Earth Bones and still living and conscious enough to act. And that has never happened before.     The other Aedra cannot act. They died (or became comatose) when they made the mortal world. But he still can, and he doesn't want to let go. This is why specifically Talos is in the way and needs to disappear from worship   Talos is a creation of man, a god of man. As long as the people worship him, he has power within the mythic, power he can use to save humanity from destruction. A step you are missing is that every son of talos (human) must be killed until not only are there no humans left, but the very idea of them can't be repeated Only then will the dragon be theirs to unbind
