When she was   born she came out backwards, seeming unable to do anything right   even from the start. In gradeschool she was a failure. It took   her forever to learn to read, or write, or do arithmetic, she   was always too thin and too lanky to do sports, she couldn't   learn magic, she couldn't even fly, her wings were short and   deformed. Her father was a businesspony and her mother was a   socialite and they all lived together in Las Pegasus, city with   too many problems. Her parents never really had time for her   growing up, her father busy with working for the Weather Company   and her mother busy pedalling for influence with friends of   friends. Disgraced, saddened, and pointless, she decided to   leave, find someplace she could belong.   She could not even do that right. She fled at night and fell   between two cloud banks, landing hard on the ground breaking her   back left leg in three places. She limped along the road a few   miles before collapsing in exhaustion and pain, where she was   found by a rock farmer named Old Reliable, a great mountain of   an earth pony with a mustache and a short mane. He look her back   to his house and family farm, miles away on the borders to White   Tale Woods. There she was nursed back to health, and saw the Old   farmer's hard-working, moralistic, smart all things considering,   and moreover religious family, life, and town. A perfect   contrast to her previous life in Las Pegasus.   The Farmer taught her the Celestian Scrolls, as his father had   taught him, and sent her to a small school, where the teacher   was kind and young and spoke slowly and explained things a   second time, and didn't just rush so everything could be ready   for the test. She was taken to a Doctor who had come from   Manehatten and retired in a small practice, who revealed Morning   had an easily curable muscle deformity, and by that spring she   was fast, and strong, and lettered, and could count to a   thousand and one. All this she attributed to the kindness of her   father who was now her father, and to the blessing of the Sun.   Each day she would rise at dawn to meet it in the air, blessed   in all things.   This passed for about ten years, and Morning [who had lied and   given her name as "Nova" when Reliable first found her] grew   tall. Very tall. The runt now stood near as high as the Princess   herself. Having finshed her education, she headed to Canterlot   to become a priestess. There she met the Princess Celestia, and   became enraptured with the perfection she represented. Seeking   to emulate her further, the tall Pegasus dyed her hair and   refined her mannerisms. Every day in the library she would read   more about the Princess, and change more and more of her   mannerisms to fit it. She adopted a special diet to increase her   height with magic berries. She combed her hair so it would   appear to "wave" when she moved. She bought a pet Phoenix,   despite it being extremely expensive. All this in the pursuit of   mystical perfection. To emulate a demigod.   The culimation of her endeavour came when she was in the Palace   of the Two Sisters, collecting old artifacts to send back to the   museum, when she, quite by chance, came across a hidden room   under the armory. Inside, was the legendary Solar Aegis, held up   on a stand, as clean and immaculate as the day it was first   hidden. Celestia's armor during the Old Kingdom. The magical   armor had the power to spread life, and to give life to the   dead.   She, ecstatic, took the armor back with other artifacts to keep   at the musuem, but, overtaken with the armor's beatiful design,   and knowing it had once protected divinity, kept it in her room   in her house at Canterlot, as she continued getting instruction   as a Priestess.   When the forces of Sombra, Chyraslis, and the Griffons fell upon   Canterlot, Sister Solar Nova was chosen along with a large group   of other ponies, to flee the Nation by ship to the east, led by   the Princess Luna. Donning the Solar Aegis she escaped by ship,   escaping with many civilians and fellow holy mares and   stallions. Now she hopes to return with Luna, to retake the   Kingdom, to find and if necessary rescue Princess Celestia, and   stop this desecration of Paradise.
