Alignment(Optional): H/W: 5/5   Weapon: His claws & jaws; Single Catalyst: Tribal markings   Racials:     Woodscraft: forest navigation DC -1, able to eat and identify any wild flora. Can use stealth in the forest untrained, if the stealth skill is bought it is automatic.     Sound Hound: Passive; Intelligent canines have to put up with so much. However there are some perks to being a diamond dog. While heightened hearing can be annoying at times (you know way more than a dog your age should) with a bit of concentration and focus, it’s a very nifty thing. You can listen on whispers and distant conversations with ease; your ungulate friends can’t keep a secret from you. Allies that know that you can do this can communicate with you in confidence escaping the notice of others (except other diamond dogs of course). Also when an enemy engages combat, for the first turn any attack targeting you hits on a DC+2 (DC+1 for stealth attacks and ambushes). You are also unaffected by light-level.     Skills:     Big Game Hunter: +1 to all rolls against big, scary or otherwise particularly remarkable foes. Once said foe is near death, you may roll to finish it off instantly, even if it isn't helpless.     Child of Gaia: passive; you gain a +1 bonus to rolls when fighting in natural environs. (forests, natural caves, etc.)     Animal Mastery: spell; you can talk to and understand animals, and wild animals obey your orders. For recharge 5 after effect ends, you can instead summon an animal minion of large size or smaller that obeys your orders for 5 turns.     Inventory:         Appearance:     Varg is a Wolf, the forest dwelling cousin of the Diamond Dogs. He has black fur with silver tribal markings about his face and forepaws.   Traits:     Varg hails from a pack of The Old Ways, and as such he sticks to them by heart, even after his pack went astray from them. As a follower of The Old Ways he may seem strange or even horrifying at first glance if seen in action, but has an Alpha's heart and honor, and that will never change.     Now, an alpha without his birthpack, he wonders the world, and despite his tribal upbringing he does have enough understanding of the modern world to know that much of what he finds commonplace and traditional they find most alien.   Backstory:     From a pup he was raised to be an aplha, and fervently learned and followed The Old Ways, but when he returned from his rite of passage to becoming an Alpha, a five year lone journey, his pack had fallen from the old ways. He challenged the alpha and even won, but when he took control he saw just how far his entire pack had fallen; they had twisted The Old Ways beyond recognition, and were far beyond his help. In their eyes he was threwn out of the pack, in his he left in sorrow. Now he wonders the world, following the old ways as he travels, an Alpha with every creature as a member of his pack.   The Old Ways:     For most The Old Ways are comprised of two intermingling ways of life, The Way of the Hunt and The Way of the Pack, but there is a third way of life followed by pack leaders, The Way of the Alpha.         The Way of the Hunt is, to outsiders, the more questionable of the two main ways. It dictates that you make use of every part you can of your kills and hunt with honor, drinking the blood and devouring the heart of your prey so that its essence may live on in you.         While The Way of the Hunt is questionable, The Way of the Pack is much more easily understood. It dictates that you support your pack, your family, with every ounce of your being, that you must trust your Alpha to no end, and that The Old Ways are Law.         Now, The Way of the Alpha, the most important and powerful of all three of the ways. This way teaches that the very world is your pack, and followers of it are given markings when they grow of age and prove their worth as a future alpha. Every beast of the wilds can be helpful and aid you. If your birth pack begins going astray of The Old Ways, do everything in your power to bring them back. As an Alpha you are a teacher, a leader, and a guide, the pillar on which the entire pack stands.
