"One of us needs to go talk to her." >"I'll go," Twilight offered. >"Why not Anon?" Fluttershy asked. >You could see, if only for a second, Twilight and Dash tense up at that. >"We know her better, but Anon knows her, right Anon?" "I help her with chemistry, and thats about it." >"You're social with her when we hang out." >You sigh. "Why don't we all go over?" >"One on one might be best for now, just to see whats going on," Twilight said. "Ok, fair enough. But why me?" >"Because you're the most unknown; you haven't spent much time with her, but she knows you mean well," Rainbow Dash explained. >All the answers seemed like nonsense to you. And you're pretty sure the girls would admit this as well, but this needs to get done. >You walk up to Pinkie Pie, who is still sitting under a tree. >As you get closer, her wild hair seems less wild and more... >Flat. >Or rather long and straight. >Devoid of the bubblyness that is Pinkie. >A lack of happiness as she sits with her knees to her chest and arms and staring at her knee caps. >You get within ten feet of her, and she still hasn't said anything. >You sit down beside her. >Not a peep. >You can hear her breathing, so thats a good sign. >You sit there for a bit with her, saying nothing. "You know Pinkie, I love being alone. I think its pretty great." >She doesn't move. "But I also love helping people. People like Dash, and Applejack. People like you," you say, poking her am softly. >She watches you poke her. >Your finger almost bounces off her like she was a rubber ball. >You say nothing about it, and keep going. "Will you let me help you? Will let me see you smile, smile, smile?" >You swear, if only for a millisecond, a little smile pops up. >"I don't like being sad," she whispers out, her mouth behind her knees. "Then lets make you happy." >You offer her your hand, and she takes it, another little smile taking to her lips. "Now whats the issue?" >"Do you ever feel like everyone wants you gone?" "I've have that happen before yes." >"But at the same time, they don't want you gone, because you provide a use." >Use? "Pinkie, you're more then a use." >"Let me finish. Do you?" >You turn around to face her and take her hand in both of yours. "Look at Pinkie" >"Anon ju-" "Look at me." >"Bu-" "Don't talk, just look. Into my eyes." >You push aside how creepy that sounds. "Do you know why I came over here?" >She shakes her head no. "Because you're friends are worried about you. Do you know why they asked me to come over?" >Again, she gives a negative response. "Because me doing this; with your hand in mine, and looking you in eye means something. Do you know what it means?" >Third negative. "It means that someone cares about you enough to find you, walk over here to you, sit down with you, and try and make things right. I wouldn't do that for a hammer, Pinkie. But I would do that for you." >She watches your face, eyes shooting around it like how one looks for problems on a paper. >Several moments pass and she says nothing. "You can speak, if that wasn't clear." >She giggles. Its a step in the right direction. >"I just don't like this," she says, running her hands up and down. "This?" >"Being younger then everyone. You'll all be gone, and I'll still be here." >"I don't even share a class with anyone but you, and thats because you didn't take Chemistry in grade 11." >She plops down into her knees. >"I like have you all around, and I don't want you to go," she explains. "I know you all have your own lives to live, but that doesn't mean I won't miss you." >You let go of her hand and wrap your arms around her. "Pinkie, we've still got another semester here, don't worry about it." >"I mean after that; you'll be at school or doing other stuff. I know it's selfish, but I like you," >You rub the girls back and let go "Theirs weekends and free days, summers and holidays," you say. "We're here to stay." >She isn't convinced, but she isn't as sad anymore. >You stand up, and offer your hand. "Now if memory serves, we have chemistry, and I would love nothing more then accompanying you to class." >She takes and and you pull her up, before turning around and picking her up for a piggy back ride, and running back to the girls. >The only thing you heard, was her giggling turn to laughing turn to hollering as you ran. >By the time you made it back, her eyes shined and hair was back in its giant form. >== >Classes flew by like a blur, and before you knew it, you were walking to Pinkies house. >She had sent you a text, asking you to come over after school, since she had no work today. >She was sitting on the steps as you got closer, and then ran to you, jumping into you. >You caught her, and spun around. "Someones a lot happier," you say with a smile as you set her down. >She just giggles and leads you into the backyard by the hand. >It's got a few chairs, and varies things of vegetation along with a small stone pavement with a table and chairs. >She leads you to the table and you both sit. >"I wanted to thank you," she says with a smile. "For earlier. I get the girls made you come over, but its still nice of you to have done so." "Well it seems to have worked Pinkie, and thats all that matters. You are happy, right? >She nods fast. >"I am, thanks to you. I can't change what will happen, and being sad won't help. But I can enjoy the time we do have between now and graduation" >You smile at her and give her a high five. "I'm glad you're ok now, I was worried about you and your hair." >She giggles. >"It's always been like that, no idea why." >You smile. Weird hair or not, it's Pinkie that you care about. "So long as your happy, thats all that matters." >She nods. >"I am." >You spend a good hour or two just talking with her over things, and chemistry homework. >She isn't bad at chemistry, but she still needs a little extra help with the subject. >You help her out a bit, and eventually you two finish the homework itself. >Eventually, though, its time to leave. Pinkie walks you to the sidewalk, and you two stand their awkwardly. >She's looking at the ground, and you're looking aware from her. >"Anon?" she asks suddenly, >You look at her, and see her looking at you. >Her eyes shine in the early evening, and her smile is one that puts you at ease. >When she isn't trying to tackle you, or act a little crazy, she's actually a very relaxing pony. >She lunges at you and kisses your cheek, before running off, >"Good night Anon!" she yells as she heads inside her house. >== >Sitting on your bed, reading all of Pinkies text. >If you thought you had mixed feelings about her kiss, it seems so did Pinkie. >She said it was spur of the moment, but didn't regret it since she actually did enjoy you. >You weren't exactly sure what that meant, but it didn't seem right. >At any level, you decided to let the thing slide; its a kiss on the cheek from a happy go lucky girl. "It's fine, Pinkie," you text to her. "Stuff happens. Beside, I'm not against it." >Who would be? If a cute girl wants to kiss you, thats fine. >What matter was Pinkie laughing >Right?
