Not so much. >She wasn't going to fail out of school, that wasn't a worry. >Though at some level you wish it was a worry. >Might inspire her to work hard. >Or at least try. >”I just don't see the point Anon, why do I need to know the importance of 'The Catcher In The Rye'”. >It takes every ounce of will power not to yell at her. “It's not just the importance, Dash,” you say though near gritted teeth. “It's what the book talks about, and its lasting importance.” >”Its a book. How can it talk?” >The sass didn't help either, but at least it was clever at points. “You know what I mean.” >She rolls her eyes and starts juggling two tennis balls. >Despite your best efforts, she refused to study at her desk, and insisted on her room. >Something about it being more comfortable. >She had a large room, filled with the typical things one finds in a bedroom; bed, dresser, closet, and various other materials. >Oddly enough, it was pretty clean; no lose bras or undergarments were in sight. >At some level, you resented this. >But considering it would have been an extra thing to deal with, you don't complain. >Under her bed was a gatuir, acoustic to be specific. >You knew she used to play when you two knew one another. >She wasn't great, but she was 7 or 8 at the time, and neither of you knew better. >A tennis ball lands at your feet. >”Hehe, sorry.” >She leans over to pick it up, but you beat her to it. >”Oh than-” “You'll get this back when we're done.” >Time to end this nonsense. >Dash groans and falls back on her bed, and lays there for several moments. >”Alright, lets do this.” >You smile. >=== >Sitting in class, while the teacher goes on about math. >It's not very interesting, but you're pretty good at it so you took the class anyways. >Dash isn't so she skipped taking math the second she could. >Twilight is sitting beside you, taking notes. >She has far better hand writing then yours so she shares them, provided you pay attention, and ask questions when you don't understand. >A pretty good deal, so you agreed to it. >It's now the fourth week of classes, and october has almost started. >"And that ends todays lesson, I'm expected you all complete pages 20-25 in the text book," accounces the teacher. >He's a tall and slightly crazy, but amusing man that everyone calls Mr. Discord. >He tries to catch students off guard, but everyone knows he means no real harm. >He's just Mr. Discord. >You get your stuff ready, and leave the classroom. >"Anon!" >You turn around and see Twilight. "What's up?" >"I don't have work tonight, wanna meet up at Sugar Cube Corner with the girls and I for homework time?" >Eh, beats being alone you guess. >"Sure, I'll come right after a stop to the washroom." >==== >Arrive at Suger Cube Corner. >It was a popular hangout for most of the teens in town, so finding a table was often difficult. >Thankfully, Pinkie worked here, so she was always able to reserve a spot for the gang. >You mentally sing something about having friends in low places. >You join the girls, and take a seat beside Twilight. >"Welcome, Anon." "Hey." >You pull out your notebook and textbook, ready to do some math. >Twilight switches from what looks like history homework to join you. "Doesn't look to hard," you note, flipping though them quickly. >"And thats why Ah didn't take math," Applejack says with a grin, looking up from her geography homework. >"Says the person who has to memorize a gizzilion different clouds," Pinkie says from her...chemistry? "Pinkie, are you in Chemistry?" >She looks hurt by you. >"Anon, we're in the same class." >...She is? "Where do you sit?" >"Back row, third from the left." >You usually sit at the very front so you don't get as distracted. >But considering you are in the class, one would think you would see Pinkie. >Clearly, you don't see clearly. "Uh, sorry about that. I guess I never saw you. You're not usually so...quiet in class." >She scrunches up her face, and you use all your will power to avoid mentioning how cute it is. >"It's a really hard class, and I need to do well." >Truth be told, chemistry wasn't your best subject either, but you avoid mentioning your 70% in the class. >You get back to work on the math homework, figuring out the problems with Twilight in rapid fire succession. >You both pause for a moment as she goes to get coffee. >Pinkie, Applejack, and Rarity, who apparently got here while you two were working, are staring at you. >"Sugar cube, Ah don't get scared easy, but that was somethang to get scared over," Applejack notes, having finished about half her homework. >"I must concur with Applejack, that was not a sight one sees very often." >You give them a grin and shrug you shoulders. "Math and I work well together," you say. >"You look cute together as well," Rarity notes, a grin two miles wide on her face. >Well, you did walk into that. "She's busy, its important to get things done fast." >"You could stand to slow down with her, Anon. I'm sure she'd appreciate it," Rarity says. "A lady always enjoys the slow moments." >Well dressed, well meaning, and well aimed. >What is Rarity for 500? >Ding. Ding. Ding. "She's not interested Rarity, I think I would know," >Actually, you have no resume on the subject; you've usually enjoy a serious lack of caring on the subject for the most part. >Grad school demanded only finest of grades. >Rarity shakes her head and smiles. >"You would be surprised what women like, Anon." >Twilight comes back with two coffees. >"For you," she says passing it to you. "As thanks." >You take a sniff. >IPityTheDeadWhoNoLongerKnowSuchJoys.jpeg >You look her dead in the eye. "The gods themselves could not ask for a better brew." >Twilight just rolls her eyes at your display of gratitude. >"Shall we get back to work?" "Let's." >=== >You've been at Sugar Cube Cornner for about two hours, and in that time you've finished almost all of your homework, safe for one assignment for chemistry. >Pinkie asked if you two could do it together. >Because a nice guy, you said sure. >Dash showed up about half an hour ago, after pratice. >She never said the sport, and it didn't seem to matter since she always came back STD style >Stinky. Tired. Dirty. >Currently she's working on geography homework with Applejack. >Slowly but surely, she's been getting better at her school work. >She'll never be medical school material, but she'll be Collage/University material. >Which is good enough to you. "Is Fluttershy comming?" >You had been wondering if she was going to be coming, since she hadn't seen her since yesterday. >She was warming up to you. >If only by proxy; she was your bio-partner. >Still, she was fun to be around, and in the very least, you got to be 'that guy' with the cute girl. >Win-win! >"No, she had to head home," Twilight says, stretching out beside you. >Out of the corner of her eye, you could have sworn that her arm slid on your leg. >Dr. Nope will see you know. >Wait, this is Twilight, she doesn't do this stuff purposely; its an accident. >Head, please stop visiting your close personal friend, Gutter. >Your phone buzzes, dragging you out of your thoughts. >You've got mail! >You check it out, and its from Fluttershy. >"Baking Lesson Tommorrow? It's a Friday and my parents are out of town." >Aww yeah, learning to bake them cookies, cakes and pastries! >You quickly reply back with a yes. >"What is it?" Dash asks seeing your smile. "Baking Lesson Tomorrow at Fluttershys," you say. "This guy is about to suck less at something else." >The girls have a collective eye roll, and resume what they were doing. >For a moment, you think you see Twilight tighten up for a few seconds. >"You ok Twai?" Applejack asks. >"Yeah, why?" "You look stressed," you offer. >"I'm fine." >Twilight fine, isn't fine. >=== >Another day, another school week done for a fun filled weekend. >And by fun filled, you mean homework, and spending time with the girls. >As you walk to Fluttershys house, you reflect on how goes what you promise to Blaze. >He'd been away quite often for work, so you hadn't seen him often. >But you still had a promise to keep; help Dash out. >The girls had accepted you, after you showed you weren't a creep or a freak. >That's what external hard drives are for! >Twilight seemed to enjoy being around you, Dash was getting better in school, Pinkie seemed to like from the start, but ever since she realized you could help her in chem, she's been even happier. >Rarity was pleased by sheer virtue that she had someone to bug. Applejack was cool with you so long as the hat problem didn't repeat, and you helped her out when she needed it. >And Fluttershy. >You just got to her house as you came to her. >You two didn't share many moments. >Then again, she was your bio-partnet. >So you two shared strange moments. >=== >"This is the aorta, right?" "Yes," >"Is this the septum?" "Yes now wake me up when septum'er ends" >She didn't find that joke as funny as you did. >=== >You shake your head. >Time to get into action! >You walk up to the door and knock. >You would have walked home with her, but she left school early since every friday afternoon was free for her. >Fluttershy opens the door; wearing jean shorts and a tank top. >Were you a lesser man, you might have made a comment. >But you stare into her eyes. "Hey, FLuttershy, ready to bake?" >She giggles, >"Yeah, come on." >She's already got the stuff ready for make ginger cookies. >Ginger cookies aren't your favourite but you appreciate the uniqueness of them. >She has you do all the work, and try and figure it out, but she helps you along as need be. >You two sit down at her table after you finished cleaning the kitchen and as the cookies baked. >You two were making small talk when she asked if you'd stay for dinner. >You agreed, and she smiled. >The cookies came out not long after you said you'd stay. >Not bad, a little dry, but not bad. >Fluttershy is impressed though >"Well done Anon, I'm proud of you." "Thanks, but it was you who told me what to do." >You swear you see her wink, but it goes no where so you say nothing else. >She has you sit down, since dinner is your reward. >Aww yeah, food! >You sit there thinking about food in silence. >You offer Fluttershy help a few times, but she says she's fine. >Always give you a sweet smile, and glancing at you with pleasing eyes. >Dinner is served soon, pasta, and she pulls out a bottle of wine. >Resling. Germane. >It's a sweet kind, and you know it well. >"I thought it might be nice to share. And it's a low alcohol percentage." "I have a weakness for wine," you confess. >She pours you a glass, and although you wonder how she got it, you say nothing. >"Cheers," she says. You return the gesture. >That first sip is pretty tasty and Fluttershy seems to enjoy it as well. >An hour later and dinner is done, but so is the wine. >Plus a second bottle. >It may be low percentage, but use enough and you'll feel it. >Fluttershy, bless her for trying, is almost wasted. >She can't walk, so currently you're helping her to bed. >At least, you were helping her. >But that didn't work so you're currently carrying her to bed. >Bridal style. >Because, why not? >That, and it was the easiest way to go upstairs and make sure she didn't fall. >She's currently curled up into your chest. >It might be cuter then a pack of corgies running. >She isn't sleeping, since she keeps asking really weird questions. >"Do you think the sky is ok with being blue?" >Still haven't come up with a response to that one yet. >"I bet pencils have feelings, and when you use them its them emptying their bowels." >You gave her a glass of water after that one. >You laid her down on her bed. "Alright, where are you sleep clothes" >"I can change myself." "That's the plan, but where are they? I'll pass them to you." >"I'm fine, Anon." "I'll be just outside your room. Let me know when your done and I'll come say good night, alright?" >She nods, and you leave. >You sit outside the door, unable to see inside. >You're not even outside for a minuet when she calls you back inside. >You walk back in, and see her lying on her bed, with space for you. >"Come join for a bit?" >You gulp. >This wasn't the Fluttershy you knew. >But so long as clothes stayed on, you were ok. >Right? >You lie down beside her, and she lays her head on your chest. >For a reason you can't explain, you start stroking her hair softly. >She coo's at the attention, and wraps her arms around you. >You are now a teddy bear. "Comfy?" >"Very much so," she says tightening her hold on you. >It's not tight to begin with, but she is warm. >And the attention is nice. >"Anon," she wines out. "Yeah?" >"Can you stay with me tonight?" >She looks you square in the eyes and with an innocent face. >You know that it won't be innocent if you do. "I don't think that would be a good idea, Fluttershy. I will wait till you fall asleep, if that helps." >She nods and cuddles back into you. >You just keep petting her hair, and wearing a stupid grin. >=== >Back at Dash's place, also known as home. >Working on homework, because you're bored and its late at night. >It's a six page paper due monday, and you figured you better get it done soon. >Write tonight, finish tomorrow, edit sunday, deliver on monday. >Easy plan, easy stuff. >Dash comes down and sits beside you. >"Anon, can we talk." >You get the feeling this is going to be one of those relationship conversations, but without the sex. >So, a relationship conversation. "What's up Dash?" >"I just a text from Rarity who got a text from Fluttershy who said that she just woke up with a wicked hangover, and no memory of what had happened." >No matter how badly you want to question how that's possible, you keep listening to her. >"And I was wondering if you knew anything?" >You raise an eyebrow. "We had dinner, drank two bottles of wine, I took her to bed, she insisted that we cuddle, and then she asked me to stay over. I said no, but I'd stay until she fell asleep. Which she did soon after." >After you finish explaining, you return to your laptop. >Dash just stands there, watching you work. >"You didn't take advantage of her?" >Now its your turn to stand. "Excuse me?" >"I asked, did you take advantage of her?" "Why would you ask that? What kind of person do you take me for?" >"I don't know." >What. "Dash, what I the hell are you talking about? Do you honestly think I screwed your friend while she was blitzed out of her mind? >"I'm not ruling it out." "Dash, you know me. This isn't who I am. I don't do shit like that." >She says nothing but stares at you. >Really stares are you, eyes glued into your own. >"Would you be willing to say that to AJ?" "If it'll help you, and everyone else, sleep better, then yes. I will say it AJ." >Rainbow quickly texts the girl in question, and gets a reply moments later. >"She'll be here in eight minuets." >The two of you wait by the door in the living room. Dash hasn't taken her eyes off you. >A part of you wants to make a joke or a comment about it. >But another part of you wants be in one singular humanoid person when Applejack gets here. >Dashs phone went off. >"She's here. You sit." "Alright." >Dash goes to the door and lets Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight in. >You think AJ might have broken a few speed laws. >Gulp. >"Ya'll had something you want to say to me?" >You stand and walk right up to AJ. >If I die now, then let me die standing, you think to yourself. "I did not take advantage of Fluttershy while she was intoxicated, nor have I have taken advantage of either her, or any girl." >God you hope this works. >AJ looks at you, long and hard. >Eyes glued to yours. >She takes a step forward, until her breasts are touching you. >You don't move, nor do you dare look away. >"You didn't hurt her?" "I didn't; I stayed with her until she fell asleep." >"Then you left?" "Came back here, and started working on a paper for class." >AJ glares are you for a bit longer. >"He's either telling the truth, or the best liar Ah've ever found. Personally, Ah think he's too much of a nice guy to take advantage of her, and too much of a loyal guy to even consider the idea." >You're not sure how to feel about AJ's assessment, but she ruled in your favour, so you're not complaining. "Thank you Applejack, I think." >Dash shows them to the door and closes it behind them. >You're still sitting in the living room as Dash returns. >She's looking at her hands, and playing with her fingers. >She sits down beside you, but still does not meet your eyes. >"Anon?" "It's ok Dash." >"But" "You were worried about a friend, right? Who am I to get mad over that. The important thing is that the truth is out and people understand it," >Dash looks at you for a few moments before throwing her arms around you. >She isn't crying, but she isn't laughing or smiling either. >You just hold her and let her hug it out. >For some reason, you think Blaze might be right after all.
