Dammit.” >You hear Flint yelling from the inside. >You shakily pull yourself up to the windowsill.   >You see Flint walk backwards and grab a chair. >Maud stands still, shaking her head at him. >You bang your fist on the window, hoping she will turn around and leave. >Flint looks in the direction of the banging. >Your anger multiplies as your eyes meet his.   >And time stops. >He glares at you, and you at him. >You see yourself in the reflection of the window. >Your face showing harsh irritation. >Your eyes exude an orange tint, full of rage. >You focus your vision and see Flint. >A stallion that has caused your anger to control the better part of your life for months. >There he was. >Holding a chair, about to strike Maud. >While you just stand still, doing nothing but staring at a great evil. >You refocus…. >Flint fading from view. >But he doesn’t go away. >You see… yourself.   >Everything suddenly makes sense. >It has to end tonight. >There can be no more anger, Anon.   >In this brief moment of distraction, Maud strikes him in the face with another hoof. >You stumble and fall backwards, another immense pain in your head nearly causing you to black out. >You writhe on the ground, tears forming in your eyes. >The pain was unbearable. >You just wanted to die and have the pain end.   >You try your best to get up, but you are unable to support yourself. >You stumble and fall down on the cold ground. >You cough up a bunch of blood onto the snow. >You begin to shake. >You feel blind. >Weak. >Alone.   >Livid.   >”Anonymous….”   >A voice calls out. >You cough a bit more. >You open your eyes. >You can’t see anything. >You can’t feel anything.   >”You are bleeding….”   >Tears begin to fall down your face. “M-maud....” >You begin to see the gray mare come into view. >Her gentle turquoise eyes calming you. >”…” “…” >You feel her rub a hoof on your chest. >”I am… happy to see you again.” >You try and reach up to her. >The background begins to become cloudy. >Maud slowly leans in and nuzzles your face.   >She feels… warm. >Calm….   >For the first time in months, you finally feel yourself at peace.   >You put your hand on her head. >”I missed you, Anonymous.” “I… m-missed….” >It hurts to speak. >You open your eyes wider. >You wanted to see Maud clearly. >But you couldn’t.   >What you do see is…   >”ARRRRGHH!!” >Maud is thrown off of you. “NO!” >You try and force yourself up. >Flint lifts Maud off of the ground by her neck.   >”If I can’t have you…” “Stop! NO!” >The pain in your head is unbearable. >You try your hardest to lift yourself from the ground. >Maud looks over at you, her face unchanging. >You see her clearly now. “Maud!” >”…then there’s no need for you.” >Flint repeatedly strikes her in the stomach before throwing her down.   >Her body lies motionless in the snow.   >You feel everything around you slow down to a halt. >Snow gently begins to cover Maud’s body. >Flint stands over her, breathing heavily.   >You can’t let this go on. >Flint has to pay. >You have to do it.   >It ends here.   >You scream as time begins to move forward again. >You propel yourself from the ground and begin to sprint towards Flint. >Energy facilitated by resentment surges through your body. >You feel your body shaking from the amount of anger you feel. >Flint turns just in time to see you. >You collide into him with a great force. >”Argh, FUCK!”   >You fall on top of him on the ground. >You immediately feel a powerful pain in your side. >Flint pushes you off of him in an attempt to recover his ground. >You lift yourself up immediately. >Flint coughs, glaring at you.   >”Why are you even here, monkey? HUH!? WHY!!?” >You slowly move towards Flint. >He coughs again, rubbing his side. >”You… are a frustrating fuck, you know that!? You’re worse than this dumb bitch.” >You stare into his eyes. >A smile forms on his mouth. >You do the same.   “Fuck you, Flint.”   >He stomps the ground and rushes at you. >You hold your ground. >He was going to try and tackle you. >You just knew it. >”YOU’RE DEAD!” >Flint is mere feet from you, moving at an immense speed. >You move to the side, causing Flint to miss you completely and fall to the ground.   >He gets up quickly and darts at you again. >You pull your arm back. >He was going to try another tackle. >You knock him square on the face before he runs into you. >The two of you fall to the ground in immense pain. >You hold your face as your vision blurs.   >Flint writhes in the snow, holding onto his face as well. >You jump on him, repeatedly punching him in the face. >Every hit you make causes your entire head to pound. >The pain in your head is unbearable, you feel yourself nearly passing out. >Blood begins to drip from your mouth and nose. >Flint kicks you off of him. >He turns on his stomach, groaning in pain.   >You force yourself up and throw your body on him. >You put Flint in a headlock, squeezing his neck with all of your might. >Flint begins to flail, trying to throw you off of him. >”Get… GET OFF! G-g….”   >The two of you aggressively struggle in the snow, but you don’t let up. >You crush his neck, causing his life to drain away slowly. >Everything around you starts to get dark. >You feel something squeeze tightly around your neck. >You are finding it hard to breathe. >But you keep going. >”Y-you…. Y-you fuck….”   >Flint’s attempts to break free greatly falter. >He hits you weakly, his existence slowly coming to an end. >You close your eyes. >Flint doesn’t move anymore.   >You can no longer breathe. >Your anger starts to subside. >The pain starts to diminish. >Everything escapes you.   >With your last bit of strength, you throw Flint’s seemingly lifeless body to the side.   >And you fall backwards. >Darkness everywhere.   >And…   >…   >You snap your eyes open. >You get up quickly, wiping the blood from your mouth. >You look around; snow gently falls, trees surround you. >Everything is clear.   >You turn around. >You see Maud still motionless, and Flint getting up. >He lifts his head up and looks at you, glaring daggers. >”You thought… that would be enough to get me, you ass!?”   >You don’t feel the anger anymore. >But this still isn’t over.   >”You weak… weak monkey.” >He laughs loudly. “…” >”What’s wrong? You too scared to fight me, now?” >He spits at the ground. >”Well!? COME ON! Fight me!”   “You spent so long hurting, Maud, Flint.” >He snarls. >”What do you fucking care!? She’s useless.” “That’s not an excuse to do what you did!” >”Who are you to tell me what I can and can’t do!?” >He moves over to Maud, lifting a hoof. >”This bitch is the cause of all of this!” “Stop! Stop now!” >”Fu”ck you, monkey! You will NEVER get this dumb- “FUCK YOU.”   >You run at him. >This ass is getting kicked right now.   >Flint charges at you, an evil look in his eye. >”Bring it on, monk-“ >You fist collides with his face. >Flint staggers and falls to the ground. >”Argh, fuck you!” >He tries to get up, but you kick him back down. >You repeatedly stomp his face with your foot. >After a few moments, Flint stops struggling.   >You step backwards, breathing heavily. >”An… Anon…” >You run over to Maud, while you have the chance. “Maud. Get up. We have to get out of here now.” >She stirs slightly. >You wipe the snow off of her and to pick her up. “Maud, come on. Get up!” >”…” >Maud opens her eyes. “Let’s go, we have to get out of here.” >Maud slowly nods her head. >You help her up.   >You leave the bloody scene, carrying Maud in your arms. >You turn around, seeing Flint lie in the snow. >He doesn’t move, nor stir.   >After everything, you still feel empty. >He hurt others, and nothing will take that away. >You look down at Maud. >She’s out again.   >You look back at Flint once more. >You’re just like him. >What you do from here is your choice. >You could be a monster like him, or move on and be something better.   >Whatever it is, it’ll be your decision.   ~
