>There's a great pounding that courses through the walls to echo in your quarters with interspersed with alien babbling.
>The wall opens up to the hallway for the 'regular' troops.

>The copious amount of giant skylights in the full scale hallway blind you for a moment as the window to your own quarters opens with a chime.
>As your vision clears, you see one of the ponies with a sunny yellow mane excitedly babbling something while she continues to tap a hoof against the wall.
>Your room is several floors up from the ground, making it about head level for the space ponies.
>She is totally unencumbered as usual while off duty, with the exception of a piece of paper the size of your entryway is clutched in her mouth.
>You haven't finished rubbing the sleep from your eyes before an awful crinkling noise as the paper is shoved into your quarters like a letter into a mailbox through your open window.
"Daisy, what did I say about banging on the wall?"
>You fish around for your personal translator on the bedside table while she excitedly continues.
>"Hurrm arin a- Human! It is the day of Valentine's!" your translator chirps.
>"I constructed a flat, thick paper printed with a friendly picture and used to send a message or greeting!"
>You gave your translator a flick and it beeps into your ear.
>She only actually said three words.
"What?"
>"Just read the letter, human."
"I can't read this."
>"Some flower colors are not visible to humans, but you are to me. Will you be my object of romantic and affectionate undertones from Earth, ally?"

>The giant pony locks up and stammers.
>"I got you sweets because you're sweet!"
>She suddenly shoves a giant, clear plastic box of chocolates through window.
>Each piece is bigger than you are.
>In the end you shared them with your squadmates but because Daisy told them that candy gifts on Valentine's meant romantic interest, some of the aliens now think humans are sluts.
