Idea: House Merryfeather needs to discipline their son, an adolescent griffon. They call upon the time-honored method of making him whip his whipping boy, for whatever reason. He is completely heartbroken, since he never ever misbehaved before, and his whipping boy was really just his best friend (his parents encouraged them to get close so it meant more when the boy got it). Whatever he did was really severe, and the young noble is devastated that he has to do it, lest his whipping boy be killed. He whips him, sobbing the whole time, apologizing, cursing the gods for his very existence. Why was he there only to hurt his friend.
 
Later, he takes his whippingboy into the shelter of his room, once his parents are satisfied. He takes him and puts him in his bed, and holds him close as he cries. the whippingboy understands, and holds him, too. noble apologizes, and, after a moment of unsuredness, he kisses his whippingboy on the beak. They feel like it signifies their friendship and how much they care for each other. Fades out, and it's later revealed that they are lovers together, are the most famous pirates to ever live, having fled.
