So I typed this up.

>you are Anon, and you haven't seen you bf in weeks
>because he's not in Equestria
>ponies are cool and all, but you miss home
>you're sitting on a bench in town, close to the wall of the town hall building
>this was the wall that had a big green portal appear on it, the portal that took you from your home
>you sit here and wait, hoping it'll be back
>the little horses here pass by, giving empathetic looks
>Derpy stops by once in a while, and talks
>you like Derpy, she's a gentle soul
>people think she's a little slow, but she's actually just awkward in tense situations
"Hey Anon, are you okay? I know you miss your home, but you can't sit here forever,"
>she looks up at you, her head low
>one eye looking at you, worried, the other looking at something else
>you pat her head
"I know, Derpy. I just miss my boyfriend,"
>her left eye wanders while her right settles on you
"It's like special somepony, but for my species,"
"Ohhh, I get it. I see why you're so sad, Anon.  I don't have much advice about that stuff,"
>she replies slowly, carefully, like she always does
>she continues, her voice quieter than usual
"I'm sorry I can't help you more, I never had a special somepony,"
>you start tearing up
>you give her a hug
>after a few seconds, you both sit down
>you wipe your face, and Derpy's eyes both lock with yours
"It's okay Anon, I have a secret,"
>you lean in, sniffling, eyes red, interested about her secret
>she bumps your nose with her hoof
"Boop!"
>she giggles and floats off, blowing soap bubbles
>you start half laughing, and half crying
>you buy her muffins
 
Today was a bittersweet day.
