Title: FutureAnon - Prologue Author: Brewny Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/6MrL2u4a First Edit: Friday 17th of August 2012 11:07:14 PM CDT Last Edit: Friday 17th of August 2012 11:07:14 PM CDT I need a proper name for this story, everything I've come up with blows   >In the early 2200's, an elite force of the most skilled and talented Humans on the planet Earth is formed by the World Government >They are brought together in an attempt to combat the largest threats to man-kind; rebel, military, alien, or otherwise >Each member of this team has a custom full-body suit, built and tailored to their own unique abilities and specifications, using the most advanced technology available; some of it alien >(Think of something like Iron Man, or MegaMan type suits) >You are Anonymous, and you are the newest and youngest member of this elite group >You are also the first to use a new second generation suit, capable of faster speeds, greater strengths, more efficient energy manipulation, etc. >This suit is also capable of linking with any first generation suit, taking it's unique abilities and transforming to adapt to the old tech >It was built as a fail-safe; to not only improve the abilities of the user, but to destroy the other suits should their users be defeated, thus preventing unwanted parties from obtaining the technology >Most of the missions you or your comrades were sent on involved the elimination of either key targets or entire groups of people/aliens; by any means necessary >Collateral damage and civilian casualties were never an issue with the higher-ups >You never liked the idea of killing innocents, so you never deliberately did it >Sometimes though, they were caught in the crossfire >It was just part of the job >You personally were beyond ecstatic to be using a suit that was the peak of human technology, and that you got to use it to rid the world of evil threats >As time went on, you cared less and less about anything else   >The Human race had been looking for a new planet to colonize, as Earth had deteriorated into such a state where it wouln't remain very habitable after another century or two >The problem, however, is that all of the nearest Earth-like garden planets had already been fully colonized by other alien races, and Human's didn't have the kind of power to invade another planet that was populated by a species more advanced than theirs >The world leaders hoped to change that with your team of elite mercenaries and unique power suits >The creation of these suits, and how effective they were, had at least proven to keep the potential attackers at bay >One particular alien species, that was mostly nuetral with Humans, had been working on tech to create wormholes between specific and very distant locations >Your leaders knew they had been using this in secret to bring more of their kind to Earth, and they didn't like it >A location was found on Earth where a major wormhole machine was under construction, and you and a large part of your team were sent to investigate it >Not only are they obviously dangerous, but the wormholes had potential to bring large numbers of military forces from planet to planet, and we just couldn't take that chance >Your team was told to destroy the machine, remove all evidence, and eliminate anybody involved >You personally wanted to hear their side of the story, and learn their intentions, but you knew the others would start attacking the moment they arrived >With that, you went on ahead to beat everybody else there >And so you did   >The location was in a large series of old airport hangers >From the outside, the entire place looks abandoned; not even any posted guards or scouts outside >You fly down to one of the large doors, and flip on your thermal vision >Sure enough, there's a large number of aliens in there working on something big >Covering the cielings, about the size of two football fields lined up next to each other, was a perfectly round apparatus, connected to a large machine that seemed to be harnessing an obscene amount of energy from an unknown source >The hanger doors in front of you were locked, so you just decided to walk through them, creating an Anon-shaped hole in it with ease >Every alien in the building stops and looks at you in shock >You are the first to speak, holding your arms slightly in front of you, raising your hands up "I know what this looks like." >One of the aliens close to you, likely a physicist of some sort based on what he's wearing, walks up to you >"You here to stop us yes? To kill us for making wormhole?" "Well, yeah, that's what my team was sent here to do. But I came ahead of them because I want to know what you intend to do with this wormhole, maybe I can stop them from attacking!" >"You are wasting time human. We here to get rid of your pathetic race. You and your comrades cannot even stop us!" >He turns to face a couple who are standing at what looks like a control panel for the machine >He shouts to them in his native tongue; something you can't understand >The machine begins to power up, sending energy into the large ring apparatus   >Just then, multiple crashes are heard around the hangers, as your comrades arrive in style >A few crash through the same hangar door that you did, one of them ramming you to the ground >You both slide along the foor, ending up right about dead-center under the ring >You'd say a couple dozen of your team mebers had arrived, which is a lot more than usual >They were scattered around the hangers; miraculously none of them had crashed into any parts of the machine >You jump up and take flight, ready to address your allies "You guys, we have to stop these motherfuckers, they intend to use this to wipe us all out!" >"No shit kid, why do ya think so many of us came here!?" shouts the one that had crashed into you "Oh fuck off Cutter, let's just get started already!" >Cutter was his nickname >Most members of your team had one, and most of them were rather simple; based on their specialty, and easy to use in conversation >Everybody still called you kid; you were the youngest after all, just in your mid 20's   >Cutter gets up and dashes for two of the aliens, producing a couple large blades from his arms as he approaches, and quickly dispatches them >Another one nearby, often called Heavy, had transformed both of his arms into large guns; one a minigun, the other a canon capable of charging and shooting short-range rocket-like balls of energy >With a booming and strewn-out laugh, he opens fire on the biggest groups of aliens he can see >By now, everybody had been engaged in battle >Realistically, it was just a slaughter; every single alien in there would be dead in seconds >Hovering in front of the machine was a blue and white colored suit, with miniature tesla coils sticking out of it's sholders >He reached both of his arms outward to the machine, letting loose large bolts of lightning out of either arm and into the machine >An alien voice shouts out in protest >"Fool! You could alter the worm hole, even change it's destination!" >"Good!" the man in the suit shouts >The wormhole, now opening directly above you because you were too stupid to move, is reacting wildly to the power fluctuation in the machine >You can feel a slight pull coming from the wormhole now >Well, that's not good "Tesla you stupid fuck, you're turning this thing into a black hole! Just fucking destroy it already!" >"A black hole!? 'the fuck do you take me for, that's impossible!" he says back to you, obviously having too much fun to care >He charges up his suit again, unleashing more lightning into the machine >The energy shoots through the machine to the wormhole ring, striking around and across it from side to side >Within moments, it fully opens, still reacting wildly and constantly shifting around >Without second thought, you begin to fly down and away, only to realize you're not gaining any distance >Looking around, you see the others attempting to do the same >Before you can even think, the wormhole begins to quickly pull you into it >Just before it takes you in, you spot Heavy firing a large energy blast to the machine >It seems to be slowly escaping the pull of the wormhole >Every single one of you is about be pulled into an unstable wormhole >There's no telling what planet or solar system you might end up in >Seems like you're the first to go...   >After seconds of the indescribable chaos of traveling through a wormhole at unknown speeds, you seem to reach your destination >It looks like a very colorful garden planet >The only problem is that you are not on it >Seems like you were shot out of the wormhole into this small planet's orbit >You're still moving fast enough that you would enter the atmosphere within seconds >And so you did >Your suits were built for extreme heat and cold, but you weren't sure if they could take this >Thankfully they were at least completely sealed with their own oxygen supply; in case of bio-terrorism, of course, but it seemed to work for the vacuum of space too >You transfer all of the suits energy into shields, hoping the heat of rocketing through the atmosphere wouldn't cause any serious damage >The suit seems to perform rather well, making it's way down to the planet below >You now focus most of the suits power to the small jetpack on your back, as well as the boosters and stabalizers in your palms and feet >You quickly realize that you won't be able to slow down quick enough >A small village appears before you, right in your path >Lukily you're able to use your boosters to change your course, now heading for large open fields a few miles from the village >Now using most of your energy to slow your momentum, you hope for the best, no longer able to really see where you were going >Within a few more seconds, you slam into the ground, forming a large crater
