We'll go over the easiest and most popular, so you can get back to 4chan ASAP   1. Waiting out the Ban Obviously the simplest mechanism is to simply wait the ban out. Given I'm banned for 30 days, and you are most likely banned for 14 days, this seems too long.   2. Renew IP If you are part of a small business or school, you may be able to request a new IP on windows, open up command prompt and type in "ipconfig /renew"   3. Restore Router Sadly, this will not work for small home networks. In these cases, we will have to restore the connection to our router. This works best on cable internet; DSL tends to have a static IP   First, connect to your router: http://192.168.1.1 is the usual address http://192.168.1.0 is the secondary one.   If neither of these works, this website may be of some use. http://www.ipaddresslocation.org/router-ip-address.php   Now that you are in your routers set up, you may need a password to enter it This is the list of all router default passwords, in detailed orange glow http://www.phenoelit-us.org/dpl/dpl.html   If your website has a non-default password, you can simply use a pin to hard reset it This will change the password back to default, and force you to lose all configuration data Use as a last resort: simply push a pin into one of the holes in the routers case.   Now that you are into your router, look for a tab that says "status" or "setup" for an option to release your IP On my netgear, it is in "router status", and through a push button at the bottom, so look quite thoroughly.   When you find it, hit "release IP". This will, intuitively, release your IP to all 0's. Now quickly disconnect the router from your modem, and turn the modem off completely. Be sure to remove the batteries from it as well!   The time you will need to leave your modem unplugged is variable: I try 20 minutes to start. If you are part of a large network with many people, such as a cable network, it will take a short time. If you are part of a network with one particular port per person, such as DSL, it may take overnight. Experiment to find the timeframe right for you using exponential increase!   Try 20 minutes, then try an hour, then try 8 hours (overnight), to minimize time messing with it.   When the wait time is over, you will need to change your MAC address. This can be done through the MAC CLONE or MAC SPOOF function; mine is found in Basic Settings tab. Once you find it, you may want to change it completely, or merely add to the number at the end of the MAC address. Any change will do it, but I find it helpful and easier to remember the ones used if the numbers mean something in particular.   After the MAC is changed, plug your modem back in, boot it up, and plug it into the router. Then simply wait, or click "renew IP" to request a new IP address.   Check to see if 4chan works, and away you go!   4. Finding New Networks Sadly, not all routers are within reach, and not all networks will give you a new IP. However, if you are in an area with wifi, you may be in luck! New and exciting networks may be available for you! I recommend looking for new routers to connect to; if you happen to find any, you are back on 4chan in seconds!     5. Proxies Finally, if all else has failed, you may want to go through someone elses network. I will not get into details of how to proxy here, but I will suggest this:   Easy Hide IP: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6023120/Hide_IP_Easy_v5.0.4.2_crack   It works pretty well, though many of the automatic proxies are banned for CP. At the very least, it functions quite well as a stop gap before you can reset your router over night. No advice is given, as none is necessary; it is quite easy to use!   Just try to use it as a last resort; it is a limited resource!   Also don't forget to poop your pants... no seriously, the best way to interface with your router is to poop your pants...   Alice tutorial End
