Twilight's Point of View >Tonight had been a disaster. >All of your friends had missed out on the magical nights that they were expecting. >Luckily Spike brought you and your friends to your old favorite donut shop. >Only you and Rarity still remembered how disappointing the night was. >She was always overly dramatic, so you assumed she'd be okay soon enough. >While everyp0ny was eating, you heard the bell above the door ring. >Princess Celestia! >Finally. All you had wanted to do all night was talk to her. >She sat down across from you. >"So my number one pupil, how is Anonymous doing?" >"Anonymous is great. He's inquisitive, polite, and very observant. He's been at the library every night since you sent him. I actually wanted to ask you about him." >Celestia laughed. >"That sounds like a completely different creature. He did not act that way when I first met him." >Now you were interested. >"How did you meet him Princess? He's not like any creature I've ever met or even seen in a book before." >"Oh it's a long story Twilight. It would bore you." >"Can you at least tell me something more about him? He's been asking a lot of questions, some of which I can't answer." >The smile left Celestia's face. >"Let's leave questions about his origins unanswered for now Twilight. What specifically did you want to know?"   >It was unlike her to be so mysterious, but you decided to press on anyway. >"Okay. Could you help him regain his memories? I know it really bothers him that he can't remember his past. As much as I want to, I can't help him with that." >Celestia eyed the rest of the ponies in the shop. >"Come with me Twilight." >The Princess led you outside. >"Twilight, this creature, this Anonymous, what do you think he is?" >Was this a trick question? >"Um, I would guess that he's something similar to a monkey, but bigger and much smarter." >"You are correct." >You beamed. You loved praise from your mentor just as much as you liked being right. >"His species is one called human. You are not to tell anyp0ny what I'm about to tell you, do you understand Twilight?" >You nodded gravely. >"His species is a crafty and violent one. Fortunately for him, he is a particularly lazy and unmotivated specimen. If he wasn't, he'd be on the moon right now." >You could maybe see crafty, but Anonymous hadn't shown any violent tendencies. In fact he was less aggressive than some of your friends. >"But Princess, how do you know this? How do you know so much about him and his species?" >A prideful grin appeared on Celestia's face. >"I was one of the first to meet him, and I was the one who relieved him of his memories."   >You gasped. >"But Princess, why didn't you trust him? Surely he's a nice pon... human. You saw that didn't you, you know, when you saw his past?" >She gave you her usual warm smile as she but her leg around your shoulder. >"Come now Twilight, why don't you trust me? I heard you almost call him a p0ny. He is not one of us. He does not think the same way, nor does he hold harmony and goodness to nearly as high a standard as we do. He is unpredictable, he could be... dangerous. The safety of all of Equestria is a higher priority than the potentially chaotic memories of one creature wouldn't you say Twilight?" >When she put it like that... >"I saw the humans Twilight. I saw what they had built and what they had done to each other. They even had the audacity to call it progress. Half of their lands lived lustful, greedy lives while the other half perished. War Twilight. Do you know that term?" >"Yes, organized violence for a cause, but in the past it has only been waged when we had to..." >"That is correct Twilight. Human's needed no such valiant reasons as ours. They waged it for greed veiled by diplomacy, and on massive, destructive scales. Constantly and never ending. That sort of viciousness cannot be tolerated in our peaceful land can it?" >You were now a little afraid. >"No of course not..." >"Now I will be willing to give him some of his memories back, but not of his species' deeds. He can have his past, but I will not allow any influence from his species into my kingdom. You can tell him I will restore his memories, but do not tell him to what degree. Remember, tell nop0ny what we've discussed. Do you understand Twilight?" >"I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that..." >"And send me updates on his progress in our society. Tell him there will be a chariot for him at noon tomorrow. Goodnight Twilight. "   >And with that she took off into the air towards the castle. >She clearly had a good reason. You cared about Anonymous, but who were you to threaten the harmony of all of Equestria. He would be getting what he wanted mostly... >Memories of himself and his family would surely put his mind at ease and his curiosity to rest. >Your uncertainty stayed with you throughout the ride home. You knew to what esteem Anonymous held truth, but this seemed like an acceptable compromise. >Yeah. You could live with a compromise. >But you couldn't convince the frown to leave your face. >You looked around the cabin. >Everyp0ny was asleep except for Rarity who had been drinking the bottles of cider she bought before you had all left when she thought nop0ny was looking. >She dropped the third to last one on the floor with an audible clink. >Maybe Blueblood had hurt her more than she had let on. She was a very proud p0ny. >Perhaps you should warn Anonymous... >No you couldn't keep a straight face for him right now. >He'd be okay. And he was probably asleep anyway. >The carriage came to a halt. >You'd just wait for him to come to you. >Not such a bad night after all, you told yourself.   Anonymous' Point of View >You were practically skipping around the dinner table. putting the finishing touches on your meal. >You had gone all out, for this was a good night. >The Princess is wise. The Princess is compassionate. The Princess is powerful said Twilight's voice in your head. >You were assuredly close to being whole again. >You knew you could trust Twilight to be convincing too. >But first, tonight, you would show your original kindly benefactor your gratitude. >You heard the front door open followed by a bang and the sound of something hitting the floor. >You ran to the noise. >Rarity was slumped against the wall trying desperately to pick up an empty bottle on the floor while holding onto a full one with the same hoof.   >You stepped behind her and shut the door, then proceeded to take both bottles from her. >"Hey thoshe are mine...Anonymush what're you ding up?" "Uh hey Miss Rarity, you've arrived. Allow me to escort you to a late night banquet fit for a lady." >She rolled her eyes up at you. >"Ish about damned time shum p0ny treat'd me like a lady." >Huh. Contractions, slurring and obscenities. >Most un-Rarity-like. >You offered her an arm, which she immediately grabbed a hold of to steady herself. >"Less go then." >You were starting to think you should just put her to bed. >"I've drank a teenshy bit so I'm not atall thirshty, but I'm shuretainly hungrey though." >She them promptly puked on your feet. >Yeah definitely bedtime. "Alright let's go." >You hefted her onto your shoulder and carried her upstairs. >She kept mumbling something about blue blood and a certain lack of gentlecolts in Equestria. >You gently placed her on her bed. >She sat up and looked at you. >"Yer a gentlecolt... er monkey shumthing." >She closed her eyes halfway and gave you a sloppily seductive smile. >"We're both here and ther'sh a bed..."   __________________________________________________ >"Oh Anon. It didn't even take you a week to bed one of those innocent ponies. And the fancy prudish one no less!" >Discord interrupted you again. "Calm your jimmies you pervert. The time for rustling has not yet come. At that point I didn't even have any memories about sex. All I had was that fallback encoded into me by Celestia. Courtesy." Discord looked disappointed. >"What, I've been here a long time. Tell me did you fuck any of them while you were up there?" >You sighed. "Do you have a pony-fucking fetish man? If I did I'll tell you at the appropriate time. Censorship blows, and I won't do that to myself, and I suppose you probably have been here a long time..." >He perked up. >"Good to hear. Miss no opportunities, and have no shame Anon. They are sentient and there aren't really any alternatives. They can consent, unless..." "Nope. That night with Rarity was the closest I got to rape, and it wasn't even close. I'll continue now if you can hold yourself together." __________________________________________________ >You turned away from Rarity. "Look I'm not sure what you're getting at but you should probably just sleep." >You turned around to see her snoring peacefully on her side. >You tucked her in, went back downstairs and blew out the candles. >Tomorrow would be better.   >You woke up at 11:30 the next day. >After the incident the night before, you expected Rarity to still be in bed. >You were surprised to find her at the kitchen table with an icepack on her head. "Uh hey Miss..." >"I am going to stop you right there Anonymous. Last night - we will never speak of it again. Do you understand me?" >The coldness of her voice convinced you that you understood perfectly. "Of course Miss Rarity. I'll just be going..." >She turned to face you. >She looked so unkempt you almost laughed. >"I do however want to thank you for the dinner you so kindly had planned. It was a nice gesture. I do have one question though." "Sure, what?" >"If you were planning on having dinner with me, why did you not accept my invitation? Am I not up to your standards?" >Her voice began rising near the end. "Uh... I'll be at Twilight's. See ya." >You ran out the door. You could hear her yell behind you. Nope. >Once you got to the library, you walked in to find Twilight in the kitchen with a freshly baked cake. "Hey Twilight." >She jumped at the sound of your voice.   >"Hi Anonymous," she said in an almost too cheery voice "I have good news and chocolate cake." "That's the best kind of news and the best kind of cake. Let's hear the news first then we'll deal with the cake." >"The Princess told me she'd help you." "That's great. When? Because I'm ready whenever." >"The chariot will be here at noon." >You were finally going to find out who you were. "That is good news. Thank you so much. Are you coming?" >She looked away. >"No, I have things to do today, but I'm sure you won't have any trouble. I'd offer you some of this cake I made for us but I think the chariot's here." >You looked outside. >Indeed it was. >Twilight grew serious. >"Treat the Princess with respect Anonymous. Don't say anything she might misinterpret. Just... make sure you come back." >That sounded ominous, but Twilight took things too seriously sometimes. "I'm sure I will. I'll be back late to re-introduce myself. Bye Twilight. Thanks again." >She wouldn't meet your eyes. >"I hope you find what you're looking for." "I'm sure I will." >With that you left and shut the door, Twilight looking after you as you went.
