>You are anon >And you are lonely as fuck >And usually not superstitious >But you have happened to acquire a certain book a few days ago >Well, less acquire and more like the book fell on your head while you were in the library looking for comics >Anyways, it looked old as fuck, the pages already yellow from the years >The cover was old letter and had your typical edge pentagram in a circle on it >Runes that looked like they were made out of gold were directly below, but you weren't able to read them >Not until yesterday at least >You've been bored all day, having basically no reason to go outside >So you did the logical thing and started researching the symbols on the book >Turns out they go way back into the middle ages, some kind of religious fanatics seem to have made up this language >Being able to decipher the book cover using the cheat sheet you found online you had to laugh >Revelation of the Occult - The manuscript of the eldritch >Shit's even more edgy than you expected >Putting the book back into your barely used bookshelf, you check the clock on your PC which is indicating that it's time for bed >You just plop down lazily, not even bothering to undress or pull the sheets over you >Falling asleep quickly didn't work though, your mind kept drifting off to the book >Odd curiosity has taken a hold of you, you remember that as a child you always wanted to be some kind of monster hunter >In retrospect you feel really dumb and cringe, but who doesn't when they think of their younger self >It might be 3 AM but a little more research couldn't hurt, you say to yourself as you sit back up >Powering your PC back on and grabbing the book you open up a random page >As expected it's more of that runic language, but you shouldn't have trouble translating that >Going back to the beginning of the book you slowly start to make your way through the pages >The more and more you translate, the more and more invested into this you get >Contained in the book is a bunch of stuff, starting with protecting yourself from spiritual beings, to blood magic and finally to summoning demons >A hearty yawn escapes your mouth, a peek at the clock reveals to you that you've worked until 11 AM >Finishing the translation of the last page you save the file to your computer, send it to your printer and flop into bed again >Sleep is quick to overtake you, leaving you snoring softly   >You sit upright in your bed >Holy shit, it's been a long time since you last had a nightmare this bad >It was about.... well... Shit, you can't remember >It really spooked you out though >The alarm on your nightstand shows that it's 10 PM, you slept through the entire day >With a shrug you stand up stretching yourself, a few of your joints popping >Lazily you head to your kitchen, grabbing a box of instant noodles for dinner >As you finish you zap through the TV, nothing really striking you as interesting >Same on the web, looks like most sites are pretty much kill >Leaning back in your chair, you sigh >A sudden noise like something fell on the floor comes from the adjacent room >Quickly checking, you find the book lying on the floor, one of the pages showing the circle with a pentagram you have seen multiple times >You immediately recognize this to be one of the summoning rites the book describes >You think you just found something to do for the night >Picking up the book you head to your computer again, opening the translation file and looking for the proper page >It's pretty far down, but you think you got it "Let's see, 5 candles, a sacrificial knife, the usual...." >Skimming over the page containing the ingredients you get down to the end with an unexpected entry >Listing a strand of horse hair confuses you, but you don't question old rites >Luckily, you got a bow for a violin around, that should do the trick >The sacrificial knife was easy as well, you just had to stab yourself and use the blood to coat the blade >In your cupboard are 6 scented candles, you sincerely hope they work as well >You also pick up the salt you had left in your kitchen >The beginning of the book explicitly advised you to secure all doors and windows with a trail of salt if you were to summon a demon >Heading into the study, you lock the door so nobody could disturb you >The salt is neatly placed in front of the door in a line and in front of the one window you have >You pull down the blinds, blocking out the lights from the moon and the street lamps >It was time to begin the process >Cutting your arm, you let the blood drip onto the knife and rub it in, all the while reading chants from the book >As you finish your last incantation the blood suddenly gets absorbed into the blade and makes it emit a faint, red glow >Pulling out the notes of the summoning ritual, you cut your finger and let the blood drip on the floor >Drawing the circle with your blood, you place the candles at the 5 edges of the star, dripping a few drops of blood onto each candle before lightening them >The flames turn red almost immediately and you begin to read down the words in the book >You can feel a bit of an airflow somehow, even though your window should be completely locked, but you ignore it and continue reading >The flames from the candle start to grow with each of your words, all the while you start to feel weaker and weaker with each passing second >Soon you are done and as you speak the last words, the fire of the candles extinguishes in a puff of smoke >As it disperses you see...       >Absolutely nothing >You believe to have reached an entirely new level of disappointment >Even though you followed the exact steps the book has been telling you >Nothing happened >Throwing the book on the floor in frustration you sink to your knees >The adrenaline you built up over the course of the ritual leaves >Oddly enough you feel devoid of most of your energy >It leaves you sinking to the floor, unable to stand back up >Your entire body hurts and a glance on your right arm still shows the blood flowing down your arm and finger >Is this it? Dying because you lost blood? >The irony leaves you with a chuckle, you never thought you'd die by cutting yourself someday >Lightheaded you close your eyes letting out a final breath before falling asleep   >"-stard just fell the fuck asleep while summoning" >Something feels like it's hovering above you >You try moving your fingers, trying to get your feel back >Slowly opening your eyes the room is completely dark >Letting your gaze slide through the room you can't really make out anything unusual >Until you look upwards >Your blood freezes as you stare into these glowing, golden eyes, a pair of slits serving as pupils >They are staring at you, unblinking >"Oh aren't you a sweet looking treat?", a clearly female voice >Finally your eyes started adjusting a bit and you are able to make out a mouth full of sharp teeth >The other creature's next move just made you a lot more uncomfortable >A long, pointy tongue slides out of the demon's mouth, licking her lips >"I sometimes have scum like you for breakfast", she continues on >You feel like shitting yourself as she towers over you >An attempt at crawling backwards has been made, but to your displeasure it was in vain >The beast just used one of her hooves to hold you back, pinning down your leg as her face draws closer to yours once more >Once more her long tongue extends, the appendage carefully licking your cheek >The cold and wet sensation doesn't ease the terror you are experiencing >It quickly retracts back, a "hmmmm", sound coming from your successful ritual >Wait a moment... "Y-you c-can't harm m-me! I-... I summoned you! Y-you must obey me!" >A pitiful attempt at saving your skin, but the best you could do >It sounded far more shaky than you hoped though >The smile quickly disappears from her face >"Someone who knows the rules I see? Well, then you surely also know that if you are too weak I'll just posses you?" >You gulp, the book hasn't mentioned anything like that at all >"But since I am in such a good mood, and rather impressed that a weak bug like yourself was able to call me..." >She takes a few steps and suddenly the candles lighten themselves, the blood circle emitting an eerie glow >That devil stands in the middle of it, balancing on 2 hooves >It's the first time you see her features, standing like that she is almost twice your height >Her dark red fur reminds you of the color of blood and her mane is a smoky gray >She wears 2 massive horns on the top of her head, you wouldn't be surprised if she already used them to stab someone >Her piercing, golden eyes lock onto yours and a smile forms on her face again, her canine's clearly showing >She extends a pair of leathery, gray bat wings, giving them a few flaps >Her tail, slender and blood red as well moves unpatiently around the floor >At the very end there's a heart-shaped and razor sharp part >A massive pentagram is visible on her flank, giving of a similar glow to the circle she is currently standing on >"My name is Auroras Neristein Mistralis, remember that name, fucker", she proudly exclaims >A hoof now points to you, "and I shall grant you a wish." >"So what will it be, what did you summon me for? Should I kill someone? Do you want to be rich as fuck? Get on with it, cunt, I don't have all day"
