>>Prologue   >War has broken out in Equestria against a powerful enemy >An ancient dragon from before Celestia and Luna’s time has awoke from its “eternal” slumber >Upon its wake, it spent no time in wrecking havoc upon multiple small towns and villages near Canterlot >With such short time to prepare for the threat, Celestia and Luna sent their soldiers to try to contain the beast and keep it from terrorizing other parts of Equestria >After months of relentless attacks on the beast, it finally decided to go on the offensive and attack the town of Ponyville >The princesses had grown attached to the little town and sought to protect it at all costs >After many hours of contemplating, they concluded that they will make their final stand at Ponyville >They scavenged their remaining troops and supplies and headed towards the town >Wasting no time as they entered the town, she flagged down the six wielders of harmony and their human friend >The princesses gathered them up in a tent to explain to them about their battle plans on how to slay the dragon once and for all >The six wielders were then given their respective elements of harmony to use in the final battle >Headstrong and full of valor, the seven companions agreed and decided to split towards the middle of town to calm its citizens >Before the human left the tent, the princesses presented the human with a specially crafted sword, shield, and armor set >In the middle of the town, the princesses tried to calm its inhabitants down, assuring them that they have no need to worry >Shaken with fear and panic, the citizens were calmed with the princesses’ words of courage and honor >As the dragon drew closer to the town, the nine warriors left to join the rest of the army at the battle line >The final assault drew close, and the soldiers grew frightened and restless >Celestia took the moment to encourage her troops with a Shepard-like pre-suicidal attack speech to encourage all of the troops >It worked >The final attack finally went under way as explosions and smoke filled the sky >The six wielders of harmony took their planned positions to take out the dragon with one concentrated blast from the elements >The human acted as a decoy, leading the dragon to its destined spot of demise >With the dragon weakened from all the previous attacks, the elements should have been able to destroy the ravaging beast, but its power was far too strong to be taken down so easily >With only one option left, the six wielders had to come to a grim conclusion >They sacrificed themselves to give power to the elements in order to destroy the beast >With a bright flash of light, the dragon ceased to exist >Having no owners left to carry them, the elements of harmony each flew across the land >The human was thought to be dead as well, but was found by Luna, barely clenching on to life >Time has passed, everything was rebuilt, but there was a certain emptiness left…
