I'm TOTALLY a leader!"       "Sure y'are," says Applejack, rolling her eyes and falling back in line with you as you continue to the general's tent.       The four of you and Longsnout weave through the army camp. There must be hundreds of soldiers, perhaps thousands, with tents displaying the heraldry of every city in Equestria. "If this means they've abandoned the cities..." murmurs Twilight, but her voice trails off.       What catches your attention, however, are the unmarked soldiers. You see small detachments of them walking around in special, modern-looking armor. Rather than the more ceremonial weapons, they're carrying guns and other exotic firepower. You can remember them from one of your dreams - troops like them were guarding the lab before the incident.       "We're almost there," says Longsnout. It's hard to see by the light of muzzle flashes, but you can see the reception area just up ahead - and the surreptitious back-door that leads into the maintenance area. "Over there!" you shout, pointing to the door.       "Rainbow Dash!" Rarity shouts from behind. "Help us with Fluttershy!"       You turn back to see Pinkie and Rarity struggling to get Fluttershy moving as she locks up, screaming and panicking. Rainbow Dash hisses in frustration. "Seriously? One of the soldiers throws it open, only for a trotter that had been leaning up against it to fall on top of him. He screams some kind of curse, but there's a spurt of blood as the corpse finds a soft spot in his armor and bites down.       "Damnit, we've got one down!" shouts a soldier standing next to the fallen one, who opens up and blasts both his former comrade and his attacker. Two unmoving bodies are laid out on the floor - you have flashing memories of stoving their skulls in with a tool box during your escape.       "We still need a security pass," suggests Major. The tram-lines lead deep underground, and at the end a heavily-fortified entrance to a vault that could let the whole lab survive for years. You also remember the massacre when it turned out there were already test subjects loose at the tram station. It had its own generator, a more conventional one, but with the power out all over the facility you're pretty sure the trams up to the bunker won't work.       "I know the way," you say, with shaky confidence. "Book and notes first, right? We have to cut through a few of the labs and take the stairs down to the tramline. The testing site was built external to the rest of the facility."       "Okay," says Major. You can't tell, but you're pretty sure he's eyeballing you. "Lead the way. But stay close, there's still a lot of monsters, out there."       You take point with Major, while his troops and the helpless Elements follow. Leaving the maintenance tunnels is easy enough, but once you're in the laboratories going gets tough again. The lack of visibility and piles of disrupted science equipment makes it difficult to tell a safe route forward.       "They could be all around us," Major warns. "Don't shoot unless you absolutely have to."       You see a flashlight catch the silhouette of one of the dead, standing stock still in a hallway just outside of the lab you've just stepped into. The lines stretch into a rough-cut bedrock tunnel, sloping gently downward, but if you squint you can still see a faint light at the end of the tunnel - there's still power at the bunker.       "That it?" says Major, pointing down toward the distant light. "A-and I think there's more of them ahead. Is there somewhere we can go to join you?"       "I'll find them," says Twilight, the magical fire on her horn burning bright. "We'll be right there, Longsnout! Stay together and watch out for any more dead!"       The other Elements spill out of the tram, which has finally arrived. "Twilight!" shouts Applejack. "What in-"       "No time to explain!" she shouts. "Longsnout and our friends are in the lab, I have to go get them and bring them somewhere safe."       "Wh-what?!" she says. "Where? "Up the stairs!" you shout, and you disappear again."       This continues all the way back through the lab, until you reach the lobby again and find a few dozen desperate soldiers and a few dozen more familiar survivors. Even clearing the labs presents no obstacle, though she does cause a lot of collateral damage to the equipment laying down fire while nearly a hundred panicked ponies rush past her.       You only catch your breath again when you reach the tramlines. "Wait for the trams," she suggests.       You put Applebloom and Sweetie Belle on the very first one - as if you wouldn't - and return with them and the first batch of survivors.       "Applebloom!" shouts Applejack, when her sister dives off the tram and on to the station.       "Applejack!"       "Sweetie Belle!"       "Rarity"       "Pinkie!"       You glance at Pinkie for yelling.
