>A beeping noise wakes you. >You sit up and look around. >How did you get in a hospital? >Berry Punch, Cherry Berry, Fluttershy, and Rainbow all stand around your bed. "Hey, all." >They all say some form of greeting. "How did I get here?" >Nurse Redheart, who had been behind the curtain to your left, comes out and answers. >"You suffered a terrible fall and are lucky to be alive." "Oh yeah... The zeppelin." >As she goes on to talk about how lucky you are, you look at everyone's faces. >Berry looks happy that you're okay. >Cherry looks angry, but she's here, so that means she cares. >Fluttershy looks like she was worried at one point, but is okay now. >Rainbow isn't making eye contact with you, she just stares at the foot of the bed. >That's strange. >You'd think her to be the first to be glad you're okay. >Tune back into Redheart's voice. >"-and I'm pretty sure if it were any other creature in Equestria, they'd be dead." "Oh wow." >She starts to walk toward the door and you call out to her. "When did you say I could leave again?" >"Oh, you should be able to leave by the end of the day." "Thanks." >She nods and exits. >Cherry Berry walks out with Berry Punch after saying their goodbyes. >The three of you are left in the room. >Rainbow still doesn't make eye contact or even speak for that matter. "So Fluttershy..." >She nods. >"Yes? Do you need some water? I'll go get-" "No no no, I don't need water." >"Are your feet sore? Rainbow, give him a foot-" "Fluttershy." >She stops and looks at you. >You smile sincerely. "I'm alright." >"Oh, um, okay. Sorry." "It's fine. So, how's the kid?" >She shyly mumbles something you can't really understand. >Then follows it up with, "He's okay." "Okay. Listen, if you ever need any help with him-" >She nods and cuts you off. >"Thank you, but I don't think that would be good for him right now." "Oh. Well okay. That's cool." >"Sorry." >Rainbow clears her throat. >Both of you look at her. >She looks at you. >"Fluttershy, can Anon and I have a moment alone?" >"O-Oh, of course." >To your displeasure, she leaves, shutting the door behind her. >"If you need anything just call!" "Okay!" >Rainbow looks around the room and then back to you. "What's on your mind?" >"Anon, I think you flew." >... "What?" >"You were falling down and then suddenly your entire body stopped and went another direction! It was just like you flew!" >Raise an eyebrow. "But I can't fly. Are you feeling okay Rainbow?" >"Sh-Shut up, I know what I saw!" >You smile. "So what you're saying is that I flew? Did I sprout wings? And an angel halo?" >Lightly chuckle. >"This isn't funny Anon. You should be dead..." >Tears start to form in her eyes. >She hugs your torso. >"I thought you were going to die..." "Rainbow, relax. You should think about how I'm okay now, not about how I didn't die." >"Yeah yeah I know." >She pushes her face deeper into your side and you sigh. >"Anon?" "What?" >"...did you like the cruise?" "I'm sitting here in the hospital and you're wondering if I liked the reason I got put here." >Her ears flatten. >"Oh, right. Sorry." >Feeling bad for her, you put your hand on her head and mess up her mane a bit. "I'm sure it would have been better if I didn't fall off though." >She smiles and gives a relaxed sigh. "Hey." >She looks up from hugging you. "Just because I'm being nice to you doesn't mean I'm interested." >The door cracks open and Fluttershy peeks her head in. >Rainbow quickly jumps back to her chair and wipes her tears away, making herself look the same again. >This fucking pony. >"Oh my, I hope I wasn't interrupting." "You were, and it's a good thing." >Give Rainbow a tiny glare. >Fluttershy looks confused. >"Okay? I was just going to tell you that I have to go." "Alright Fluttershy, see ya later." >"Bye Anon, bye Rainbow." >When she leaves, Redheart comes in. >"Miss Rainbow Dash, visiting hours are over. Anon needs his rest." >Rainbow gives you a sad look and then nods. >She leaves and Redheart stands next to you. >"You should get some rest." "That sounds nice." >You lay back and Redheart dims the light. >"Call if you need anything." "Got it."   Later that day   >You sit at home on the bed. >Thoughts race through your mind. >You remember slamming into two things. >One of them hit you in the side and the other one slammed into your front. >It's really unlikely that you flew, but something definitely happened. >Maybe strong winds? >...strong winds. >Did you really just think strong winds? >What winds could be strong enough to push that much weight so easily? >Unless you've lost about a hundred pounds. >You feel your stomach. >Nope. >How did you survive that? >No, what's more important is how the fuck did you leave the hospital the next day? >Maybe you're just a fucking tank. >Like that guy who got hit by three trains in his lifetime and lived each time. >He probably had some kickass stories to tell his grandkids. >You shake your head. >Back on topic. >Rainbow was right about one thing. >You shouldn't be alive. >Rising to your feet, you put your hands on your face and drag them down to your chin. >What if... >What if she was right about two things? >You walk out of the room and stand at the top of the stairs. >Look down them. >That kind of a fall wouldn't kill you, would it? >...why are you considering thrusting yourself down the stairs in the first place? >Because Rainbow said she thought you flew? >Think about this. >If she was right, then you can fucking fly! >If she was wrong... >You're just gonna jump down some stairs. >That doesn't seem like too much of a loss. >Okay, so you are considering throwing yourself down some stairs. >No. >Not stairs. >You turn back and go to the bed. >Squatting down, you jump up in hopes that you'll fly. >You don't. >All you do is jump. >Hmm... >Maybe you have to be higher. >Stand on the bed. >Repeat the process. >The bed bounces you higher, but you don't fly. >You try again and nothing happens. >Rainbow was probably fucking with you. "Fuck this." >Letting out a sigh, you get off the bed and go over to the stairs. >Start walking down them as you think. >Why would Rainbow lie like that? >That doesn't seem like her. >But she isn't really the element of honesty either. >Maybe you're just thinking too hard about- >You step down expecting to hit a stair, but instead hit the floor. >A surge of adrenaline bursts through your body as you feel as if you're falling. >Your body flips upward and you faceplant against the ceiling. >Landing on your back, you gasp for air after being winded. >Rainbow might be on to something.
