>"Unfortunately, I have my duties to attend to." >Celestia drops her head solemnly. >You think briefly, then fish a bit out of your pouch. >You use your thumbnails to scratch a new design on it. "Hello. I am the sovereign country of Anonymous." >She seems confused. "Since the rarer something is, the more valuable is, if I have something that there's only one of, it has infinite value." >"I suppose that makes sense." "I would like to trade you your entire country for my entire economy." >You hold out your coin. >She accepts it, seemingly in a trance. "Thank you." >And that's how you became the king of all of Equestria. >Can't say you feel much different. >Wait, if you're the king, and the princesses aren't related to you, that means they aren't princesses. >That'd just be weird. "For my first act as king, I'm adopting you and your sister as my daughters." >Celestia blinks a lot, then recoils suddenly. >"Wait, what?" "I'm the king. You traded your entire kingdom for a bit, so now I own it. The owner of a kingdom is a king, therefore I'm the king." >She starts to hyperventilate and mumble to herself. >You drape your arm over her shoulders. "It's fine. Everything is fine." >"No it isn't! how am I going to explain that I sold ALL OF EQUESTRIA FOR A SINGLE BIT!?" "You wont." >"What?" "You're still the princess. Just don't mention that I'm the king. Nopony's going to ask." >She calms down a lot, and hugs you. >It's very comfortable. Ponies are warm. >"So I don't have any duties any more?" "Sure, why not. I'm sure they'll sort themselves out on their own." >And that's how you fixed everything for everyone ever. >You extricate yourself from the hug, and dust yourself off. >You still have nothing to do. "So, what now?" >She taps her chin in thought. >"I... don't know. I had my entire week planned out, but now, nothing." "That's why I'm here, isn't it? To break the shackles of monotony and allow entertainment to roam free." >You glance out a nearby window. "Let's make something better!" >You grab Celestia by the hoof an leap out the window. >It shatters, and you pass through. >You hold Celestia closely, so when you combat roll she doesn't get hurt. >Springing from your roll into the air, you look for a hotel or somesuch. >Locating some sort of fancy apartment complex, you pull Celestia's wings out, and start to glide towards it. >You didn't get enough air to glide more than half way there, so as you approach the ground you swing Celestia out from under you, and make her piggyback you. >Touching down, you sprint at top speed in a straight line towards the complex. >You slide under, hop over, sidestep and plow through all the ponies in your way. >They can't catch you, you're going too fast. >Seeing an opportunity, you jump at a wall in an alleyway. >Then, you kick off and flip, facing another wall. >And again, and again. >Performing a three point landing on one of the roofs, you don't stop moving. >You charge straight towards your goal, and spring off the building. >Swinging Celestia off your back again, you deploy her wings, and glide the rest of the way to the apartment complex. >Straight into a top storey window. >You pull the air brakes as soon as you clear the window. >That's the left ear, in case you were wondering. >At any rate, Celestia completely stops in mid air inside one of the apartments. >You calmly dismount, and tug Celestia's ear again. >She falls to the floor, and you pick her up and put her into piggyback position again. >You sweep up the shards of glass off the floor, and toss them out the window. >It's time to fix an apartment complex. >You burst out the door into the corridor. >There's a staircase at one end, and you sprint towards it. >You leap into the staircase, and bounce off the wall. >From there it's easy sailing to the bottom floor, hitting every step on the way. >You make sure Celestia doesn't get hit. She wouldn't like that. >Once you get there, you flip into a standing position. >The pony at the front desk is kind of freaking out. "By order of the king, I'm renovating this place!" >Now, what does this place really need? >Hmmm. >That staircase has to go, it's far too unsafe. >You go up to the second floor, and tear the exit from the staircase off. >Then, you slot it in place downstairs. >There! Now, instead of having a dangeous staircase there, it just leads into the second floor! >But there's more floors than that. >You exit the building, and climb up the air to the third floor, and open a window. >You climb in and enter the corridor, then head to the staircase. >Tear the exit off, stop being in the staircase >And start being at the end of the second floor. >You slot the exit in at the end of the corridor. >Now the corridor is twice as long, and goes through both the second and third floors. >Beautiful. >You do the same thing for the rest of the floors. >This takes a few minutes. >The only problem now is that it's kind of hard to get to the top floor from the start. >You go to the end of the corridor, and trace a door on it with your fingertip. >Then, you tear the other side your new door off. >Lunging back to the start, you slap your side of the door on a wall. >Now the corridor is a massive loop. >If you go too far one way, you end up where you started. >That's enough for now. You'll make all the rooms beach front property later. >You exit the building, and start climbing it. >Once you get to the top, you take Celestia off your shoulders, and get ready to deploy wings. >Take a run up, leap off and flick out Celestia's wings. >You glide over Canterlot. >It's still lit by the orbs of sunlight you made, and the sun is going down. >It looks nice, but it's too plain for a city of magic atop a floating island. >Being king, you're sure you can fix that. >But, that comes later. You've done enough work for today. >You glide your Celestia all the way back to the castle, and land without a hitch. >You dismount, and walk into the castle like you own the place. >Because you do. >The guards seem to notice this, and don't bother you. >You mindlessly amble through the castle, Celestia following you, until you decide that owning a building doesn't necessarily mean that you know where everything in it is. "Do you have a room or something I could sleep in?" >"I was hoping you'd ask that sometime." >She smiles, and leads you to a room on pretty much the opposite side of the castle. >It's very close to Celestia's room, and Luna's too, for that matter. >She swings the door open, and you take in the view. >Opulent is a decent descriptor for it. >And there's a bed! >You leap onto it, and start walking in circles on it before flopping down to sleep. >Just before you fall asleep, you hear Celestia speak. >"There's just one thing..." "Yes? What?" >"Twilight put in her letters that you had an unhealthy obsession with telekinesis." "Pfft. Yeah, right. What does Twilight know?" >And you go straight to sleep.
