>Be anon, of course >At home, getting ready for bed in your PJs >As you lay your head down, you think you hear children crying in the distance >You feel the bed start to shake as the world fades out. >Finding yourself on your back, a forest fades into  existence all around you >Raindrops drip onto your face and you feel water soak onto your back >Hopping up, you look at the surrounding darkness before marching off in one direction >A couple steps later and you nearly trip over a pair of small crying masses >They stop crying to look up at you with large fearful eyes, one was white with a strawberry pink mane and the other was blue with a lighter blue mane >They'd probably be adorable if it weren't for where you found them >The three of you look toward a loud growl in the darkness nearby before you looked back down at them >Another growl and it sounded like it was coming closer >You quickly bend down, scooping up the pair of them into your arms and taking off away from the the sound >Their shivering along with your pounding heart pushed you on, barreling through the forest in your bare feet and soaking wet pajamas >You can see a clearing ahead where the darkness let up slightly as whatever it was chasing you sounded like it was catching up >A tree root catches your foot and sends you hard to the ground while the pair in your arms are sent sprawling out into the clear field >Crawling to them, the crashing of the beast through the foliage could be heard right on top of you >You got to the two terrified baby horses and tried to cover them with yourself >You held the position for a moment before realizing the monster had gone silent >Looking back into the darkness, a pair of glowing yellow eyes stare back at you, seemingly unable to enter the open field >It turned and disappeared, leaving the three of you alone for the time being >"Is it gone?" a small voice asks from beneath you >Catching your breath, you uncover the two reply, "I think so." >"Thank you for helping us,” the blue one says nervously.  "You're not a monster too, are you?" >The strangeness of talking horses finally overcomes your adrenaline and you take a couple steps back from them "Mister?" the blue one cowers behind the white one, who puffs out her chest in a poor intimidation attempt >Putting up your hands; the lack of a canopy above you allowed the rain to fall freely and soak you to the bone "No, I'm no monster,” they visibly relax and you watch them carefully >The white one the unfurled a wing from her side and put it over the other one >You hadn't realized they'd had wings during your frantic race through the woods, and now looking more closely, you see they both sport small nubs on their foreheads poking through their hair "What are you?" you ask them and they look at you strangely >The white one speaks up, "My name is Celestia and this is my sister Luna.  We're ponies.  What are you?" >She was defensive despite you having just saved their asses, "My name is Anonymous.  I'm a human." >You shiver from the cold rain falling on you, "Do you know where we are?" >They shake their heads "We need to get out of the rain," you look around the clearing.  "If we keep walking in a straight line, we should get out of the forest eventually." "What about the monsters?"  Luna whines >You think for a moment before opening your arms to them "I'll keep you s-safe,” your shivering makes you stutter and your teethe chatter when you smile at them >Not the greatest picture of safety, but they crawl back into your hold anyway >Despite all three of you being soaked, their warmth helped you feel like you at least weren't going to freeze to death >As you stood up with them in your arms yet again, you shout out in pain >Celestia asks if you're okay and you  wince as you try to put weight on the foot the root caught >Assuring them you're okay, you limp your way to the side of the clearing opposite from where you entered and back into the forest >You had been walking for an hour, you were cold, wet, exhausted and your foot was killing you >The two in your arms felt as if they were fully grown, threatening to rip your arms from their sockets >At one point early on your trek, you commented how you couldn't see anything and were surprised when the nubs on their heads lit up >Of course they were magic horses with wings >Luna had since passed out, leaving only Celestia's flickering horn lighting your way >You had talked to them for a while, asking if they knew how you got there, or if they knew how you might get back >They didn't have any answers for you and the trip was silent ever since >There had been no change in the scenery >Still dark, still in the forest, still getting pissed on from above >No monsters though >At least none after you; you could still hear different growls and other predatory sounds in the distance >You thought about stopping to take a break or even making them walk with you, but between Luna's sleeping form and the fact you didn't want to lose the warmth you'd built up, you kept going >Celestia's light started to fade but returned as she startled herself awake >It wasn't long before it happened again "You can sleep, I've got you,” you tell her as you feel another rock in the bottom of your bad foot >She opens her mouth to protest but all that comes out is a soft snore >You progress slows considerably now that you're submerged in blackness yet again >Not long after, you finally get a stroke of luck >In front of you, you can make out the outline of a small cottage >You would have run for it if you could feel your feet >Stumbling to the door, you knock on it, jostling the ponies in your arms awake >there was no light coming from inside, so you pounded on the door >Rewarded with a shuffling sound inside, the door peeks open and a red pony appears "These two are cold and wet and could use a place to rest." >He looks from you to Celestia and Luna in your arms and back to you before opening the door wide "Come in, I'll start a fire.” >You thank him and put your shivering load down in front of the fireplace as the older stallion lights it and places a couple logs in >The warmth from the growing fire and roof over your head immediately makes you feel better >The stallion leaves the three of you for a moment and returns with some blankets >He covers the two fillies and gives you yours >You thank him again and notice how heavy it is, reminding you of quilts your grandparents had >The two lumps on the floor next to you finally stopped shivering and Celestia sleepily peeked from her blanket to you "Thank you, Anonymous" >You had already closed your eyes as you replied, "No problem." >The next time you opened your eyes, you were back in your own bed >No sign of the forest, no creatures making noises, no cozy fire and no little horses >Rubbing your face, you swing your legs over the side of your bed and sit up >Pain shoots up through your legs as to set your feet on the floor, and you realize you're still sopping wet >After hobbling to the bathroom, washing up and wrapping your foot, you head to the living room to hang out for the day >Thank Christ for Sundays >While getting ready for bed that night, you decide to wear socks with your pajamas >Just in case >Falling asleep, you listen for the sounds of crying but instead hear the sounds of a struggle >Your room shimmers out of existence while the sunlit interior of an extravagant home replaces it >Looking to the side of the room, you see a blue horse knocked out with her wings splayed out and neck bent back uncomfortably >Scattered around her were twenty something feathered masses with talons and paws for legs >To the other side, a white horse was pinned down by a black feathery mass >You could guess who the horses were as the gryphon reared up on its hind pawed legs and stomped it talons down for Celestia's head, laughing
