>Day Light in Dust Valley. >You are Little Light. >The most lovable, kindest, happiest, best moth in all of Dust Valley Central. >And it's time to run off and meet the newest addition to the village: Lamp. >From what Squeak has told you, she just moved from Dust Valley East. >She said Lamp makes lampshades for ponies, like some kind of weird fashion thing, and she wanted to get a shop started up around here. >As you run upstairs from Squeak's basement, she stops you. >"Squeak?" "I'm going to meet Lamp." >"Squeak!" "I'll be careful! It's not like we have anything to worry about." >"Squeak." "I meant the dragons. You know Virgo and the rest of the hunters are keeping us safe from anything that breaks past them. >Squeak just grumbles as you leave the house. >She's too worried about you. >It's not like there's anything to actually worry about. >No one in Dust Valley does anything bad. >Everyone is nice to one another, and they all work in harmony. >As you trot through the village, you wave to every moth you pass. >All of them. >Especially Butterscotch. >She's the nicest. >Not Hexferry though. >She's mean. >Everytime you wave at her, she blushes and calls you something like "baklava." >It's weird. >"Hey, kid! Where're you going?" >You stop in your tracks. "To meet Lamp!" >Virgo trots up to you and laughs casually. >"Ah, she's nothin' special. Cute as a button, but not my type, surprisingly." "I thought everyone was your type." >"Nah, my type's more Hexferry, or Goldie, or Caramel." "Or Squeak?" >"Or Squeak." >The corners of your mouth turn up into a smile. >Virgo stops acting cool and glares at you. >"No. You stop that. Both of you stop that." "But she really likes you!" >"I don't do the whole 'crushing stallions' heads like watermelons' thing she's so into." "She just does that to show off for you!" >He shoots you another dirty look before walking away.   >Continuing on your way, you arrive at the Dust Bin. >Squeak doesn't normally let you hang out in there, but today is different. >Lamp is there. >You barge through the front door with a large smile on your face. >As everyone turns to look at you, you immediately start looking for Lamp. >She is not hard to find. >After all, she is the only moth in the bin that is glowing. >Literally glowing. >She turns to look at you and pulls a string that hangs from her lampshade hat. >The light turns off. >She hops off of her barstool and approaches you. >The two of you stand in the middle of the open floor. >Without a word, she looks you over, tilts her head, and sucks her teeth. >She sits on her haunches and reaches up to take her lampshade off. >She places it on your head and pulls the string. >You light up. >"Perfect." "I think it's perfect too! My name's Little Light, I'm so excited to meet you, and -" >She places a hoof over your mouth. >"Lamp. Shh." >She smiles. >You smile. >It was love at first light.
