>You sat on Twilight's balcony in meditation. >Hands on your knees, you sat on the floor cross-legged. >Staring into the void of your eyelids, you focus on your energy. >Never needing moments to yourself, this was very unfamiliar to you. >Always bursting with excess energy, you surrounded yourself with friendly ponies every day, helping any way you can. >But this latest experiment has left you feeling like a mere mortal. >Your heart was beating and your body was stable, but you struggled to cast simple spells. >The last time you needed to recharge was your arrival here. >Since then, you spent your abilities in bursts, recovering between displays of miracles. >Taking deep breaths, you feel the world's magic flow back into your veins. >Slowly, but surely. >A strong gust of wind breaks your concentration as you open an eye. >The familiar cyan coat of a rainbow pegasus stands before you. “Can I help you?” >She scowls at you as she closes the distance. >Your head comes up to the height of her knees as you remain seated. >”We've got to talk, you've been helping out Twilight, haven't you?” >Suspicion bled from her words. >Opening both eyes, you stare at her in annoyance. “Yes, she asked me to help her with an experiment, is that suddenly a crime?” >This mare was fine with you, but when something irks her, she sets lasers to kill. >”When she's matching my flight speeds overnight, yes it is.” “Really now...” >Seeing that you're not meditating anytime soon, you rise to your feet. >Meeting Rainbow's eyes with yours, you soften the look on your face. “So what makes you think I'm involved with that?” >She rolls her eyes at you. >”I have eyes on the town at all times and you weren't out running with Twilight yesterday.” >You slap your forehead in frustration at her observation. “Her chasing me isn't intended to be normal, you know.” >”Coulda fooled me!  Just yesterday she started pulling tricks and speeds that... that I could easily do on a good day!” >She's obviously jealous of Twilight's spike in flight ability. “So... why are you telling me this?” >Scoffing at your comment, she walks even closer to you as her muzzle almost touches your nose. >”You're going to tell me what you did to Twilight, then do it to me!” >You back up, raising your hands in defense. “Woah.  No way.  You should ask Twilight about this first since I'm sure she'll be glad to brief you.” >She squints her eyes, gauging your body language. >”Fine, but I'll be back.” >Pushing off the balcony, you feel the floor tilt as Rainbow Dash lifts off into the air. >With another gust of wind, the rainbow streak disappears in seconds. “Ugh... what have I gotten myself into...” >Pinching the bridge of your nose, you open the door to the tree house. >Twilight was over at Fluttershy's today, so you had the house to yourself. >You weren't feeling particularly mischievous today, so you left Twilight's possessions unmolested for now. >Scampering down the stairs, you shove open the front door before promptly closing it as you exit the tree. >Quickly looking over yourself, everything appears to be in place. >Clothes, book and a drop of power. >Not much, but it should tide you over for the day. >You usually fed off of your own energy if you were too lazy to bother with food. >Perks of being a magic-infused being. >Looking off in the distance, you see the setting sun. >Not five minutes into your walk from the tree, a cultured voice calls out from behind you. >”Anon dear, how are you today?” >You turn to quickly bow your head to the cultured unicorn. “A bit tired, but nothing a good rest cannot cure... and yourself Rarity?” >She giggles at your mannerisms. >”I'm positively fine darling, thank you for asking.” >Remembering Twilight's words from last night, your right eye twitches a bit. >Hopefully she doesn't ask about the experiment. >Conversation went as per normal. >You asked her about her current workload and if everything is okay. >She mentions that she's swamped this week, so she decided to take the night off to clear her mind. >”So Anon... about Twlight's experiment.” >So much for avoiding that topic. “Yes, she told me that you were... next.” >Rarity blushes a bit at your pause. >”Well, do you mind walking a lady to her home?  We can talk about it.” “S-sure.” >While you didn't want to say no to Rarity, you had to at least tell her how unexpectedly intimate it was. >Twiddling your thumbs as you walk next to her, she takes lead in the conversation. >”So... how was it from your end?  I've never seen Twilight quite so happy to be frank.” >Your eyes dart back and forth between her and the night sky. “Well... uhh... it was fine.  Twilight drained a lot of energy from me, so I need to rest for at least a day before I can do that again, but I'm not against it.” >She looks down at the ground as her smile goes flat. >Seems like that wasn't the answer she was looking for. >”I see, well, if I were to offer you a place to stay for the night, would you be ready and willing the following morning?” >You stammer up a response. “O-of course!  I-it's just...” >”Yes?” >Her eyes appear to judge your next words, ready for your rejection. >Your head hangs low as you sigh deeply to clear your mind. “I need to warn you about something though, something we found out near the end...” >Her downtrodden look transforms to one of curiosity. >”What do you mean?” >Stopping in front of the boutique, you look to Rarity with the straightest face you can muster. “We... found that it was a very pleasurable experience for both of us.” >”Well that should not be a prob-” “Sexually.” >”Oh.” >Her pupils shrank as she bit her lower lip. >A manicured hoof plays with the grass below her as the deep blue eyes search the ground for an answer. >You back up slowly to take your leave. “Look, I understand if you don't want to try this anymore, I'll just go back to the library now...” >As you turn away, a snowy hoof hooks around your shoulder as Rarity's voice takes a raspy quality. >”Wait!” >She clears her voice as you spin yourself around. >”I'm... willing to try this out.  After all, I did reserve your time, so it would be rude to cancel so abruptly.” >A glow of her horn swings the doors to her home open. >”Now... shall we retire for the day?” >Nodding as the sky is illuminated by Luna's stars, you motion Rarity into her home. “Lady's first, of course.” >With a giggle, she enters her home with a wiggle of her hips. >”Always the gentlecolt.” >You follow her in as you close the door behind you. >The Carousel Boutique was as colorful as ever. >Pony mannequins lined a wall in fashionable clothing. >While you didn't specialize in fashion, you respected Rarity's eye for color. >Nothing really clashed, only complimented. >Spotting the comfy couch in the corner, you lumber over to it. “Well, good night Rarity, see you in the morning.” >Before you can eagerly hop onto the sofa, an invisible force tugs at your collar. >Her voice scolds your actions. >”Where do you think you're going?” “Umm... bed?” >You turn your head to see a displeased Rarity. >”Well, if we'll be spending a lot of... intimate time with each other, I do believe you should at least sleep in my quarters tonight.” >You gulp audibly as you feel a bead of sweat roll down your face. >While you liked being around Rarity, you always felt as if she was easy to offend. >Many of your mannerisms stemmed from the little experiences you  remembered from civilized culture. >Even then, it was mostly human culture, not pony. >”Besides, after what happened last time you were on my sofa, I think you would be safer in my hooves.” >Remembering that day, you shudder to yourself. “I'm pretty sure that's the last time the Cutie Mark Crusaders will attempt human hunting.” >Especially since you broke their giant hairdryer. >Who even sells that anyway? >How was that even supposed to capture you? >Lost in thought and worry, you do not feel Rarity drag your body up the stairs. >Shaking the absurdity of the fillies from your mind, you feel your feet hit each step as the unicorn hauls you to the second floor. “Wha- huh?” >”It's rude to keep a lady waiting Anonymous, I would like to retire early tonight so that I may work with a fresh mind tomorrow.” >You've never seen Rarity this impatient before, but it certainly is a nice change of pace. “Of course... sorry, I was just shaking a few bad memories from my head.” >She gives you a sly smile as she opens the door to her bedroom. >”Apology accepted, as long as you strip down to your undergarments before we bed.” >Taken aback by her forwardness, you hesitate before obeying her. >Spotting a stray chair in the room, you hang your shirt and slacks over it. >You put your book on the seat of the chair, as it was presently chained to your pants. >Turning towards Rarity's bed, you see the mare enter the covers as she pats the empty side of her bed. >”Coming dear?” >Briskly walking to her side, she lifts the sheets with a glow as you slide next to her. >As you lay your head on the pillow, she quickly takes you in both hooves. >She wraps her silky arms around your torso as she presses her plush body against yours. >Her fuzzy cheek rubs against your face as you breathe in a faint vanilla scent. >Your body loosens up as her hind legs scissor your own. >The coziness of these ponies will be the death of you. >”Mm... how long have we worked together, Anonymous?” >Forcing yourself out of this daze, you recall a number. “2... months, why?” >She pulls you in closer as your limbs digs into her marshmallow coat. >”I confess, I've always wanted to do this with you.  You always seem to radiate an air of amiability that I truly enjoy.” >Shivering in excitement, her velvet coat brushes across your skin as she continues to bring you closer. >”You're also the only stallion who truly sees me for who I am, are you not?” >Knowing her luck in males, you choose your words to not offend her. “How about Spike?” >She giggles at your comment. >”It's probably just puppy love Anonymous, you know that.” >Her horn glows as a sleeping mask hovers over the two of you. >She cleanly slips the mask over her eyes as she yawns widely. >”As much as I would love to soak in the moment, sleep calls for us.  Good night Anonymous.” “Good night Rarity, see you in the morning.” >Her slow breath indicates her start into slumber. >You listen to her slow heartbeat, coaxing you into dreamland.
