You watch knowing everything they do is being judged by everypony here, but that's not your concern, your concern is if they can handle the pressure and you know Blue's not flying with them, you don't see her with the Hornets.
 
1000 Hrs. Morgan's current location
"So Luna, you think the Wonderbolts even stand a chance against any of these ponies?"
"They do not. It is not often I see things not as my sister predicts. She thinks they can fly with you, I've seen what you and your dad are capable. I do not condone them flying with you."
"But Celestia sent them here anyways? That's kind of a buzzkill." Morgan said as the two of them watched the next group, a huge formation of helicopters, all of the Mil family, including ponies Morgan has not seen before.
"Oh, Heliponies."
"Well, they are very interesting."
"Design wise or personality wise?"
"Both." Luna said as her only experience was with the pony leading, Ludmila, even though she's a middle child, she sure can take command.
"Ha, guess so. I guess I more see them as ponies, like you see all them little ponies."
"Well, you and I can at least agree on things."
"True."
"So what do you think your father is up to?"
"Well, I haven't seen anypony crash, and I'd really prefer to not spy on him, so probably still sitting on the roof of the shop watching the show." Morgan said as the two of them watched the skies above dance with ponies.
"It's all so skilled, it's like they're on a tight rope that could snap at any second."
"What you see as a tight rope, we see as our road, wide and stable."
"But that must be some stressful flying. The Wonderbolts do not like that style of formation work. They say it wrecks their nerves."
"Well, when you can't see all around you like we can. Well, we can't see see what's all around, but we've got radars that tell us how far apart we are. Unless you're Falken, then you can really see all around." Morgan said with a smile on her face.
"Well, your brother is an interesting pony in himself. Holographic eyes as you dad calls them, those cameras, he's definitely related to you by how he looks, you both are forward swept, narrow and thin body."
"Yea, Falken and his eyes. Those are all the comments the poor guy ever gets."
"I'm sorry shall I go and apologize to him?"
"No, he hears those so frequently. They don't bother him anymore." Morgan said a bit distantly as she talked about her brother.
"So you think the Wonderbolts have a chance?"
"No, they don't even know what they got themselves into. Oh, Raptor and Nora are getting ready to go and fly."
"More of your friends?"
"Nora is, Raptor can be kind of an egotistical bitch. Thankfully Nora's managed to calm her down a little."
"Well, it is good that she has a friend like that."
"Yea, those two are pretty special." Morgan said as she giggled slightly at the comments.
 
1045 Hrs. VTOL Hangar.
"Sasha, you need anything before I have to go and fly with Sergei as the only two VTOL jets here on the base?"
"Nyet, all good. If you just bring more cider."
"Sasha, you and I basically bought half of Applejack's supply. Save some for later, you can't keep drinking it all so quickly."
"Da, hold thought need bathroom." Sasha said as she rushed off to the restroom as a result of drinking too much liquid. Lightning just shook his head, that was proof of his point. She was drinking too much fluids and should probably stop before she lives in the bathroom, but then again, being hydrated isn't bad.
"Ok, I see point. Cut back on fluids little da?"
"Da."
"Why you say Da? You normal say yes or yea."
"I dunno, thought I'd try learning what you say when I don't understand it." Lightning said.
"Oh, makings of sense. I be here when you get back, don't break self Da?"
"Yea. Don't do nothin stupid so our kid grows up without a daddy." Lightning said getting a smile from Sasha before he walked out the door and went to track down Sergei
Reasonably there's two places Sergei would be right now, either watching Ludmila, or going to the staging area where he and Lightning are supposed to start from, which for them was on the ground.
"Lightning where has you been?"
"Looking for you smartass. You ready to go or what?"
"Da to start point." Sergei said as the two of them walked to the start point as the Helipones were landing on the other side of them.
"Good luck boys."
"Da, see you when landings."
"Be careful." Ludmila said as the two VTOL jets went up into the air after reaching the starting points.
"Vertical flight, never gets old Da?"
"Yea, it's always different."
"Da, so let's go." Sergei said as the put on a show, primarily showcasing their ability to fly vertically, hover and be a fighter aircraft.
You still managed to watch everything from the roof, the acts so far have been pretty tame, nothing too shocking or difficult. Which is great for you, as you don't need to worry about anything bad happening. With Sergei and Lightning having a short show due to a missing member due to being pregnant.
Then went the few Kamov helipones that were there. Small group, three or four ponies. You recognized two, Helix and Hokum. A little bit of formation flying, and Hokum doing a backflip. The backflip nearly gave you a heart attack from the altitude he did it at, but the dumb shit completed it. You'd yell at him later if he came into the shop.
 
1130 Hrs. End point of show.
"Lightning, Sergei, you two did good."
"Da, was nothings. Easy flight. Missing sister though."
"Well, I think Rex try kill you if you make her fly."
"Da, is best she stay home. Right Lightning? Lightning?" Sergei asked as he looked for Lightning as he then disappeared, most likely back to Sasha.
"Heh, look like he go back to Sasha already."
"He is good Husband to her no?"
"He already better than I could hope be for my sister. She find good Stallion. Just needed a little work." Sergei said as a smile creeped across his formerly grumpy face
"You happy for her?"
"Yes, he's much better to Sasha than I could ever be. He cares so much about her. I'll help him raise their child to the best of what I can."
"Sergei you'll be a great uncle to the kid when it's here."
"And you'd make a great aunt Luysa"
"Sergei? Are you askings?"
"After sun and fun Luysa, then I make it official" Sergei said as the two of them walked off to go back home.
 
1200 Hrs. VTOL Hangar.
Sasha and Lightning are cuddling on the couch when Sergei and Ludmila come in.
"See, I tell you he with Sasha."
"Da, but I thought she still irritated from condition?"
"Da, condition take effect now and again, seems gotten better."
"Da, but look at two of them, cuddling." Ludmila said as she stared at the two of them.
"What you want Ludmila?"
"Nothings two of you looks cute together."
"Da, we know." Sasha said glaring a little at Ludmila.
"Is not my fault."
"I know, but I use condition to have a bit of fun now and again." Sasha said with a smile as Lightning was taking a nap on her.
"You two do something fun. Sergei go drink. Ludmila, go yell at brother for being punk asshole." Sasha said as the two of them nodded and then departed leaving Sasha alone with Lightning.
"My little Lightning, you going to be great father, I know it. I love you." Sasha whispered in Lightning's ear before nuzzling him. And she continued to nuzzle him before falling asleep herself.
 
1215 Hrs. Your shop.
Morgan, Falken, Luna and Twilight are in your shop talking about various things, as both of your children have a princess as their best friend, though Falken is banned from spending the night at Twilight's and Twilight's banned from spending the night at your place for obvious reasons. Morgan and Luna? Well you figure they're both female, and you would have known if Morgan swings the other way by now.
"Twilight, it would appear that you and Falken are close friends."
"Well, we do like a lot of the same things. Particularly in what we read." Twilight said
"Do tell Twilight, I wish to hear what the two of you like to read."
"Well, we both love the Daring Do series."
"Really? How many times have the two of you read them?" Luna asked.
"I've read them at least ten times."
"In the time I've had those books, I've read them three times consecutively. And I had the books for about a month." Falken said unintentionally one upping Twilight.
"I could do that too Falken, I just don't have as much time as I used to. Princessly duties and my friends take up a lot of that time I used to have just for reading."
"I was merely stating that I had read them three times in order before you took the books back. I do not see what you are trying to say."
"What I'm trying to say?"
"Oh right, I uh forgot you tend to say things pretty matter of fact like."
"Yes, I find it pointless or needless to embellish the truth, if I were trying to embellish the truth I would have said quantum physics books, and that I have a full and complete understanding of quantum theory, which I do not." Falken said.
"Well, you do things in a very neat and tidy order Falken, except when you eat."
"Morgan, I thought you'd never tell anyone!"
"Relax Falken, it's just our friends, Luna won't tell anyone, I'm sure Twilight won't." Morgan said the light smile still having not left her face.
"Well, Morgan, since you shared your brother's embarrassing secret with us both, I think it's only fair that you share something about yourself."
"Luna, I don't think daddy's going to allow that."
"But you let me know."
"Because you needed to, and I wanted you to know that about me. She needs neither." Morgan said worry filling her voice and that being your cue to come in and embarrass her.
"Luna, have you noticed that you wake up with marks from Morgan in the morning?"
"No I have yet to notice that."
"Well, she cuddles you like a teddy bear when you sleep over."
"DAAAD!" Morgan said interrupting the conversation you were having with Luna.
"Well, it was your turn to be embarrassed, and it saves me from explaining something that is NOT embarrassing."
"Really Morgan, you cuddle Princess Luna like a teddy bear?" Falken asked breaking from his normal monotone and smiling.
"Well, I uh, okay, sometimes I do cuddle Luna when she's over here. I can't help it she's so soft."
"Morgan, that's kinda cute, why do you think that's embarrassing."
"If it's cute then why are you laughing?" Morgan asked as Luna was also hiding her giggles.
"It's just a funny picture, you cuddling such a small pony. It's a little funny you've got to admit." Falken said as he was laughing a little.
Though you yourself have something even more embarrassing you could have said, and you probably would have pulled a two for one, so it's best to save that one until you really need it.
"Morgan, I could have said something much worse."
"Like what?"
"You're going to have to link to hear it, I'm not going to say it aloud." You say as she nods and then you give her the reminder. "I've caught you cuddling a bunch of pillows, as if they were Luna. Though I know you don't like her in that way I don't want to give anypony that impression." You tell her as Morgan's face goes bright red, and she smiles slightly.
"Thanks for not saying that dad." Morgan said as she looked away as you laugh and shake your head.
"Alright Dad, you share something embarrassing."
"Morgan I don't think that I should."
"Come on dad." Morgan said as she pleaded with you.
"Yea come on Rex, share something embarrassing."
"I've got more awkward moments than embarrassing."
"Just one."
"Fine. Just one, now give me a while to think." You say after being prodded by your daughter and the Princesses. You think for a good while, and nothing interesting pops into your head, though Morgan could effectively mind rape you for a rather embarrassing one if you didn't deliver. Then it hits you, it wasn't super embarrassing, but embarrassing none the less.
"Well, there was this one time in highschool, during a track and field meet, when I was going to race, I uhh, I..." You say as you now find this more funny than embarrassing. "I uh, thought it'd be a good idea to hold going to the bathroom until after I finished my race. Turns out that was a shit idea. I uh shit myself on lap two of four. I reached the line and then it just let loose, I went straight to the locker room after that happened." You say getting Falken to completely lose it, and both Princesses to be utterly disgusted.
"Um, needless to say that happened only once. Learned my lesson the hard way that day, boy for the rest of the time there I did not hear the end of it during Track season. Eventually I learned to laugh it off, but that stung." You say
"That's utterly disgusting, but embarrassing none the less."
"Dad, couldn't you have shared a less disgusting moment?" Morgan asked as it was clear she was a little shocked by your choice.
"No, least you won't go prodding."
"Right, and if I were to"
"I'll say it first." You say cutting her off and reminding her of her biggest embarrassing secret. Again her face goes red, not wanting you to say anything. "That's what I thought." You tell her without opening your mouth.
"I think that's enough embarrassing stuff for today yea?"
"Definitely."
"Good, so I'm going to be wandering around." You say as you get back to monitoring the shop, just before you decide to take a walk around Sun 'n Fun.
 
1300 Hrs Edge of Space.
With many ponies out enjoying the show in the skies above, the bar's not too crowded and this lets Osprey and Erwin have some time to themselves in the bar.
"Well, this is kind of nice, you and I here having a meal together, that neither one of us attempted to botch."
"So you were sabotaging my cooking."
"Only a little."
"Osprey, I said tell me if you're uncomfortable with what I'm making." Erwin said as he put a hoof to his forehead.
"I'm sorry Erwin, it's just I'm not always the best at telling others what's on my mind."
"Really? Well, that would explain some of the awkwardness I'm picking up."
"Yea, the only two I can really talk to are Rex and KC, well KC to a point. I'm trying really hard to talk to you Erwin." Osprey said as she reached a hoof across the table to place on Erwin's.
"Well, at least you're trying right Osprey?"
"Yea, I'm trying. Sometimes not very hard, but I'm really trying to open up to you Erwin." Osprey said as KC came up to their table.
"So what can Ah get fer tha two of ya?"
"Two of my usual lunches."
"Alright, tha soup's gonna be a bit fuel heavy, ah'm startin to run short on supplies."
"That'll be alright KC."
"Ah'll have it out in a few minutes." KC said as he disappeared off into the kitchen.
"Sometimes you surprise me with how friendly you can be to certain ponies Osprey."
"Well, I didn't used to be so friendly, I used to be pretty shy, and sometimes I still am."
"Well, I've had some difficulties myself, those Jump jets don't consider me one of them, and the helipones don't even want to associate with me."
"Yea, having wingtip engines makes us pretty different. Though it's not always a bad thing, being different."
"Sounds like you've dealt better than I have." Erwin said making Osprey blush a little.
"Well, I've had a lot of help from Rex, and even he wasn't exempt from being an outcast like I was. Thanks to him, I'm not a hangar case. He set me up with the small transport job I have, and he's a really good friend, so is his wife." Osprey said when KC brought out their lunch.
"Y'all talkin about Rex?"
"And Thunderbolt, you remember I was a bridesmaid?"
"Yea, Ah remember, ya lucky ya got such good friends Osprey."
"Yea, I really do have some great friends here don't I KC?"
"Ya sure do. Ah'll leave tha two of ya alone now." KC said as he went back to attend to a few ponies that just arrived to the bar.
