Thunderbolt can't take her eyes off of you, as she is enthralled by the black and white tuxedo you're wearing. Everything goes well, both you and Thunderbolt zone out a little, so much so when the most important parts come you both have to be nudged into remembering what you are doing. That gets a little laugh out of the crowd, and a wash of embarrassment out of you and Thunderbolt, bringing you both back to reality. You cough lightly in embarrassment as you both fail to notice how far the ceremony has progressed.
"Umm, what point are we at?" You ask again covering the mic.
"You may kiss the bride."
"Oh, really?" You say to which you're tapped by Falken.
"Right." You say as Thunderbolt lifts her veil and the two of you kiss, however awkward and disproportional it is, you to somehow manage to without it looking like a train wreck.
"To the reception!" You yell as Thunderbolt lets you climb onto her back not before running down the aisle to get to where the reception was being held, the other side of the runway.
 
The reception is one big party with for once the Russians being sober and the NATO aircraft being completely hammered. Now that was amusing. There were a few sober NATO ponies, and Ivan was of course blackout drunk, Strizh and Blue took advantage of this time to be in public together, and the reception went well, many ponies leaving their gifts for you and Thunderbolt before they stumbled home to their hangars plastered as all hell.
As everyone is slowly leaving you're staring at the pile of gifts wondering how the hell you're going to get them home and if you even have enough space for them all in your home.
"How the hell are we going to get all of these home?" You ask as Thunderbolt comes up beside you to see what you were doing.
"I'll rope Galactus or Mriya into bringing them over." Thunderbolt said.
"Good idea. So where do you want to go? I've got the next week or so off, I can leave Brezhnev and Echo in charge." You say
"Well, I would like to go back to the Crystal Empire again. Such a pretty place, you didn't get to see it though." Thunderbolt said as she nuzzled you a little.
"That's perfectly doable, I'll call a favor from Celestia, she owes me for watching that purple problem of hers. See if she can't get us a halfway decent place." You say as the three ponies are still the only ones around at about 2000 Hrs. Both Morgan and Falken went home to sleep, after exhausted from the reception and the ceremony itself.
"Hey Sunbutt! Could ya come here for a second?" You yell out as Celestia frowns at you slightly, but she walks over to you to find out what you wanted.
"What did you want Rex?" Celestia asked rather annoyed that you called her Sunbut in front of Twilight and Luna.
"Well, I just have a small favor to ask, in return for watching that purple problem of yours for a week, do you think you could get Thunderbolt and I a halfway decent place in Crystal City?" You say in a very nice way.
"Why can't you get one yourself?" Celestia asked.
"Need I remind you, we stopped the SOLG from destroying Canterlot." You say giving her a nudge to do what you wanted.
"Didn't you say seven others helped you?" Celestia asked.
"Yes, they did, and since I had to put up with her trying to make everything remarkably clean, I think I'm owed a small favor for watching her." You say as you're trying to negotiate this without having Thunderbolt get gun exhaust all over her beautiful white livery.
"How long did you want to stay?" Celestia asked caving in a little.
"Three days, not very long, we do have Morgan and Falken to take care of." Thunderbolt said as Celestia nodded.
"I can arrange three days. What are you going to do with those two?" Celestia asked as Luna came into the conversation.
"Sister, may I stay with Morgan for a few more days?" Luna asked.
"And the solution presents itself. Sometimes things just fall into place." You say as Luna's involvement was very welcome by you and Thunder
"What do you mean Anon?" Luna asked
"Well, Thunder and I were going to take a few days to vacation out in Crystal City, since you'll be here with Morgan and Falken, if you don't mind watching over them for a couple of days." You say as Luna appears to be completely shocked
"Art thou asking me to watch over thy children?" Luna asked to which you nod
"Well, you are Morgan's best friend, and you are responsible enough to keep her out of trouble." You say as Luna gets a little teary
"Nopony has ever asked me to babysit. I shall watch the two of them." Luna said causing Celestia to roll her eyes
"And now the pieces have fallen into place, when did you want to go Thunder?" You say as you look up at her.
"We'll leave tomorrow, that's enough time to arrange our accommodations right Princess?"Thunderbolt said
"It should be enough time. I'll send Princess Cadence a letter right now." Celestia said as she walked off leaving you, Thunder and Luna to walk back to your home
"Thanks for watching the two of them, hopefully they don't give you too much trouble Luna." you say as the three of you walk home.
"They shant be much trouble. I can handle them." Luna said as she was still very happy to have been picked to babysit
"Well, if Morgan starts wondering where I am, tell her to call me instead of tracking me down, but do not hesitate to call me if there's an emergency with the two of them." You say as you're giving Luna hints
"I shall keep that in mind. Thunderbolt, do you have anything helpful to add?" Luna asked.
"Yes, don't stare at Falken in the mornings, his eyes aren't always turned on. It bothers him when ponies stare at him." Thunderbolt said to which Luna nodded
"Yes, I know how it feels to be on the outside. Perhaps I can help him." Luna said, to which you smile.
"Just be careful Luna, Morgan may have to go and get her laser from my shop, Falken's is internal, and I'd do my best to not piss him off." You say as you walk into your home to find them asleep on the couches
"I shall keep that in mind." Luna said as she climbed up onto the couch near Morgan and went to sleep leaving you and Thunder to go to your room.
"Anon, can you help me get the bows off my turbines?" Thunder asked.
"Of course dear." You say as you climb up onto the bed to start untying the bows.
"So what'd you think of the livery?" Thunderbolt asked.
"It was amazing Thunder, you are so beautiful, the livery made Celestia a little bit jealous." You say as she laughs a little.
"I wish I could have seen her face, it would have been priceless." Thunderbolt said as you had untied the ribbons.
"I only got a glimpse at her, she seemed to be containing it rather well." You say getting another laugh out of Thunderbolt.
"Oh, I did manage to get something else while I was out, you know the white is temporary right?" Thunderbolt said.
"Yea I know, a lot of the ponies around here painted themselves in a temporary flashy coat." You say as you jump from her back to the bed.
"Oh, Anon, could you also get the garter off my leg?" Thunderbolt asked as you very carelessly threw your jacket and shirt towards your closet.
"Sure." You say as Thunderbolt stands above you on the bed to which you jump up and manage to drag the garter down, and then you get the subtle hint she was after.
 
 
0800 Hrs. Home
You wake up sore and covered in fuel and hydraulic fluid again, Thunderbolt's still asleep from enjoying the night and you're just sore and need to get the smell of Thunderbolt off of you before Morgan or Falken question it. Which you somehow barely manage to do before everyone in the front of the house wakes up.
When you walk out to make breakfast, you're still slightly sore, but you manage to mask it.
"Morning daddy." Morgan said as she woke up at the sound of the fridge being opened.
"Morning sweetie." You say as you continue to make breakfast.
"Eh, who's cooking" Falken asked with one holographic eye appearing rather blurry
"I'm cooking, buddy." You say as he gets up and goes to sit at his place at the table, holographic eyes nonexistent at this point. You catch Luna starting for a moment to which you drop a pan to get her attention, and you very subtly shake your head, as Falken was focused on something else so He did not see.
"What?" Luna asked as you walked past her.
"Don't stare. Eyes don't function well in the morning." You whisper as you point to your eyes.
"Right." Luna said as Thunderbolt came out, having washed the temporary paint off.
"Ready to go honey?" Thunderbolt said to which you nod.
"Care to eat first?" You say as you motion to the table.
"Of course." Thunderbolt said as she went and ate allowing you some time to relax before you head up and out to the Crystal Empire.
You and Thunderbolt sit through breakfast before saying bye temporarily to your family, you remind Morgan to call you instead of hunting you down like she did last time. With that all being said, you and Thunderbolt fly for the next four hours out to the Crystal Empire. To you the flying is low and slow, but that's Thunderbolt's strong suit, and she's always got that 30mm of hers loaded, just in case. The two of you fly in formation, with Thunderbolt occasionally looking back at you while you focus on flying, and not colliding into her, and well before you knew it, you were over the border and in the Crystal Empire's airspace.
No plane ponies greeted you as you entered, they had already been alerted to you flying in, and you had your free pass, otherwise, the game would have been protect Thunderbolt.
 
The two of you land on the main road leading through the Crystal city, Cadence was expecting the two of you. Thunderbolt lands first, then you, that pattern is very well established due to you wanting to be able to react in an emergency.
"Rex, Thunderbolt!" Cadence said as you were shutting down the ADFX.
"I hear Rex has arranged for us to stay here through your aunt, right Cadence?" Thunderbolt asked as you're climbing out and going to the dummy burst missiles that contained your luggage, not much, just three days worth of clothes, and enough space for Thunderbolt to bring back trinkets and such.
"Yes she did, in fact, I didn't even know of your wedding, you two must be really lucky for Celestia to have arranged this for you." Cadence said as you look up to Thunderbolt with a look of oh no, I've just been blackmailed.
"What exactly did she arrange Princess?" You ask wondering how badly you were fucked.
"She arranged for the two of you to stay here in the castle with me." Cadence said with an air of excitement which shocks you and nearly makes Thunderbolt pass out.
"Steady Thunder, don't pass out on me yet." You say as she was recovering from the shock.
"We're staying in the castle." Thunderbolt said as you just smile, as you know you've just fulfilled some dream of hers.
"I can't wait to show the two of you around for the next few days." Cadence said making your jaw drop and turned Thunderbolt into a little filly again, jumping around like you've seen Morgan.
"You're showing us around?" Thunderbolt asked as she was prancing in place.
"Yes, Auntie Celestia wanted to leave the two of you alone in the nicest hotel we have, but I took it upon myself to see that you two have a wonderful time here in the Crystal Empire.
"Oh, alright. That's actually rather nice of you Cadence." you say as you're surprised to hear the better than expected accommodations were from Cadence not Celestia.
"Well it's not often a human comes to visit the Crystal Empire, let alone one that's royalty." Cadence said as you weakly smile.
"I don't see it that way, I'm just a guy they put in charge of the territory." You say still being very humble about your whole I own all of Avalon role.
"Well, it's my treat, you obviously must be special if they chose you." Cadence said as you now smile broadly while Thunderbolt's still acting like a filly.
"Well, perhaps you should be showing us to our room. If I'm going to be the only one to act like an adult here." You say as Thunderbolt was blissfully unaware of what you said but followed you and Cadence as she lead you into the castle, up a few flights of very wide stairs and into a large room, with a very good view of most of the city.
"This view is amazing! Thank you Cadence." Thunderbolt said as she stood out on the balcony.
"You're very welcome, I'll let you two settle in and then I'll come back to take you two on a tour." Cadence said as she smiled and walked out of your room.
"We're staying in the castle! Can you believe it Anon?" Thunderbolt said as she tackled you to the bed.
"Heh, I better believe it." You say as the two of you are on the bed.
After about thirty minutes Cadence comes back to take the two of you on a tour. You're happy to hear it's not Celestia's doing, which means the two of you are even and you don't have to worry about being blackmailed into something, Thunderbolt on the other hand is completely enjoying the history and the ponies of this city, of which you only take a passing interest in, you're more here for Thunder than you are for yourself. You figure as long as she's happy you're happy, and you're right. The smiles Thunder has from listening to Cadence make you feel like the luckiest man in the world, and you've heard of some pretty crazy shit happening to humans here. As the three of you walk through the city, now sampling the local fare for lunch, your mind turns to what's going on at home, more importantly if Morgan and Falken are behaving for Luna, so what do you do? You cover an eye and see the world through Morgan's eyes for a few minutes while Cadence asks you if you're alright, Thunderbolt explained what was going on to her.
Morgan and Falken were behaving for the most part. It looked like they were playing a game of hide and seek, or that's at least what Morgan told you as she noticed you prying. You just smile and remind her to behave before leaving.
"The two of you must have a very strong bond if you're capable of using that type of magic." Cadence said as you laugh at the last part, magic, hell that could explain why you could. You never did bother to figure out why you could see through Morgan's eyes when not in the immersion pod.
"Well, I guess that could explain why I can see through her eyes. I never put much thought into that." You say as you're still not going to put a lot of effort into that.
"Well are the two of you enjoying the tour?" Cadence asked.
"Sweetie?" You say using your nickname for Morgan on Thunderbolt.
"Yes, we are. Cadence you have such a beautiful city, all these crystal buildings, it's fascinating." Thunderbolt said making you smile.
"Well, I do hope the two of you have time for more of these little tours around, I've got to get back and do my royal duties. You're both invited to dinner, I do hope the two of you can make it." Cadence said as she went back to the castle.
"We'll try. Come on Anon, there's something I want to show you back in our room, but you're going to need to give me a few minutes to get it ready." Thunderbolt said as the two of you walked back to the castle together.
"Alright, just try not to break me." You say making her laugh.
"I'll try." Thunder said with a giggle causing you to shake your head.
 
Back at the castle, you've let Thunderbolt go up to the room alone, while you hang outside in the courtyard making a few calls back home to Brezhnev and Echo, who are more than happy to be on a group line.
"So everything ok back home you two? You're not stirring up shit or anything I'm going to have to clean up am I?" You say joking with the two of them, it goes over Echo's head, but Brezhnev caught it.
"No, is all good. Sully monitoring Gryphons, they turn old weapons sites into farms, Mulder confirms. Look like Gryphons want nothing to do with us again." Brezhnev said as you nod an unseen nod to them.
"Good, if they even look like they're building weapons again, send in the Lancers and 160s. Make them regret it." You say which gets a "Da." out of Brezhnev.
"Some of our smaller ponies are finding a bit of work as flight instructors, they get paid rather well, a very select few are actually alright with letting earth ponies fly them." Echo said as you were a little surprised to hear this.
"So, some of them are being rental planes, They're going to need maintenance more, relay that to them would you Echo, I don't need them getting hurt." You say as you walk a little mindlessly through the courtyard.
"Yes Rex, I'll tell them. How long can they go?" Echo asked
"Every 100 hrs. I need to inspect them, trust me it's for their own good." You say as you can hear Echo laugh a tiny bit.
"Alright, don't you two cause me any trouble, or I'll rip the radars off your backs." You say giving them a mindless threat that you would never go through with.
"Don't worry, no issues here." Brezhnev said as the call ended and you go up to your room.
When you enter, your brain ceases to function normally upon seeing what Thunderbolt was wearing. Did she spend money on pointless lingerie?
"Wat?" is all you manage to say as though it's absolutely fucking pointless, it's still the most enticing thing you've seen her do yet.
"Like what you see?" Thunderbolt asked to which you can only nod, you're still at a huge loss for words.
 
Avalon's Shadow: Your home, about dinner time.
"Morgan, Falken, what does your father usually make you for dinner?" Luna asked as she stood in the kitchen confused as she stared into the fridge.
"Don't worry about it Luna, I'll just make something for Falken and I, you just worry about yourself." Morgan said as she stepped over Luna and started to grab things from the fridge.
"I did not know you knew how to cook." Luna said.
"Only a little, besides, we're just going to be drinking jet-A, and that'll hold us for the night. We're kinda simple like that." Morgan said with a smile on her face, still being very happy that Luna's here.
"Oh, what about breakfast?" Luna asked
"Just use the batter dad left. The large bowl of it, that one is mixed with fuel." Morgan said explaining their diet to Luna.
"How interesting. Fuel or food." Luna said as Morgan giggled as Falken projected indifference with his eyes.
 
Dinner in Crystal Empire.
You bathed and cleaned yourself up after your escapade with Thunderbolt, before the two of you went to catch dinner with Cadence
"I don't smell of fuel or hydraulic fluid do I?" you ask quietly as Thunderbolt smells your hair and then licks it a little.
"Just a little bit. Mostly fuel." Thunder said
"Eh, I can deal with fuel. Did I miss a spot in my hair?" You ask wondering why she licked you.
"Yes dear." Thunder said
