"Well, that's understandable, but what's she doing right now?" Skye asked as an A-4 made fun of Falken for his odd looks causing Morgan to flip personalities on the A-4, at least the non American made ponies had enough sense to shut their fucking mouths around Morgan.
"And that's her other side. Guess I should go and stop her before she rips through ponies with her 30mm." You say as you walk out to her only to find that she's returned to her normal soft spoken self.
"Morgan you behaving yourself out here?" You ask as you stand beneath Thunderbolt.
"Yes daddy." Morgan said making you smile.
"Good, I may control all of Avalon, but I'll be damned if one of my kids misbehaves." You say getting Morgan to giggle. You both knew there was nothing you could do short of putting yourself in her sights to get her to stop once she commits to a kill.
"She is impressive to say the least. Rex built the two of them?" Raider said as Thunderbolt was slightly pleased by his comment.
"Yes, Rex did build the two of them. Brother and sister. Morgan's the experimental version of Falken, or so he's told me. Though Morgan is definitely the more diverse of the two, carrying burst missiles, a laser and a really odd ECM pod. The same type of ECM you encountered earlier when you shot at him." Thunder said as her dad sheepishly smiled.
"I still don't agree with your choice Thunderbolt." Raider said.
"Suck it up old man. You're going to deal with it." You say announcing your presence close to them.
"Anything to say to him dad?" Thunder said
"Um, no."
"Dad."
"Alright, you win Thunder, I'm sorry for being such an ass." Raider said as Thunder finally managed to get that out of him.
"Sounds more directed towards her than me, but you brought what happened upon yourself." You say as Skye walks out to the group of adults.
"They're so happy together." Skye said which made you smile.
"Yea, they are. Don't think there's a thing that could separate them." You say as you lean against Thunder.
"Well, those two seem soo sweet." Skye said making both you and Thunderbolt smile.
"They are. I think we should be going. Don't you think Anon?" Thunderbolt said to which you nod and walk off to your ADFX.
"Morgan, Falken, we're going home!" You yell as you walk back. Morgan of course runs over and picks you up to carry you to your plane.
 
A few minutes later Thunderbolt's saying her goodbyes to her parents while you sit at the edge of the runway while Morgan and Falken play around you.
"You come back and visit any time Thunder. You know we miss you and your sister." Skye said
"I know mom, try to get dad to behave before the wedding." Thunderbolt said as her mom giggled a little.
"I'll try." Skye said as Thunderbolt joined you on the runway, to which you point down the runway for her cue to take off first, followed by Morgan and Thunderbolt, and finally by you.
"Well, that didn't go exactly the way I wanted it to." Thunderbolt said, to which you roll your eyes as you fly in a diamond formation with the three of them.
"Right, your dad seems a bit stubborn." You say as you fly back to Avalon's Shadow.
"He's pretty old school Anon. He would have preferred if I settled down with a nice A-10 like myself or a Su-25. Except they weren't like you." Thunderbolt said as Falken was flying without projecting his eyes, so you don't know exactly what he's looking at, or if that's just how he prefers to fly.
"Great, now I know where he stands. No offence but he's a dick." You say as you fly.
"I know. Would you be any different with Morgan?" Thunderbolt asked.
"Well, I wouldn't care as long as she's happy. If she's happy then I am, just as long as they don't hurt my little girl." You say
"Well, I guess you do have a different view on everything from us." Thunderbolt said.
"Yea I guess I do." You say as there's nothing but small talk for the rest of the flight back to Avalon's Shadow.
1600 hrs. Avalon's Shadow.
"Home." You say as you shut down your ADFX and walk towards your home.
"Rex, can we talk?" Osprey asked as you walked from your shop towards home.
"Sure, let's go in the shop." You say as you turn around and go into the shop, Thunderbolt sees and already knows what you're doing since Osprey's right behind you. It was another one of those counseling sessions.
"Ok Osprey, what's up?" You say as you shut the shop doors behind you as Osprey does like her privacy.
Osprey just smiles for a little while before even starting to talk, but you know to let her take her time, as it's about the only way to get Osprey to talk when she doesn't want to.
"So when's your big day?" Osprey asked as you're a little shocked.
"What?" you say partially confused as to why she'd ask that.
"When are you getting married to Thunderbolt silly. You know she shows off that ring you made for her. I thought it was her showing off her cannon at first, then I saw the band. So when's the wedding?" Osprey said as you were a little dumbstruck.
"I don't know. I just met her parents today." You say as you're still confused as all hell.
"Ohh, so you wanna tell us, I mean me about it?" Osprey said as you very slowly figured out what she was doing.
"It could have gone better, Osprey, now tell me the truth, did somepony hurt your feelings or are you just here to get information from me?" You say to which Osprey only smiles.
"Trying to dodge the question isn't going to help you." You say as she still just sits there and smiles.
"You're here for information, otherwise you'd be trying to cry those eyes out of your skull." You say as she nods a little.
"So all I'm going to tell you is it could have gone better. Osprey, that's all." You say as you unlock the doors and walk home to have a snack before getting back to work.
All you really had left was to overhaul Galactus' turbines, that's it, then the schedule was open for a while.
"Hey Anon, I'm going into Equestria for a couple of days. There's some things that I can only really get there. Can I have some bits to get those things?" Thunderbolt asked as she stood in the doorway.
"I don't see why not. How much did you need?" You ask and then instantly regret asking.
"Oh, like 8k bits." Thunderbolt said as your face now twitches upon hearing how much money she wanted.
"Eight Thousand?" You ask making sure you heard her correctly.
"Yes, 8000." Thunderbolt said as you look at her in disbelief, what the hell did she need that much money for.
"That's a lot of money sweetie, what are you getting?" You ask to which she just smiles.
"Well, the first one is a surprise you won't see until we get married, and I need to have the invitations printed, sent, and well, need a caterer. Sadly KC can't do everything and we're not eating bar food at our reception." Thunderbolt said as you go over to a very large box.
"Alright, but don't spend it all at one place." You say as you pull out eight bags of 1000 bits each before locking the box back up.
"Why would I do that?" Thunderbolt said as she placed the money inside of her for safe keeping.
"I don't know, just thought I should say that. Be careful, I don't need an international incident cropping up before we get married, oh and what day are we?" You ask
"Today, next week." Thunderbolt said as you look at a calender to see that it was already put there.
"Oh ok. Umm, go get your things, we're running out of time aren't we?" You say as she nods and goes to fly out to Equestria.
"I just hope she stays safe." You say to yourself as you see a couple of her friends, primarily Osprey and an A-4 go with her. At least she wasn't alone.
Of course Galactus didn't show up, he never does unless there is a problem that he's let go for too long. So you're just sitting in your office doing order forms and administrative paperwork. At least this gave you time to catch up on this stuff
You stay in your office until you fall asleep on your desk. It wasn't the first time you've fallen asleep doing parts orders those ponies you order them from are so picky in how they're supposed to be formatted and how a particular part is requested. But they're the only suppliers you know and trust so you suck it up and deal with their bullshit forms which like right now, put you to sleep.
 
0800 Hrs. your office.
"Rex, wake up." a familiar voice said to which you start swatting around making them go away, as you knew it belonged to a pony.
"Away with you." You say as you absent mindedly swat around your desk to keep them from getting close.
"If you're going to be this much of a bother we'll do things my way." she said as you're now levitating half awake above your desk and being carried in a purple ball of magic towards the shuttle complex.
"Twilight what the fuck do you want? I was sleepin." You say as you curl up in this bubble very unhappy of your present situation.
"Buran came back with all my data while you were out yesterday, but you retreated into your shop so quickly I couldn't go over it with you." Twilight said as the two of you got into the mission control area.
"So? It's just data to me. I don't care." You say as you've been set down in a chair.
"But this is data about the burst missiles." Twilight said as you're still uninterested.
"Don't care. I destroyed them and figured out the gryphons got the information from Avalon Dam. A former human research base." you say as you're rather annoyed with her.
"Oh you already knew that?" Twilight said as you nod.
"Yea, knew for some time now. I know what went on in Avalon, and have a pretty good guess what's in there. You're not going in there, and neither am I. We both won't like what we'll find." You say as you're looking at a Avalon Dam Schematic.
"Aren't you interested as to what my satellite is?" Twilight asked
"You stole the design for the SOLG from Avalon." You say
"What?" Twilight said in a bit of a shock.
"You stole the design for the Strategic Orbital Linear Gun, or a rail gun in space. You had it boxed up nice and pretty, but why else would you need Buran to launch it? It's a big military satellite. Now tell me Twilight, why does Equestria need a weapon of such magnitude?" You say as you know far too much about that weapon and what it can do.
"How do you know what it is?" Twilight asked.
"Because I worked for a Grunder Industries before my happy accident that brought me here. So explain to me why you've got a weapon that has the capability to wipe out entire cities with a single shot from orbit?" You ask.
"To counter the Gryphon's burst missiles. But it seems they are no longer a threat, and I can't deorbit the thing without causing some massive damage to it's landing point." Twilight said as you nod.
"Well, it appears you have a problem there sparklebutt. How are ya going to solve it?" You say as you've got a solution to make it highly ineffective, and facing the complete wrong way.
"Well, since I can't bring it down to the planet for proper destruction, the best I can do is push it out of orbit with the planet and hope it enters the sun." Twilight said.
"Sounds like you're going to need a big rocket." You say rather smugly as you know this is going to bring in quite a bit of money for the local businesses.
"Or a few small ones, it wouldn't take much to shift it off it's orbit, just a nudge and it enters a death spin which the torque of will rip it to pieces." Twilight said proposing to break the satellite up into smaller pieces that the atmosphere could then burn up.
"That just might work, or you could use a kinetic kill device. Send another rocket up at it with a large mass and speed to slam into it, and boom, it breaks up into pieces." You say giving an alternative way to sending up another pony to destroy the satellite.
"Your way is easier, but mine guarantees destruction of the SOLG." Twilight said contemplating
"Well whatever you do you might want to check with your princess on what to do with the satellite exactly, I'm guessing your research was to get the damned thing up there and operational, which is why the Gryphons wanted to kidnap you, isn't that right?" You say as you've uncovered the reason behind the silly incursion.
"She doesn't want it up there any more than the gryphons do. So it's got to be destroyed." Twilight said.
"So send up a missile armed with a burst, the explosion should send a big enough shock wave to rip it to shreds." You say giving her an idea although you're way out of your league of understanding.
"That could work. Do you have any of the gryphon's Burst missiles left?" Twilight asked to which you shake your head.
"No, but I have the smaller prototype ones that Morgan and I can fire. They'd be more accurate, and they'd still blow the hell out of it." You say giving an immediate solution.
"Then I shall get it done. I just have to procure a burst missile from you and mount it to the last stage of the rocket to carry it into orbit." Twilight said to which you nod and smile, as you were going to charge her for the missile.
"Right, and those burst missiles, they aren't cheap." You say as she just hands you a bag of money.
"Don't care need SOLG destroyed." Twilight said before going off to have the rocket constructed to carry a burst missile.
"Well, thank you Twilight, I definitely got back what I just lost today." You say as you are very pleased with the weight of the bag, which was not all rocks.
 
1100 Hrs. Back at your shop.
You counted the money Twilight gave you for the burst missile, it was 9000 bits, stacked in rolls of 50. Which made you remember why you fucking hate coins. They're heavy as fuck and not the easiest thing to count. But still, it was money, and a thousand more than you just gave to Thunderbolt, so you guess today's not so bad after all. Despite being woken up by nerd horse to help her with a problem that you didn't want to
As you sit in your office you hear the sound of hooves running towards you, and it's Twilight again.
"Rex, we have a problem." Twilight said with a panic stricken look on her face.
"What problem Twilight, the SOLG is your problem to get rid of." You say.
"Not anymore. I accidentally sent a deorbit command to it and now it's going to crash into Canterlot within the next eight hours. There is nothing I can do to divert it. If I do I'll just end up bringing it down here." Twilight said as you get up and run to Mission control to see it's trajectory for yourself.
"What have you done?" You say as you see that the SOLG will be 18 mi (30Km) up in the skies just before it passes over Hornet. Twilight was right, it's trajectory would take it directly to the center of Canterlot, destroying the castle, and a good amount of it's surroundings.
"Rex how do I stop it?" Twilight asked.
"You don't I do. We've still got four hours until it reaches an engage-able height for my ponies. Gives me enough time to scramble a team and get them into the air, and for myself to get up there too." You say as you now run to the control tower. When you get there you grab the radio and call up Hornet's tower.
"Hornet, this is Avalon, we've got a problem I need the best high altitude fighters you've got. They need to get 18 miles up into the sky in four hours. Are there some ponies that can do that?" You say
"We've got a specialty squadron, four F-14 ponies, Blaze, Edge, Archer and Snow, along with three MiG-31Ds. Leonid, Gagarin, and Korolev. We'll have them up what are they engaging?" Hornet tower asked.
"A SOLG. A huge radar blip that should show up in about 4 hrs. I'll be there myself to make sure it gets done." You say as you now run off to don a pressure suit to fly that high.
While you're running around after connecting fuel and Laser module to your ADFX, you're constantly saying Fuck as Twilight follows you around
By the time you are ready to go, Morgan and Falken are waiting by your ADFX
