"Alright I'll take a look at them."
"You don't have to."
"No, seriously I'll have a look."
"Erwin did I do something wrong?"
"No, Osprey, I did something wrong." Erwin said as he went and looked at the almost outdated vacuum tube electronics
"Wow, those are interesting."
"Told you. These are relics more than anything else, I just think they're neat. I would never use one of these, I don't have the space for it." Osprey said as Erwin was laughing at how stupid he was
"What are you laughing at?"
"At how much of an idiot I am. I totally dissed you thinking that you found some dumb updated GPS or radar system for me."
"You idiot I don't think anypony could make a system like that, and have it work with you."
"Yea I guess I am a big idiot. Hey, who's that over there?"
"Oh it's just Blue and her boyfriend Strizh."
"Huh, interesting couple. A F/A-18 and a MiG-29OVT, well least they're similar, except Blue can land on a ship." Erwin said making Osprey laugh
"It's nothing special to me landing on a ship. I can do it without trying. You probably could too, if you put your mind to it."
"I couldn't I don't even have arresting gear."
"Vertically you dummy."
"Ohhh, right, I forgot I could do that."
"Dummy, what in Celestia's name am I going to do with you?" Osprey said as the two of them put down the old electronics they were looking at and walked away laughing at the stupidity they just shared with eachother
"So whatddya want to go do now?"
"Don't know about you, but I could use a drink, not from the bar. That place is waaaayyyy too crowded."
"Alright, hey, there's Lightning, and Falken. What are those two doing out here?" Osprey said as the two of them walked over to Falken and Lightning
"Hey you two, what ya doing out here?"
"Oh hey Osprey, Falken's busy listening to an argument between those ponies there, and I've got to say it is kind of amusing."
"Really what are they arguing about."
"How old Falken looks vs how old he actually is?" Lightning said as he gave a little laugh
"But the kid's like two months old."
"Exactly, but he looks and talks like he's much older."
"Sometimes we all forget." Osprey said as Erwin was now starting to poke around Applejack's booth.
"Well howdy there stranger what can Ah get fer ya?"
"You wouldn't by chance have anything to drink would you?"
"Well sure Ah do. Ah've got cider, an that's about it, but Ah got all sorts of apple products other than cider."
"Yea, well how much for a drink?"
"Five bits."
"Alright, two please." Erwin said as he placed ten bits before Applejack.
"Alright two drinks comin right up." Applejack said as she broke away from the argument and went to get the drinks for Erwin. When she returned there were two five gallon jugs filled with cider.
"Twilight, wouldn't Rainbow Dash just cry at the amount of cider these ponies are getting?"
"It would be best to not inform her that Applejack is selling cider here."
"And why is that dearie?"
"She'd try to buy all the cider she could afford. Remember what happened last time when she was first?" Twilight said getting both Applejack and Rarity to smile slightly as if they remembered something funny.
"Well there ya are, there somepony yer sharin with?"
"Yes there is, in fact she's talking to Lightning right now." Erwin said as Applejack gawked again, this time at the size of Osprey's rotors.
Though Osprey did take note of this, she ignored it, she got gawkers all the time, her giant rotor/propellers are nothing special to her, it's just part of who she is.
"Thanks little pony" Osprey said as Erwin failed to thank Applejack.
"Well, ah guess ah am little compared to y'all."
"Yes you are, and what did you say this is? It's wonderful."
"It's jus apple cider, ain't nothin special, jus an ol' family recipie is all."
"Well, it is delicious."
"Well thank ya kindly." Applejack said as she pulled her hat off to slightly shield her face.
After Erwin and Osprey left, it was back to Lightning, Falken, Twilight, Rarity and Applejack.
1346 hrs. Applejack's booth
"She noticed me lookin at her an she didn't say nothin."
"Osprey's heard so much about her props that she doesn't really care much anymore if ponies stare at them."
"Really? Now ain't that somethin."
"I guess, but I do not feel that it is polite to talk about her like this when she is not here." Falken said knowing how Osprey feels.
"Twilight ah think yer friend is right, Ah shouldn't be talkin about Osprey behind her back."
"Well, you and she didn't say anything other than polite conversation so it's alright. How's the business doing here?"
"It's goin pretty good. Lotta these ponies ain't taste mah cider before an they really like it. Lightnin bought a whole barrel without even tastin it." Applejack said seemingly proud of that.
"Well it was delicious, my wife did share with me."
"Well, that was mighty kind of her."
"Yea, made her brother make a pot of soup, and she ate almost all of it." Lightning said laughing a little
"Speaking of Sasha, shouldn't you check on her?"
"Oh yea you're right Falken, thanks for the reminder buddy."
"Go before she decides to kill you." Falken said with his usual monotone
 
1500 Hrs. Your shop
You're napping in a lawn chair out in front of your shop, is this a smart thing to do with Celestia here and running around? Probably not but you're napping out in the sun regardless.
Somepony taps you and you wake up slightly, just enough to sit up and stare at who tapped you. What you see is either a sleep deprived hallucination or someone trying to trick you.
"What the fuck." You say as your eyes go from the mini Morgan who tapped you to the fullsize Morgan standing with a smile on her face.
"Is this a hallucination?"
"No, what do you think daddy?" The regular sized Morgan said
"Morgan, the real Morgan, uhh what the fuck is going on?"
"Well, Luna wanted to practice her illusions and I let her use me as an example. Thought it'd be pretty difficult for her."
"Well, she looks rather convincing as a mini Morgan." You say
"Those wings solid Princess?"
"I am not sure, but I can give you the illusion of the surfaces moving."
"Right, but you have their movements wrong, if you're trying to fool me those surfaces on the wings back here go opposite of eachother, otherwise how do you expect to control your roll, only the front one near you neck moves in the same direction. Well, I'll be damned. These certainly feel real." You say as you're running a hand along the leading edge.
"Please refrain from touching me Rex, I understand you're curious, but, my wings are rather sensitive."
"Could you throw the illusion off so I can see?" You ask only to be knocked to the ground by Luna's wing.
"Ah, that might have been a little painful."
"For whom?"
"Certainly not me. I've been knocked on my ass before."
"Well, it was very uncomfortable, but manageable."
"Glad to hear, I'd ask you both to not do that again, I was really confused." You say as you see if there's any ponies in your shop looking for help which there were none.
"So what have you been doing dad?"
"Yelled at a CH-47 for not drinking Hydraulic fluid like he should be."
"But that stuff tastes horrible, couldn't you just add it into the reservoir for him?"
"And not punish him for doing something stupid and preventable?"
"Oh, that's what you were doing." Morgan said as you nod.
"Yea what have you two been up to?"
"Bothering Sunbutt. What else?"
"You really do take after me don't you Morgan?"
"Yup! Faults and all."
"Well, least you and I share that kiddo." You say as you give her a playful punch to the leg, which isn't as bad as trying to do the same to Thunder, who requires a near full hand breaking punch for her to feel.
"Sunbutt see the illusion?"
"Yes, she was both impressed and terrified."
"Ha, she's out of her comfort zone here isn't she Luna?"
"Very much so. Though it does amuse me I do worry for my sister as she is family."
"Yea I hear ya. Worries me a little too. Prefer if she doesn't go bonkers while she's here." You say
"That would be very appreciated if my sister does not do something rash while she's here."
"Exactly what I'm thinking. But we have this handled right Luna?"
"Yes we do. It would be easier if Twilight would help."
"Well, recruit her in somehow." You say as you're standing atop a ladder to see what's going on out in the crowd.
"Aww shit, tomorrow starts the flying portion doesn't it?"
"Yea why?"
"And now is when ponies start to get hurt. Good thing I prepared for this eh?" You say as you slide down the ladder and decide to go on emergency call only.
"You girls care to walk with me?"
"Of course daddy!" Morgan said as she scooped you up and onto her back. You just laugh a little as the two of you set out through the booths.
 
1515 Hrs. VTOL Hangar.
Sasha and Lightning are cuddling, well more of Lightning cuddling Sasha, her belly's at the point to where it gets in the way.
"Sergei, Ludmila, is one of you kind enough to bring us something to munch on?"
"Da, what you wantings?"
"Anything really, I'm not terribly picky right now, and Sasha's not craving anything."
"Da give moment."
"Thanks Ludmila." Lightning said thanking her for being kind enough to bring them a snack.
"Here, is what you bought earlier today no?"
"Yea, that'll do. Thanks again Ludmila."
"No worries, as long as keeps Sasha from being grumpy."
"I'm tryin Ludmila, I'm tryin." Lightning said as he snuggled into Sasha making her giggle.
"Wish Sergei would be like you."
"Sergei wears ass for hat. Sometimes he dense"
"Da, much like my family. Guess that's why I love him so."
"Still, he good pony when he feel like it." Sasha said as Lightning was munching on the snacks he got from the festival earlier in the day.
"Da, at least he not argue all time."
"Only about Lightning."
"Da hear that one enough." Ludmila said as Lightning looked over at her with Wut written all over his face and a mouth full of food.
"What's all this about me?"
"Is nothing go back to eat."
"Alright." Lightning said
2000 Hrs. Your home.
"So I see Sunbutt's not dining with us tonight."
"Yes, but Twilight Sparkle has taken her place."
"Wonderful, guessing she'll be here when Falken gets home." You say as you sit at your table waiting for your son to come home.
It only takes him ten more minutes than it should have. Probably due to that Purple parasite on his back.
"Hey dad sorry I'm late, you mind of some of Purple's friends come for dinner too?"
"God damned it. Ask your mother."
"Mom?" Falken said as your head is now on the table and both arms are shielding it.
"Well, I don't see the harm in it, I make way more than you could eat anyways Anon."
"Alright, you two can come out now, they said yes." Falken said as Rarity and Applejack came out from his shadow.
"Well, aren't you out making friends?"
"Well, they're friends of a friend.I do not feel comfortable enough to call them my friends yet."
"Everything takes time Falken, that's how you'll know, and don't ask me if they are again. I'll give you one freebie."
"Yes dad." Falken said as you relinquished your side of the table to Applejack and Rarity.
"Well, it's mighty nice of ya to host us fer dinner Rex."
"Sure."
"What's tha matter with ya?"
"Nothin, was just trapped with Sunbutt all day yesterday, and tomorrow starts all the flying, and I'm expecting to be busy in the shop."
"Well, ah'm nearly sold out of almost all of mah products, ah could lend ya a hoof."
"As wonderful as that would be, if you can't follow a repair manual an extra set of hooves ain't going to help me." You say as Morgan puts you onto the table by her.
"I could help you, I know the layout of your shop, where you keep your tools, and I can partially understand those manuals."
"Twilight, no offence, but you take a little too long to do a basic repair, yes you do it by the book and near perfect, but I'm faster."
"Well, why can't I? Who's going to be watching over your shop?"
"The pegasus that works as a receptionist for me and plans the daily schedule." You say
"You trust him enough to watch your shop?"
"He's done it before Twilight, I rarely take a sick day, and when I have to, he just closes up and makes sure whomever is in the shop gets something to eat three times a day." You say as you really did trust him. Though he couldn't fly very well, it made you feel a little better about eachother, he could fly where you couldn't. But give you an aircraft, and well, we've seen the results of that.
"Well, dinner's ready. I tried something different. Hope you don't mind pizza dear."
"All this cheese is going to destroy my intestines."
"Well, I would make other things, but they don't eat what you do"
"I know, and thanks for accommodating. Holy hell that's a big pizza" You say as you actually see what Thunderbolt brought. It's as wide as KC's turbofan intake
"Well dig in everypony" Thunderbolt said as the ponies go to town on the pizza as you're in a little bit of shock from the size
 
2045 Hrs Raptor and Nora's
"I never asked, how'd talking to your brother go the other day?"
"It was ok. The kid's alright though. I'm glad about that. Don't have to worry too much about him"
"Well, I'm glad to hear that. You were starting to worry me for a while"
"Heh, don't worry about me Nora. What's the worst I'll do? Go and fight Terminator?" Raptor said with a bit of a laugh
"Don't do something like that. you'll cause me to seize up a die"
"I'm just playing with ya. I'd probably become an emotional wreck and do nothing but cry on you all day" Raptor said as her face turned bright red
"Aww, that's really cute."
"Cute?"
"You'd come crying to your best friend, and I think it's cute"
"Nora I..."
"What?" Nora asked.
"I uhh,"
"Uhh what?"
"I'm having another issue with explaining how I feel"
"Silly mare, you know you can say anything around me."
"I know but it's how I feel, and I don't want to drive you way like I did Lightning"
"You'd have to try really hard to drive me away Raptor. I'd be nothing without you" Nora said as she nuzzled Raptor's neck
"I lo.... u"
"What was that?"
"I love ..."
"You love what?" Nora asked as she was very entertained by Raptor's shyness and inability to come to terms with her own feelings.
"You."
"Huh?"
"Nora, I..."
"Take your time. I'm not going anywhere."
"Love you." Raptor managed to say after being barely able to say how she felt for a good five minutes. Needless to say Nora was incredibly shocked by this revelation and was utterly speechless.
"I didn't say anything that'd make you leave did I?"
"No."
"Are you ok?"
"A little shocked. I think I'm ok." Nora said as her senses slowly came to her.
"Well, I said it, not all at once, but I still said how I feel."
"Raptor, I... I didn't expect you to like me like that. I mean with all that time you spent with AV-8, I thought you were you know."
"Well, I'll be playing both sides for a while. I don't think I could trust a stallion again, especially after Sid turned into a raging psychopath. So, uh, how do you feel about me?" Raptor asked, face still bright red, and rubbing a hoof into the floor.
"Of course I love you, you silly mare. You certainly did take your sweet time coming to tell me what I already sense."
"Wait what?"
"Raptor, you're really cute when you're flustered." Nora said making Raptor's warning lights finally go off.
"See, you're such a cutie!" Nora said as she wrapped herself around Raptor and planted a kiss on her.
"NORRRAAAA!" Raptor said which just made Nora giggle with excitement.
After Nora's snuggle attack, the two of them broke down into laughter and began to cuddle on their couch as they watched a really cheesy movie.
"Nora, why didn't I ever tell you this before?"
"Because you're a big chicken, and you're definitely not the guy in this relationship."
"Nora."
"What it's true."
"Jese, way to make me feel uncomfortable." Raptor said as Nora started to giggle uncontrollably. Raptor only frowned which made the giggling even worse.
"It's not my fault you're adorable when you're upset." Nora said getting an irritated grunt out of Raptor. After a short while, they went back to cuddling before falling asleep on the couch.
 
2300 Hrs. Your home
"Rex, why are you not asleep?"
"Ah, just thinking about today and how things are going to play out when I wake up."
"But there is not much you can do."
"I know, it's out of my hands now. Guess it's up to the air and these ponies now." You say as you smile a little as you're looking up at the moon, and feeling a little sentimental from Earth.
"Princess, have any ponies other than you set foot, er, hoof on the moon?" You ask as you point up to the bright white shape in the sky.
"No, they have not, and I was no more trapped on the surface than imprisoned inside of it."
"Oh, well, that's a bummer. Well, there were 12 men who walked on the moon, back where I came from. Guess I just have that feeling of would ponies be able to venture off this planet that they have such a strong relationship with. Either it's just in man's nature to explore, or there's just something out there that calls to us ya know?" You say as you're still staring up at the crescent moon.
"You're not going to try to fly there are you?"
"No, I don't have the time or the resources to make the single thing I know could. That and who would I take with me? I need one other person minimum. Frankly, I don't trust anyone outside of the plane ponies other than you, but what I know is designed for humans, and even then I'd need a life support system to survive. Guess that's just a pipe dream for me right now."
"Well, it's nice to know that you're not leaving the planet."
"Even if I could, it'd only be to see it for myself and I'd come back to the family. Someone once said that the Moon has a stark beauty all it's own, like a magnificent desolation."
"Sounds like they sent wise men to the moon." Luna said as you smile and give her a pat on the side.
 
"Thanks for the company Luna. Don't know what it is about you, but whenever I talk to you late at night, it manages to clear my head of all the shit that's been bothering me. Sorry for touching ya just now. Since ya said earlier today ya aren't a touchy pony."
"It is alright Anon. I do not like ponies touching my wings. What you just did was alright. Though I am surprised that you find my presence to be calming. Many ponies would prefer to run at the mere sight of me."
"Well, I'd like to see it as they just don't understand, they listen to Celestia so much they don't know the actual truth." You say as Luna sits next to you as you stare up at the moon.
"They are her subjects during the time they are active, so they listen to her."
"I'm not a fan, but as much as I want to stay up right now, I should probably sleep. Before Twilight tries to set up a shop and compete against me." You say as you stand up and walk back into your home and then into bed, next to Thunder, the thankfully stationary sleeper. You could hear Luna come in shortly after you and then the door to Morgan's room being opened. When it closed again you fell asleep.
 
0800 Hrs. Small stage off to the side of the runway
"Alright, alright, settle down ponies. Today starts the Flight portion of Sun 'n Fun. Our judges will be grading you on teamwork, raw ability and your ability to preform. I look forward to watching you all, and hope that none of you get hurt in the process. We do have a special group of competitors this year, Princess Celestia has brought the Wonderbolts city, and quite frankly, I don't think they have a chance." You say as the large crowd cheers.
"Yea, that's what I thought. So have fun up there and good luck. Hornets you're up first, hope ya can impress us." You say as you walk off the stage and off to your shop where you just go and sit on the roof.
