>A happy sunny day in Dust Valley, just the way you like it
>You are Squeak, the happy and energetic mothpony mare extraordinaire and you are currently fluttering around the village in search for something fun to do
>because you’re very bored right now
>You met a few of your friends briefly but they were too busy to play with you so you decided to enjoy the nice day by flying around, and by now you’ve already worn the loveliness out of it
>You land down on the ground just on the edge of the main market area of the village where various ponies tend to sell their wares and things
>You sit your butt down and look around, trying to spot anypony who you could have fun with
>But you spot none so you sigh as your antennae start to deflate and droop as your face starts to point at the ground
>”Well, if it isn’t Squeak”
>But they perk right back up at the sound of a familiar pony
>You lift your head and turn it to the left
>it’s Virgo, grinning at you
>You squee and smile back at him, maybe he wants to have fun with you
>Normally you’d have to annoy him enough for him to start playing with you
 >Virgo walks right up to you as you stand up and turn to face him
>But then Virgo keeps smiling and walks a little circle around you while eying you left and right
>You stare back at him while wondering what he might be up to now
>After doing his little circle he comes right up to your face and suddenly puts his hoof under your chin and lifts your face to point a bit upwards so you’re looking him straight in the eyes
>”Squeak, have I ever told you how pretty you can look”
>You stare at him with surprise while he flashes you that weird smile he usually flashes at other mares
>And then your mouth curls up into a very big smile
>It’s this game! This game he plays with all the other mares except you! And now he’s finally playing it with you too!
>This must mean he wants to be even better friends with you
>Not to mention you’ve been feeling a little left out because he’s been excluding you from this thing he does for fun
>You wrap your hooves around Virgo and give him a big hug
>”Mmhhmhmhh~That’s it~”
>Virgo’s hooves snake themselves around you too and the two of you share a hug
>But then you give him a few pats on the back and break the hug
>Virgo stares at you, but he’s not looking as happy as he did before
>In fact he looks like he’s baffled
>You just keep smiling and tilt your head
>This seems to shake him out from his thoughts
>”I’m...going to go over there now, see you around Squeak”
>Virgo suddenly starts walking away just like that and disappears behind a few buildings
>You stare at him while feeling confused
>Wasn’t he going to play with you?
>You take flight and fly right after him, but as you arrive behind the houses you find Meisa there
>She notices you as you land
>”S-Squeak, hi! I’m sorry, I’m in a hurry so...”
>Meisa takes flight and quickly leaves the area as you wave her goodbye
>You wonder where she was going in such a hurry...
>But that’s not important, you need to find your friend Virgo
>You look around but you don’t see anypony else around, so you take flight and then scan the area in the air
>weird, there seems to be no ponies in the nearby area at all, where did he disappear off to?
>You do a shrug in the air and let out yet another sigh
>But then you notice a big butterfly flying past your head
>You stare at it with your mouth open, it looks really pretty
>You decide to follow it
>You fly after the butterfly while mimicking its flight pattern, and before you know it you’re having fun again while following the butterfly as it flutters around in the village
>But then you pause as you notice a couple of your friends
>it’s Virgo and Acteus, the two of them are talking about something
>You grin and dive down in front of the two
>Virgo and Acteus both pause and stare at you as you stare at the two, but then Virgo starts talking
>”Uh, hi Squeak, what’s up?”
>That’s weird, is he no longer playing that game with you?
>Maybe it was the hug, you should hug him more tightly
>And that’s what you do, taking Virgo by surprise and making him yelp with your hug
>Maybe you should rub your head against him, you’ve seen mares do that form time to time
>As you start nuzzling him Acteus let’s out a snort of laughter
>”Not Funny Acteus. Squeak, can you pull away from me for a sec?”
>Virgo breaks the hug and peels you off of him
>You step back and stare at him in confusion as he stares back at you
>You blow him a raspberry in return which makes him even more confused
>But then Virgo shakes his head
>”I’ve got stuff to do so I need to...I’m going to go now”
>Virgo and Acteus walk past you
>You just watch them go as Acteus keeps chuckling and Virgo swats him with his hoof
>Did you do something wrong? He seemed like he wanted to play earlier
>Suddenly the same butterfly catches your attention by flying past your head and you start chasing after it
>Suddenly you pause in mid air
>Wait...did you see a cutie mark on Virgo earlier?
>that’s dumb, mothponies don’t have cutie marks
>You return to chasing after the butterfly

>You are Squeak, the energetic little squeaky toy and you are currently sitting at the café with a few of your friends
>sipping grumpily on a smoothie since Meisa did not allow you to get any coffee
>You give her yet another pouty look while sipping your smoothie with drooping antennae and flat laying ears
>Meisa’s talking something with Sequin about hats so you’re not paying much attention to that
>You let out a sigh, but with the straw still in your mouth you accidentally blow up a few bubbles that surprise you
>Your antennae spring back to standing up as you forget all about glaring and focus on your smoothie as you blow up bubbles
>It’s fun, and it’s making the smoothie build up a bubbly foam
>You focus hard while the other moths talk about things as you try to see how much foam you can build up without spilling any on the table
>You keep blowing but soon enough a little bit of foam spills onto the table
>You instantly stop blowing and quickly look a the moths you’re with
>Sequin and Meisa are still taking so they have not noticed, and Virgo’s staring at a mare’s butt
>He’s been avoiding you a little after you somehow screwed up the game he tried to play with you
>You let go of the straw and quickly wipe the spill away with a napkin and then sit upright like nothing happened while trying to look as normal as possible
>But as you do you notice a familiar face approaching the table with a smile
>It’s Hexferry, and you’re the only pony who seems to have noticed her approaching the table
>as she takes notice of you she gives you a look
>it’s an odd look, she’s never given you one like that before, you wonder if it means something
>But then her face shifts back to a friendly and happy smile, almost like that little frown was never there
>And then Hexferry does something she’s never done before
>She throws herself at Virgo and hugs him from behind while nuzzling her cheek against his
>Virgo freaks out and draws the attention of Meisa and Sequin to him and Hexferry, and once he notices who’s the mare doing the thing to him he freaks out even more
>”W-tha-I-this-wha-Hexferry?”
>Sequin blushes and looks away from the two while Hexferry shows affection to the stallion, and Meisa just stares with her mouth open, rubs her eyes with her hooves and stares again almost as if she’s trying to make sure she’s not hallucinating
>You on the other hand keep your hooves in front of your mouth and try to contain your snickering at how funny the three ponies look
>Hexferry stops nuzzling Virgo and joins the table by sitting next to Virgo
>very next to him, she’s practically glued to him
>Virgo on the other hand just stares Hexferry in shock as a blush starts forming on his baffled face
>Hahaha, this is the first time you’ve seen Virgo like that, you never knew Hexferry liked pranks too! You need to go pranking with her sometime
>You give Hexferry a happy wave with your hoof as Sequin still tries to not look at the public display of affection
>”Hexferry, are you feeling all right? Haven’t eaten any honey that smelled weird or...?”
>Hexferry giggles and wraps her hoof around Virgo, who’s still as confused as a stallion can be, before answering back to the now very worried Meisa
>”I’m feeling fine, just like my usual self, n-not that you asking makes me happy or anything”
>Now Meisa looks even more worried
>”That’s not...”
>Wow, Hexferry is being really good at this prank
>Suddenly Virgo pulls away from Hexferry and pushes her away so she’s no longer clinging onto him
>Hexferry looks surprised but then she gives Virgo a pout
>”What’s the matter, don’t you like this? Or me?”
>Hexferry is about to say something else but Virgo places his hoof on Hexferry’s mouth, taking her by surprise and making Sequin gasp and look away once again
>”Hexferry, don’t get me wrong this is really nice, but it’s not like you and...”
>Your attention goes elsewhere as you notice that you’ve dropped the napkin onto the floor
>Virgo keeps talking as you lean down to pick it up, and as you do so you end up looking under the table
>Wait, what’s that on Hexferry’s butt? It looks like a cutie mark? Honey comb pattern?
>As you stare at it the cutiemark suddenly fades away
>You get back up while thinking how weird that was...
>The other ponies are still talking so you get back to listening
>”Maybe you should help me to my house then Virgo? I am feeling a little weak on my hooves”
>Meisa interrupts Hexferry before Virgo can say anything
>”Maybe I should take you home instead-“
>Hexferry quickly shakes her head
>”No, it’d be better for Virgo to do it because...because...”
>Hexferry starts to sweat as all eyes are on her now
>For some reason she keeps glancing at you a lot
>Suddenly Hexferry gets up
>”I think I can go there on my own, g-goodbye”
>Suddenly Hexferry practically runs out of the café, leaving all of you more or less confused
>That’s weird
>Meisa and Sequin exchange worried looks and they take off after Hexferry
>Virgo also gets up
>”I’m worried too, let’s go after her”
>You nod firmly
“Yes”
>And the two of you rush after the three mothponies
