"Come on...out...you know you don't sleep in here." >Fluffy pony just snuggles deeper into your bed. >"Wan' sweep wif dadee! Fwuffy scawed awone!" "No. You sleep in your safe room." >You tried letting her sleep in your room when you first got her. >Just a filly, not a baby but far from full grown. >You set up a basket at the foot of your bed. >You learned, fluffy ponies don't sleep like humans. >Over 7 hours she woke you up 5 times. >Once to tell you she was "scawed." >Twice to complain that she was "hungwy." >Twice to "pway." >Since that night, fluffy does not stay in your room. "I love you too Bluebell but you know the rules." >You don't carry her painfully, by the tail or mane. >You carry her gently, supporting her feet. >Fluffy cries and begs for what she wants. >No way in hell. >Safe room door is indeed ajar. >Gotta fix that latch...tomorrow. >Plop fluffy down in her basket bed. >She's still crying and whimpering. >"Pwease stay wif fwuffy! No weave fwuffy awone!" >Ignore her crying. >Pull night-light out of its socket. >Fluffy wails in dismay. >"Nuuuu! Why dadee take night-wight!? So scawy dawk!" "Bluebell, you know the rules. "Since you didn't stay in the safe room, you lose your night-light.  If you behave tomorrow you can have it back." >Pop a safety cover over the outlet. >Fluffy is bawling like a baby. >"Pwease night-wight back! "Goodnight Bluebell...now go to sleep." >Close the door...make sure it's latched this time. >Hear banging and scratching at the door. >Fluffy is still begging and crying. >Shut your door. >After a while her noise dies down. >You both sleep. >Fluffy gets her night-light back tomorrow night. >Fluffy never pulls that bullshit again.
