>See fluffy ponies playing in snow.
>Citizens of your town feed stray fluffies.
>Fluffies don't spend as much time foraging as most strays.
>Extra time is spent on playing.
>Blue & white fluffy tumbles onto icy sidewalk.
>Slides out of control.
>Slides onto frozen puddle.
>Ice breaks.
>Shocker; fluffy pony does not drown.
>Puddle is only inches deep...ice prevents fluffy face from going in.
>Fluffy pony is puzzled at first.
>Until ice cold water soaks through fluff.
>Icy water hits belly & legs.
>Fluffy pony begins crying and struggling.
>"Owwwieee, owwwiieee! Wawer cowd! Owww! Pwease hewp!"
>Can not escape ice.
>Gently lift fluffy pony out of trouble.
>Fluffy is shivering all over.
>Feeling generous today.
"Hey buddy, you better come inside my house until you dry off and warm up."
>Looks up at you with big teary eyes.
>"Make fwuffy wawm?"
>Before you can answer, feel something bump your heel.
>Three fluffy ponies are head butting you.

>One speaks up; "Hooman munster give fwuffy back!"
>Normally a fluffy pony making demands of a human deserves immediate painful death.
>Like I said...you're feeling generous today.
"I think this fluffy pony ought to come with me and get dry."
>"No! Hooman munster wan' take fwuffy away!"
"He'll be back, he just needs to get dry and warm up or he'll get sick."
>Spokespony stamps her hooves in anger.  "No! Gif fwuffy back! Am smawty-fwiend! Am take cawe of fwuffy hewd!"
>Herd?  There's only 4 of them, counting the one you're holding.
"You choose; do you want to come warm up, or stay with your 'herd'?"
>Fluffy pony obviously wants to get warm.
>Fluffy pony is obviously scared of "smarty-friend".
>Fluffy in your arms looks down at friends.
>"Pwease fwuffy can go wif Mistew? Fwuffy get wawm?"
>Leader snorts angrily. "No! You go 'way you no good fwuffy!"
>Sad voiced, he answers "Fwuffy stay wif herd."

>Snow sticking to wet underbelly of one.
Later...
>You see the "herd" poking a dead fluffy pony with their noses.
>"Why fwuffy no wake up?"
>It's the one from earlier, dead from hypothermia.
