Derpy awoke in a very large, soft bed. Next to her sat the Doctor on a rocking chair, lost in thought, a sad look on his face. ‘Doctor…?’ His face immediately went to a smile as he turned to her. ‘Oh good. You are awake. I’m sorry about … all that.’ ‘What happened?’ ‘You were banged up fairly bad. When you hit my chest, it must have knocked you out.’ ‘Oh Celestia… are you alright?’ ‘As long as you are safe, I’ll live. Oh, I forgot, I made you something.’ He reached behind him, and pulled out a blueberry muffin. ‘It’s an “I’m sorry for almost getting you killed” muffin.’ Derpy took a bite, and almost gagged, but she faked a smile. ‘It’s not as good as yours. I’m sorry.’ ‘No, it’s okay. It was made with…love’ Derpy blushed again.   ‘How long was I asleep for?’ Derpy asked, as the Doctor cleaned up the muffin mess on the bed. ‘I think about 3 hours. You missed dinner, did you want me to make you a salad?’ ‘No thank you Doctor. I think I might just try to sleep.’ The Doctor gave Derpy a nod before walking around to the other side of the bed. He picked up a pillow in his mouth and walked towards the door. ‘Did…did I steal—‘ ‘No Derpy. You need a proper night’s sleep. I have a couch near the engine room.’ Picking up the pillow again, he walked out the door.   The Doctor looked over his instruments. All read normal readings. He set it to an idle mode, letting it float in a quiet part of space. He sighed to himself, and threw the pillow on the floor. He laid his head on it and tried to sleep. The cold hard ground was not easy to sleep on, but he eventually drifted in to slumber. He awoke a few hours later, feeling something on his coat. In the time he was asleep, Derpy had come in and placed a blanket on him. He rolled over, and felt something on his muzzle. Opening his eyes fully, he saw Derpy lying next to him, their muzzles touching and a smile on her face. The Doctor’s hearts started to beat faster, but he closed his eyes again. ‘Night Doctor.’ Whispered Derpy. ‘Good night Derpy.’ He whispered back.   The Doctor woke with a startle. Derpy was still asleep on the ground next to where he laid, so he quietly slipped away. He walked into the kitchen, and immediately saw a large basket of muffins. There was a note attached. ‘Thought you would need breakfast-Derpy’ He looked at the muffins and tears formed in his eyes. He knew what is going on, and he didn’t want it to continue. He had to stop Derpy from doing this, making a mistake of choosing him. Many have done this before, and all had been hurt because of it. But every time he thinks of telling this p0ny; a p0ny that is obsessed with savoury baked pastries, that sees herself as stupid but obviously quite bright, that would spend her night on the cold floors with him to make sure he was okay; every time he thinks of telling her he can’t accept these feelings, he feels a pain in his chest. Not a physical pain, it was one he had never felt before. It was a feeling of heartbreak.   As Derpy walked into the kitchen, the Doctor wiped away the tears in his eyes. No need to burden her with these feelings. ‘Good Morning Doctor.’ She says in her cheery voice. ‘Good Morning Miss Derpy.’ He replied ‘Did you sleep alright?’ She blushed a bit ‘I was having bad dreams, so I went to find you.’ She grabbed a muffin from the basket ‘Why did you say you had a couch to sleep on?’ This time the Doctor went 3 shades of red ‘I…I didn’t want you to worry about my comfort.’ ‘Well I was willing to…share the bed.’ ‘No…you needed proper rest. I don’t know why you came to sleep out here.’ ‘I was afraid. I don’t like sleeping alone…’ The Doctor was quite embarrassed at this point, and tried to walk out, but tripped over his own hooves and blacked out.   He felt someone stroking his mane as he came to. He was lying on his side and didn’t immediately open his eyes, he just laid there feeling content. ‘You are a clumsy clock maker.’ Derpy says ‘Just like me. We could be weird… together. But you are too normal.’ ‘I guess you don’t like normal p0nies. I must be weirder.’ He says, opening his sky blue eyes. ‘Umm…how much did you hear?’ her face turning into a tomato ‘You said “But you are too normal”.’ He lied ‘What am I too normal for?’ Derpy went ever darker ‘…nothing.’ ‘Well, I guess I was in such a rush that I tripped over my stupid hooves.’ He looked at his feet ‘Bad hooves! Making me look bad in front of my guest.’ Derpy giggled and helped the Doctor up. ‘Come on, I know where to go today.’   The Doctor pulled lever’s and pushed buttons on the circular console. He typed in a date and co-ordinates onto his screen and turned to Derpy. ‘Can you pull that big red lever for me?’ he asked ‘Okie Dokie.’ She gave him another smile, and grabbed the lever with her teeth. Pulling it back, the TARDIS  began to shake and rock everywhere. The Doctor and Derpy were thrown around the room violently, to which Derpy started to laugh. ‘WEEEEEE!’ she screamed, and it was infectious. The Doctor’s smile began to grow, until he was calling out too ‘YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!’ 907 years old, and this was the most fun he had had in ages. It wasn’t until the TARDIS stopped jumping around did Derpy finally land on the floor…right on top of the Doctor.   They looked into each other’s eyes, both their faces erupting in blushes of deep red. Neither one wanted to move, both liking what had happened but too afraid to tell the other. ‘Doctor…’ Derpy whispered, moving her face closer to his. ‘Yes…Derpy?’ the Doctor replied, staring into her eyes. ‘I…I…’ their faces mere centimetres apart. ‘yes…’ ‘I…think I should get off of you.’ ‘umm…yes.’ Derpy stood up and walked to the other side of the TARDIS’s cockpit, and watched as the Doctor stood up and walked towards the door. He opened it, and called for Derpy to come have a look. She slowly made her way over to the door and her mouth dropped in shock. The landscape was filled with multiple types of flowers of all different colours. The sweet smell of nectar and rose perfume was in the air, and the sun shone bright but not to warm. ‘Welcome to my personal dimension.’ He said, walking outside.   The Doctor and Derpy walked out into the field before them. It felt wonderful under their hooves. Derpy bent down and took a bite of flowers. They were juicy and delicious. ‘Doctor…’ Derpy said, swallowing her food. ‘What do you mean “Personal Dimmension”? What is this planet?’ ‘Well Derpy, see my sexy blue box?’ the Doctor said point towards it ‘Yeah?’ ‘Notice how it is fairly small, even though it’s so big on the inside.’ ‘Yeah. It’s cool that way.’ ‘Well, using it I type a set of numbers in. Those numbers send us here, a pocket of space that I can control. If the numbers are off by even .0001 it will send you into a black hole. Hence it’s mine.’ His face went red ‘I haven’t been here in a while, and I have never taken another p0ny or other creature here.’ ‘I’m…thankful Doctor.’ ‘But because I created this little pocket of space, I can make it what I want.’ The Doctor closed his eyes and suddenly rainclouds surrounded them. Derpy was worried until the clouds started raining muffins.   Derpy and the Doctor had lunch on a hill underneath a willow tree, its low hanging branches tickling them as the wind blew through. They enjoyed sandwiches that Derpy had made, and drank apple cider the Doctor had stocked up on Equestria. ‘You know, it’s perfect flying weather.’ The Doctor said to Derpy. ‘I’m…I’m not a good flyer. Nop0ny in town liked me to fly…’ Derpy almost shed a tear ‘But we aren’t in P0nyville. We are on my world, and I can make you fly perfect.’ The Doctor pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver and pointed it at Derpy. With a quick wirr, she felt stronger. ‘Go on, try it out.’ Derpy started to flap her wings until she lifted off the ground. She was hovering in place when she opened her eyes, and she laughed. ‘I’m doing it Doctor, I’m really flying properly.’ She shot off in the air and started flying around.  She flew up real high and looked down. It was a beautiful sight, until she noticed something in the flowers. Something was written in the flowers.   She saw the Doctor walk towards a lake, and she flew as fast as she could to tell him. She went fast and faster but lost aim. The Doctor looked up to see her flying for the lake, so he ran out to try and catch her. He was almost under her when he tripped. At the exact same moment, the Doctor and Derpy landed in the water. They looked up and began to laugh. Both drenched and looking ridiculous, they could only laugh at everything. ‘Come on. I think we should get going.’ The Doctor said, walking out of the lake and shaking off. Derpy walked out too, still laughing at that. ‘I can’t believe I flew so well. What did you do to me?’ ‘Nothing.’ She gave him a weird look. ‘I didn’t change anything in your head. All of that flying was you, and only you.’ She was shocked ‘So…I can fly?’ she began to cry. ‘Everyp0ny in the town was wrong?’ The Doctor walked over to her and gave her a hug. ‘You are a magnificent p0ny Miss Derpy Hooves, and I am glad you are here.’ ‘There was something I needed to tell you…’ she started to tap her head ‘but I can’t remember.’ ‘Then it wasn’t important. Come on. Let’s get inside and get warm.’ They both walked inside the TARDIS, and it lifted off the ground. As it flew away, the flowers in the field started to blow as if there was a large gust of wind, but settled back down to read “THE TRUTH IS COMING”.
