Chapter 14 Sweet Words >You are Vinyl. >And you are awake. >When you first woke up in the hospital, you had no idea how long you were out of it. >When the doctor told you just how long, you broke down for a good hour. >11 months. >You were not surprised Anon was not sitting by your bedside every day anymore. >But less than 3 hours after you woke up, Anon was there with Octy. >And the three of you shared a perfect moment. >In your lifetime, you had only had three other moments so far. >The first was when you had gotten your custom DJ booth. >The second time was when you got your job working with Anon and the feelings that came with it. >And the third was when you fell asleep with Octy, snuggled up next to Anon after an amazing fuckfest. >Now you had a new moment to add to the list. >For the next few minutes the three of you just enjoyed the embrace… until you heard a nervous cough. >You broke up your embrace to see your attending doctor looking at the scene awkwardly. >”Uh, sorry to interrupt, but I am here for a few tests.” >Figures, right when things had just reached perfection… “Sure thing doc, what do you want me to do?” >He gestures to your clipboard hanging from your IV stand. >”Please try to lift it with your magic.” >You had figured they would want to see if you could still use magic, you hadn’t checked up until now. >You reach for your magic and try to focus it on the clipboard. >You feel a mild tingle of pain, but you raise the clipboard without any real fuss. >”Very good, now try lifting the chair.” >Once again, you reach for the magic, this time the pain is a little more profound, but it is easily manageable. >”Did you experience any pain when lifting the chair?” “About the amount you would expect from a headache.” >He jots down a few things and takes his leave, obviously happy with his findings. >”How do you feel?” >Anon… he was always there for you when you needed him… even when you didn’t know you needed him. “I’m ok, how are you guys? I am sorry for putting you through all this!” >You truly felt bad, you had probably put them through untold amounts of stress, just because you were reckless with your magic. >But, you would do it all again if it meant you saved Anon. >”Vinyl, I am so sorry!” >Anon was apologizing to you… and you knew what for. >If Anon had checked the state of the bar more often, he probably would have noticed if the liquor cabinet was loose. >But you didn’t care, what mattered was that he was ok. “Hey, no need for the waterworks… I’m fine. Now how have things been while I was in dream land?” >Anon and Octy looked at each other guiltily before looking back at you. >Oh… >Looks like things escalated while you were out of the loop. >”Well, me and Octavia kinda became a thing after a while… it just happened.” >You nodded, you expected nothing less really. >You wanted what was best for Anon, and if he needed comforting while you were unable to provide… at least you knew Octavia was capable of doing so. >Still, you were surprised at the sting that accompanied the news. >It hurt you to know that Anon had, even if it was a temporary thing, moved on to another mare. >But, you quashed these feelings, you should be happy for them… even if the left you out. >”Vinyl, I could never replace you, I knew from the start that Anon’s heart belonged to you from the start, but Anon was hurting in a way only you or I could fix… and you were unable to help. So, I did what I could to ease the pain until you returned.” >Octavia had a way with words that helped put some of your fears and suspicions to rest once and for all. >Anon smiled and hugged you, >”I may love Octavia, but I will always cherish you Vinyl!” >A few tears crept from your eyes, he was such a sweet talker. >Over the next few days, Anon and Octavia would make repeated visits, lasting most of the day. >They would frequently talk about how the club had reached new levels of success. >Anon used the new influx of money to pay off all of the outstanding debts that he had accrued over the years, and so he could renovate the club. >There had been several safety hazards that, until now, had gone hitherto unnoticed by anypony. >The club had been expanded, which allowed for more ponies to party inside, and the upstairs had an extra bedroom added. >Octavia had moved in to said room and paid rent by performing each night. >While the club was enjoying her performances, they loved the various playlists you had come up with the last time you were in the hospital. >Anon had found them on the booth and took the liberty of playing them for the crowds. >According to him, almost all of them were loved. >He wasted no time messing with you, going over the sexcapades he had with Octavia. >It was weird how they annoyed you and turned you on at the same time. >Judging be Octavia’s face, you would say it did the same thing to her. >As much as you wanted to rip of his clothes and buck him right then and there… >The last time the two of you tried to get sweaty in the hospital, Anon was almost banned for life. >So now, he just enjoys revving your engine and watching you squirm. >When you were released… he would get his, oh yes he would. >Hmm, maybe you could get him back right now? >You pull Octavia in for a hot and bothered kiss right on the lips. >Anon’s most recent story is cut short as he watches this scene. >You started off small, wanting to savor the moment, then deepen the kiss, dipping your tongue into her mouth. >She was obviously taken aback by the sudden assault, but quickly matches the pace. >She was probably just as hot as you were at this point. >Anon was silent, and you saw a few beads of sweat appear as he watched you two make out. >Your tongue wrapped around Octy’s as the two of you continued your mouth hug. >It went on like this until you heard the door open. >Your attending nurse froze as she the scene before her violated her eyes. >”Uhh… sorry, just wanted to inform you that you will be cleared for release this afternoon. Sorry for interrupting.” >After delivering her message, she quickly scurried out of the room and closed the door behind her. >You broke the kiss and looked at Anon. >He was still stunned by the show you just put on display, but you were already planning ahead. >You tackled Anon in a tight hug, “I can FINALLY go home!” >The sudden action jolted him out of his stupor and he hugged you back fiercely. >Octavia jumped in and hugged you from behind, “Oh, this is great! We’ve been wanting you back with us for so long!” >The two of you continued this way for a few more minutes, then, you broke off the hug and headed out the door of the room you had been in for the past 11 months. >You strolled down the hall and past the nurse’s station. >You got cheers and stomps of approval of all the ponies you passed, apparently you had been something of a popular case for a while there. >You passed a few doctors on the way and you got a few smiles… like this was a moment they had been waiting for with baited breath. >It made you feel like a million bits, like you had made their career just by doing such a simple thing as walk out the door. >Anon and Octavia trailed behind you, your silent supporters. >They had been there for you when you needed them… when you didn’t even know you needed them. >That was the mark of a true friend, being there for them, even when they were unable to ask for them. >As you made you way to the front door, a small crowd had formed… just like the last time you walked out. >There were doctors, nurses, patients, administration staff, janitors, cooks, and even the Dean of Medicine was there. >It moved you to incredible depths that so many cared… >You were crying your eyes out at this point. >You were no longer just a pony walking out of the hospital… you were the underdog that somehow recovered against all odds. >You felt a hoof on your right shoulder and a hand on the left. >There they were again, supporting you when you didn’t even ask. >Because you didn’t even have to ask, they just knew when you needed it. >You walked forward to the door and looked out. >It was still morning, but you weren’t going to wait for afternoon, just like the others knew you wouldn’t want to wait. >The sliding door opened to a fresh, cool breeze and the bright sun streaming onto your face. >With the crowd cheering for you and Anon and Octavia at your back, you walked outside. >It was time to get your life back on track…
