>You are Anon. >You wake up and get ready for a new day. >You brush teeth, change clothes, grab bits, and walk out of your house. >Before heading to Applejack's farm to work, you plan on getting some breakfast first. >There is no meat to eat in this world, since ponies aren't omnivorous as humans. >But, they can cook and serve some nice eggs. >The diner that you go to makes great scrambled eggs. >And you're pretty sure griffons eat meat, but you digress. >In order to go to the diner faster, you decide to go to through the park, which is a shortcut there. >As you walk to the park, you begin to recall the time you had with Bambi. >How you met her in those torn clothes and her nonchalantly playing her game. >How you invited her to your house and gave her that skullcap and hoodie. >How... she hugged and thanked you for your generosity. >You also remember those cuts on her wrists when she was about to walk out. >Did she do that to herself? >While walking through the park, you notice a familiar pony sleeping on the same bench you passed by yesterday. >The pony is lying on her chest and is wearing a green skullcap and a pink hoodie. >Is that... Bambi? >You walk over to Bambi and slightly shake her. >You look down to her hind legs and see she is still wearing the green striped socks you gave her yesterday. >They're a little dirty, but maybe it's because she walks on dirt for... >You aren't sure how long she walks around outside. >You notice that doesn't wake up and you shake her again. >She yawns and slowly rubs her eyes. >What a cute yawn. >She opens her eyes and looks up to you. >"Oh... Anon..." >You smile at her, happy to see her again. "Morning Bambi!" >"Um... G-Good morning."   "How are you feeling?" >She sits up from the bench and looks at you. >She then shrugs, "Okay I guess..." >Silence hangs in he air after that. >Your stomach growling in hunger breaks the silence. "Do you want to grab some breakfast with me?" >Bambi frowns and looks down at the ground. >"I'm fine... even if I did go with you... I don't have any bits on me..." "I'll pay, don't worry. Forty bits should be more than enough for breakfast at the diner I go to. And I'm sure you're pretty hungry." >Her stomach growls and she puts her hoof on her stomach, trying to tame the beast from within. "See?" >You extend your hand to her. "Come on, this breakfast should be filling for you!" >She looks at your hand and back at your face. >She slowly puts her hoof on your hand and you pull her up from the bench. >"... It has been a while since I ate..." she said. >How long ago is "a while?" "I think you'll like the eggs and biscuits they cook up over there!" >The two of you began to walk to your favorite diner, which is not too far from the park.   >While the two of you are walking, you look over to Bambi, and see her head is hanging low. >What's on her mind today? "So Bambi, what did you do yesterday?" >"... I walked around... played the game I picked up..." >Actually, you stole that. "Is... that it? Nothing special?" >"... and I slept on that bench over there." "Don't you have a home so you can sleep on a bed or something?" >She stays silent. >You're pretty sure you asked this question yesterday. >The two of you make it to the the diner. >You open the door for Bambi and she walks inside, while you walk behind her. >There are not a lot of ponies in the morning, but it gets busy during lunch hour and lively during dinner. >You see a sign that says, "Welcome! Please Seat Yourself!" >You bring Bambi to a booth table and the two of you take a seat. >Menus are placed on empty tables for anybody that wants to order. >You already know what you're ordering, while Bambi looks through the menu. "See anything you like, Bambi?" >"U-Um... y-yeah..." >After a few minutes, you see a nice looking waitress, a unicorn, coming over to your table. >"Are you folks ready to order?" she said. >She holds up a pen and notepad and smiles at you, ready to write down your orders. >You look at Bambi, and she is still looking over the menu. >You shrug. "I guess I'll order first. I'll have some scrambled eggs and a biscuit... Oh, and a glass of orange juice." >The mare writes down your order and looks over to Bambi. >"Miss?" said the waitress. >Bambi lowers the menu and nervously looks back and forth at the waitress and the menu. >"O-Oh um... I-I'll..."   >The waitress raises her eyebrow and her smile starts to weaken. >Bambi puts the menu down and looks at you. >"... I-I'll have what he has," said Bambi. >"With the same drink, miss?" said the waitress. >"S-Sure..." >The waitress writes down the same order again. >She puts the pencil and notepad away, and she uses her magic to take the menus away from the two of you. >"I'll have your meals here as soon as possible!" said the waitress, as she smiles and walks away to the chef's kitchen. >You wave the waitress good bye and you look back at Bambi. >She is looking down at her right wrist and rubbing it over her hoodie. >Are those cuts that you saw yesterday bothering her? "Not much of an adventurer huh?" >"W-What do you mean?" she said. "I thought you had something in mind when you were looking through the menu." >"... There were a lot of choices..." >Well, she's not wrong. >There are a lot of options you could have for breakfast. >Then again... "Is this your first time here?" >She nods. >That awkward silence is back again. >Why do you always start up the conversations? "Say... did you give that gaming console back to whoever had it?" >She looks up and shakes her head. >She goes into her hoodie pocket, pulls out the stolen console, and shows it to you. >"I... plan on giving it back... today hopefully," she said.   "You remember where you picked it up?" >"Um... somewhere in the park." >Maybe there's a lost and found box she can drop the console off? >She looks back down on the table and at her wrists, which are covered by the hoodie. >The waitress comes back with your drinks and places them by your side. >She also leaves two straws before leaving the two of you alone. >You slide the second glass of juice and extra straw to Bambi. >You take a sip of your orange juice, while Bambi blankly stares at hers. >She puts the straw in the glass and takes a small sip. "Good?" >She nods. >... >After a few seconds, you see the same waitress coming over and carrying your meals with her magic. >"Scrambled eggs and biscuits?" >You nod, and the waitress places your breakfast meals in front of you and Bambi. >"Enjoy!" said the waitress and she walks away. >Two biscuits, each cut in half like burger buns, and scrambled eggs, with some seasoning, on the other side of the plate. >You place the scrambled eggs in the between the cut biscuits and take a bite. >It's delicious as always! >If only there were ham on this though... >Bambi notices this and does the same process as you did, albeit slower. >She raises the biscuit with eggs to her mouth and slowly takes a bite. "So... how is it?" >She blanks out, as if she walked into another plane of existence. >Once Bambi comes back to her senses, she scarfs down the entire biscuit with eggs into her mouth. >She then devours the rest of her breakfast like a hyena. "I'll... take that as a yes."   >Bambi finishes her meal before you do and starts to hiccup. >She grabs her glass of orange juice and sucks down all of it to rid of the hiccups. >She then takes a deep breath and exhales. >"That was great..." "I could tell." >While you are finishing up your breakfast, Bambi pulls out the gaming console and continues playing with it. >You stack the plates and the waitress comes over and takes the empty plates and glass away. >Before she leaves, she gives the bill to you and walks to the back of the kitchen. >You look over the bill to see how much breakfast costs. >Fifteen bits. >Well, Bambi is here and you promised to pay. >You place fifteen bits on top of the bill and get up from your seat. >Bambi is still sitting and playing that game. "Ready to go, Bambi?" >"Yeah... hold on..." >You look at the clock and see that you'll be a little late to work at Applejack's farm. >Hopefully she doesn't mind. You can simply say you had to grab breakfast and lost the path on the way there. >After a few minutes, she pauses her game, puts the gaming console in her pocket, and slides out of the table booth. >You and Bambi leave the diner together and out on the streets. "You told me that you were moved out of your parent's house, right?" >She is startled to hear that question. >"U-Um... y-yeah..." "Where do you live now?" >"... S-Somewhere around here. Not too... familiar being here." "Do you want me to walk you-" >"I-I'll be fine, Anon... really." "You sure?" >She weakly nods. "If you say so. I have to get going to Applejack's orchard now. Maybe we can meet later in the afternoon?" >"... Sounds nice..." "I'll see you then, Bambi!" >You wave goodbye and walk off to Applejack's farm, while Bambi stands there on the street, slowly waving goodbye at you. >Bambi stops waving and when you are out of her sight, she whispers to herself. >"... W-Why is Anon so... nice to me?" >...   >After working the whole morning with Applejack on collecting and moving apples around, you finally get to take a break. >You wave goodbye to the Apple family and walk to the park. >Hopefully Bambi is at the park. Maybe you and her can walk around Ponyville to see what you can do. >Once you make it to the park, you look for the bench that Bambi sits down on. >... She's not there. >You look around the park to see if she's here at all. >There is no sight of her. "Where did she go?" >You said to yourself. >She did say she wasn't too familiar being around the diner area, and she probably went home to take a nap or something. >You slowly go back home to turn yourself in for the next day. >... You wonder if Bambi is okay, even if she is at home. >...
