>The warmth of the water helped ease her tension, her joints popping as she adjusted herself. >Trixie sighed in content, leaving the rest of the world behind to enjoy herself, if only for a moment. >Glancing about, she didn't see anything she could use to pour water on her head to start on her hair, no cup nor bucket in sight. >"How does Anon wash his hair if he doesn't have anything to pour water over himself with?" >Taking a deep breath, Trixie closed her eyes and held her breath, plunging her head under the water for a few moments. >She could feel her hair spreading through the water, lifting her head from the water nose first to keep her wet mane from her face. >Breaking the surface of the water, she exhaled in pleasure, settling back once with her eyes closed more as her horn glowed with light. >A hairbrush floated into the room and over to Trixie, starting to work on the knots in her mane. >It wasn't the pampering Trixie had always dreamed about receiving, after all she -is- the greatest unicorn in Equestria and deserves such pampering, but... >"Considering all Trixie has been through, this will do. At least I have Anon." >Trixie opened her eyes only slightly, bringing a hoof to her lips. >Something nagged in the back of her mind, she couldn't quite place her hoof on what it was though. >Leaning her head back against the rim of the tub, she blinked slowly as she looked about the room and tried to figure out what bothered her. >While she mused over what it could be, she jerked herself upwards as she felt water splash her. >"What the hay splashed Trixie?" >She noticed as she looked at the water that the hairbrush had fallen into the water, having nearly fallen asleep in the bathtub. >"Why does Anon not light this room? Trixie nearly fell asleep thanks to the water's warmth." >It wasn't what had been bothering her, but it was also a question that she would have to pose to her host. >Just why was the bathroom, of all the rooms in the well lit house, kept so dark in comparison? >Trixie could easily see around the room, it wasn't pitch black, but it was noticeably darker in here than the rest of the house. >The mare huffed, looking about the walls of the room. >"Not even a window to open to let in light... That Anon..."   >Trixie finished brushing the knots from her mane, lifting Anon's shampoo bottle with her magic and inspecting it. >"Since I don't have any of my own, Anon's will have to do. I'm sure he won't mind." >Turning the bottle upside down, she felt the cool liquid on her scalp as it seeped through her mane. >It was an old habit of hers, to brush her hair before and after shampooing to get it as clean as possible. >She knew it would just tangle again as she lathered her hair up with her hooves, but it was a force of habit. >The scent of the shampoo made her think of Anon, which made sense to her since it was his after all. >Trixie scowled as she recalled that he was currently in the presence of Twilight. >"Why would I care if he's visiting her? It's not like Anon won't come home just because he and Twilight are friends." >She knew, deep down, she was afraid Twilight might try to turn Anon away from her. >Dunking her head under the water to wash out the suds, Trixie gave herself a shake as she lifted her head from the water and wrapped her mane in a towel to dry. >"How could I think that? Anon has done nothing but provide for me since taking me in and been a better friend to me than anyone else has ever been." >"I need to be able to trust him, after all he trusts me enough to let me live here with him." >Climbing out of the tub, she dried herself off and (after insuring the surface was dry) leapt up onto the sink again to inspect her coat. >She thought again about how emotion could empower her magic and how Anon seemed to be the catalyst to her magic. >"He did say he was learning from Twilight to help me. Surely he cares about me if he lets me not only live with him but to also take lessons on magic from Twilight." >She put a hoof to her breast, remembering how he had made her heart flutter; did his flutter all the same?
