>You awaken to the sound of insistent banging on your door >You roll over in your bed to look at your clock, untangling the sheets wrapped around you >It's.......5am? >Who the hell.... >You stomp your way down the small flight of steps that separate your modest room from the rest of your small home >Your temper is rising as you get to the door and open it mid knock with an irritable “WHAT?”. >The pink figure who was doing the knocking is taken aback by your “greeting”, and you struggle to focus your weary eyes >After a moment, Pinkie comes into focus, a sheepish smile adorning her face, ears turned down in embarrassment >”I-I'm sorry to bother you this early,” she stammers, casting glances at the ground as she speaks, “but I had something important I wanted to talk to you about.” >You invite Pinkie in to talk, the annoyance of being woken at this hour not quite leaving your voice >You hear what sounds like rolling wheels as she walks past and do a double take >Sure enough, she has what appears to be a travel bag on wheels trailing behind her >Pinkie sits herself gently onto the couch, setting her bag beside her as you shut the door >Her mannerisms put you on edge, she's unusually reserved, even if it is 5 in the morning. >You ask her what's up, if anything is wrong >She gives you a reassuring smile, “Oh there's nothing wrong, I'm just...uh....” >She takes a deep breath before putting on a big smile and looking at you, “IhavethenextfewdaysoffofworkandIwaswonderingifyou'dliketogotothebeachwithme.” >You ask her to slow down, you're still waking up >”I said, 'I have the next few days off of work and I was wondering if you'd like to go to the beach with me.” >You give her a smile, telling her that of course you'd go to the beach with her >Her smile widens, “Great! I've already got our tickets, hurry and pack your stuff our train leaves in...” she checks a watch that you're certain wasn't on her wrist a moment ago, “two hours.”   >Pinkie watches you as you pack clothes into a suitcase not much later >You throw enough clothes for 3 days in the case, including your swimming trunks >While you're packing you ask Pinkie why she was so nervous about asking you to spend time with her >”Oh, well.....ahaha...it's....it's nothing, really. Oh, hey you better hurry if we're going to get some breakfast before the trip!”   >The train ride isn't too long, the scenery racing by as you and Pinkie sit across from one another in a car nearly empty. Apparently the beach area has just opened back up for the season, and the two of you are one of the first to capitalize on it. That means mostly empty beach for the two of you to enjoy. >You have no problems during the trip, chatting with Pinkie about what the two of you are going to do for the next three days and nights. Pinkie talks of the beach, of windsurfing, dancing at clubs, naps in the sun.....the list goes on and on, the enthusiasm never leaving her voice >You check into the hotel Pinkie booked for the two of you, the receptionist gawking at you as Pinkie gets the keys to your room >She picked out a nice hotel. Outdoor hot tub, gazebo, open bar, two different restaurants, this place is clearly five stars >She opens the room, the smell of laundered sheets floating to your nostrils as the two of you enter. It's a one bed on the fourth floor, high enough from the lobby you can't hear what goes on at ground level. From what you can tell, you don't have any neighbors either. It's your own little slice of the hotel. >Pinkie throws her luggage on the bed and bounces around before turning to you and asking, “So what do you want to do first?”   Options: Windsurfing, beach [some swimming, but mostly sunbathing], wander the town with Pinkie     >You decide to wander the town with Pinkie, expressing the need to be familiar with the area >"But the beeeeach, I want to feel the warm sand on my hooves and the salty wind in my mane!" >You tell her to relax, it's just a quick walk around town, you'll get to the beach yet. You have 3 days anyways. >She gives you a small pout, but ultimately gives in, returning to her bubbly self as the two of you get a map from the hotel front and head out into the bright day. >This town is....quaint. There are a few clubs within a couple blocks of your hotel, but the surrounding buildings are mostly just rural homes with the occasional strip of eateries and a couple gift shops. The two of you manage to scout out everything of interest within a couple hours. >Maybe you expected something more, but this town just doesn't impress. The attraction here is the beach, though you bet the food here is pretty good. The town will probably be more active at night, but that remains to be seen. >You mark down the clubs and eateries on the map you grabbed before heading back to the hotel.   >You tell Pinkie you'd like to try windsurfing, since she seems to be real excited for it >Her smile looks like it's going to break her face in two it's so big >"Oh you're going to love it, I just KNOW! Alright, let me get changed!" >She grabs her suitcase and shuts the bathroom door behind her while you wait on the bed >You hear mild struggling before there's a definitive zipping noise and the door opens again >Pinkie strides out confidently in a jet black, skin tight spandex suit with her party balloon cutie mark on both flanks, the fabric showing off every curve in her supple legs and rear >She catches you with your mouth open, "You like it? I got Rarity to make me one, though it took her some time to get it fit for surfing in. You know how she is." >You snap out of it as Pinkie steps towards you. >"It's real smooth and so comfy for doing this kind of stuff in. Go ahead, feel it!" She shakes her rump at you suggestively with a wink.   >You hesitantly put a hand forward, starting at her back and sliding your hand towards her rump, feeling the slickness of the spandex material and the firmness of Pinkie's body under it, your fingertips tingling >You run your fingers over the embroidered cutie mark on her right flank, the coarseness of it offsetting the supple skin underneath >You end your caressing with a gentle slap on the rear, earning an "Oh!" from Pinkie before you get up to change into your own clothes >You don't have a suit like that, so you make due with swimming trunks and a T-shirt you don't mind getting wet >The two of you head out to the prep area on a dock where your instructor is waiting. He looks at you a bit nervously, then at his set of boards >It takes some getting used to, but you manage to fit yourself on one of the extra large boards made for stallions of considerable stature >They put a water vest on you, though it feels a bit small and chafes at your armpits >Looks like you get the first turn, Pinkie is sitting in the back of the boat that's going to pull you for your first attempt >She wishes you luck before settling into the boat, looking at you from a cushioned seat >The boat engine revs up and it coasts out from an idle to an ever growing speed   Roll for balance, skill, sweet moves, etc. Standard operating procedure as last time, I take last digits from the first 5 posts and total them versus a difficulty modifier.   [Total 25]   >The first crest approaches, Pinkie is watching eagerly as you angle your board into it and....   >You hit the wave at a good angle, sending you a solid 5 feet above the water. You take the time to wave at Pinkie with your tongue hanging out before gripping the handle of your cord again in preparation for the next wave >Pinkie whoops and hollers at you, ecstatic at your success >You're doing just fine, not trying anything fancy, just enjoying the wind in your hair and the cool water splashing on you when you land your little jumps >"Hey! Look at this one coming up! It's huuuuuuge!" >You take a look at the oncoming wave as Pinkie hollers at you some more >She's right, it's big. Big enough to do a REAL trick off of.   >Your toes clench as the thought enters your mind >You hunch down a little, preparing yourself >The wave comes, the swell raising you as you ascend up it's side before launching yourself into the air! >You use the momentum of ascension to flip your board, turning sideways in the air, you're completely upside down! >For a terrifying moment, you aren't sure you're going to complete the flip, you feel yourself stall for what feels like an eternity >With what feels like a gargantuan effort you push as hard as you can with your legs in the direction you wish to turn >In reality it was only half a second and you flip the rest of the way with no problems, landing with a huge splash, water hitting you in the face as you laugh in relief at your success >When you manage to shake some water out of your ears you're greeted with the sound of Pinkie cheering, louder than ever >"DID YOU SEE THAT? DID YOU?" She's yelling at the instructor and even the people that dot the beach as she hops up and down on the side of the boat, gripping the side as she continues to holler even after the boat comes to a stop back at the dock you started at >You get yourself off the board and finally put a hand over her mouth, smiling as you do so at her excitement >She hops out of the boat and grabs you in a hug, squeezing that firm body of hers to your own soaking torso as she starts up her admiration anew >"Oh my gosh that was the coolest thing ever, I bet even Rainbow Dash would be jealous! Though she can fly and that's sort of cheating, but you did that without wings and you were so cool and I just....." she goes on, and on, and on before the instructor finally gives a cough and tells her it's her turn   >Pinkie gets prepped for her run much faster than you did, her being a suitable size for the boards and water vest >She's still bubbling with excitement even as you take your seat in the back of the boat, watching her with a smile as she beams back at you >The boat idles out again and Pinkie gets off to a good start, hopping the small waves much like you did. She even sticks her tongue out at you once or twice, just as you did. >She nears the end of her run when another big swell comes up and she beams at you. "Hey, watch this!" >She hits the big swell, rising to the top of the wave, everything looking fine. When she launches into the air she goes to do her own stunt >She pulls her hind hooves from the board straps and does a handstand, looking at you with a smile on her face   >That smile is lost beneath the waves when the board crashes back onto the water before she can regains her footing   >Your heart is in your throat, your hands clenched at the edge of the boat as you stare at the water where she went down, the board is drifting aimlessly in the boats wake as you shout at the instructor to stop the boat >Where is she? Where is she? WHERE IS SHE?   >The boat is finally stopped and you look desperately for her pink mane and tail >It takes you agonizing moments to find it, but sure enough there it is >Without a moment's hesitation you dive into the chilly waters and swim for all you're worth >You dive when you get close, adrenaline pushing you through your muscle aches >She's there, kicking with her legs in a frenzy to reach the surface of the water, her movements panicked, she's apparently not a strong swimmer >You swim up behind her, putting your arms under her front hooves where they meet her pink body and swim upward   >The two of you break the surface, gasping for breath as you begin to tread water, still clinging onto Pinkie >The instructor brings the boat back around and the two of you struggle to get Pinkie onto the boat for a moment >Finally she's safe and you climb in after her, Pinkie spluttering and coughing some water, but overall no worse for the wear >The two of you decide to head back to the hotel room to figure out what to do next and let Pinkie catch her breath >Pinkie tells you to get into the shower first, smiling weakly, she'll be alright, she just needs to sit down for a bit >You insist that she take it first, she's the one who needs it most, you'll wait >She gets up, grabs your hand and walks you to the bathroom, shoving you into the shower stall and flipping the lever handle to "hot" before pulling the curtain shut >You're too busy reacting to the cold/hot water treatment to notice her removing her suit until a "zzzzip" is heard over your own voice >Pinkie never left the bathroom >The curtains are suddenly pulled back again as Pinkie enters the shower, her mane wet and beginning to flatten under the stream of water   >You're about to leave the shower, hand on the shower curtain when a pink hoof reaches out to gently stop you >Without a word Pinkie puts her arms around you, her head nuzzling softly into your chest as she leans on you, causing you to lean on the back of the shower stall >"I'm....I'm sorry....don't leave....just....please...." >You cautiously put your hands on her head, "You gave me a scare out there, Pinkie." >She doesn't say anything, just hugs you tighter >You do your best to run a hand through her flattened mane comfortably, careful not to pull any knots or cause her any duress >You feel the need to break the monotonous noise of water dripping from the two of you, slapping the floor in a gentle drone as the shower continues it's service with a slight high pitched whine >"I'm glad you're alright." >With these words the dam breaks >Pinkie begins to cry in your arms, just gentle coughs at first that turn to great, deep bodied sobs as she buries her muzzle in your soaked shirt   >When you think her tears have stopped, and her breathing has returned to a normal pace with only the occasional hiccup, you tell her everything is fine and ask why she is crying >She finally pulls herself away from you before looking up into your eyes, her own red from her tears >"When I was there, under the water, I felt so helpless. And for a moment," she pauses, looking like she'll be on the verge of tears again before regaining her composure, "for a moment, I thought....that I wouldn't surface. That I'd....never see you, or any of my friends, again."   >You kneel, bringing yourself head level with her before putting your arms around her neck in a more suitable hug >"Hey, don't be like that. You're fine, everything is fine." >Pinkie returns your hug, "I'm sorry for doing that. For trying to show off. I just...wanted to be as cool as you were. I'm so sorry." >You give her another squeeze as you break the hug after moments of silence. The water isn't as hot as before, you've been in here for some time >When Pinkie goes to say something else you put a finger over her mouth and tell her to turn around. She gives you a slightly puzzled look before doing as she's told >With that you pop open the container of body wash resting on the shower shelf, working it to a lather before putting your hands on Pinkie's shoulder region and pushing your thumbs deep into her muscles, both massaging and lathering her up as best you can in the shower >Pinkie gives a small sigh as she slumps forward a little, resting the top of her head on the opposite end of the shower as you work your hands over her back and sides >When she is relaxed and rinsed off you later some shampoo in your hands and run your fingers through her mane and tail, still being careful not to pull any knots >When she's cleaned up you gently push her out of the shower stall, grabbing a towel and draping it over her back as she gives you a smile before leaving the bathroom >You strip yourself of your wet clothes and rapidly wash yourself in the rapidly cooling water before hopping out and grabbing a towel for yourself   >You lean out of the bathroom to look for your luggage bag to grab a pair of boxers from at the very least >The hotel TV is on some local music channel, smooth jazz playing across the room in soothing melodies >Pinkie lies on one of the beds, towel over her like a blanket, quietly napping >You grab your set of clothes, change, and walk into the room as quietly as you can >She wakes when you lie on the bed next to her, giving you a sheepish look, "D...did I fall asleep? I'm sorry, I.." >You cut her off with a gentle shush and tell her to go back to her nap >She pulls herself over to you and rests her head on your stomach, murmuring thanks as she goes back to sleep after her ordeal >You gaze out the hotel window as this happens, the sun only just beginning to set, it's orange rays casting a glow over the beautiful beach >Looks like you'll be spending the rest of the night in the hotel room with Pinkie >You move a hand over her quickly re-curling mane as she sighs in her sleep >You couldn't ask for anything more
