For Honor - Quick Tips
[Shugoki]
 
Super Armor
-prevents one action from being interrupted by a single enemy attack
-comes back over time
-when it is down, you take extra damage
-when it is up, you take less damage
-can be broken by enemy guardbreaks
-keep the enemy far away until super armor comes back
 
Light Attacks
-fast
-use to prevent enemy guardbreaks and slow attacks
-use in tandem with super armor to counter enemy offense and trade hits
-somewhat long range
 
Heavy Attacks
-slow
-hard hitting
-can be charged
-feints occur extremely late, mostly an unsafe attack
-can be used to bait parries
-extremely effective against distracted opponents
-guaranteed on wallbang (but not optimal, see Back Breaker)
 
Headbutt
-can be performed after landing any attack and hitting guardbreak
-drains enemy stamina and pushes them back
-does not push enemies over ledges
-use this to space out your enemy and regain your super armor
 
Charged Heavy Attacks
-very very slow
-unblockable
-high damage
-use in a team fight to damage distracted or downed opponents
-high stamina drain on use, do not rely on these unless you have downed an enemy and are ready to commit to a heavy punish
-when throwing an out of stamina heavy, you can use a fully charged heavy to hit them if you start the heavy while they are falling down.
 
Oni Charge
-performed by pressing dodge while running
-accelerates your movement speed
-bumps foes and allies, can be used to control bridges
-grants super armor on activation
-can be canceled early by pressing feint
-good for making escapes or rushing into an engagement
 
Back Breaker
-performed by holding back and guardbreak
-consumes super armor on use
-slow
-guaranteed on wallbang
-instant kills an enemy if shugoki is at less than 25 hp (flashing red)
-allows allies to hit enemy caught by backbreaker
-use during teamfights to cinch kills
-shugoki can revive allies while back breaking an opponent
 
Grab Modifier (Demon Ball)
-press heavy after landing a guardbreak
-sends enemy rolling far away in a straight line
-does 1 bar
-use for ledge shenanigans or other enviro kills
