>Cerberus lets out a piercing roar. >You cover your ears in pain. They begin to bleed. >The creature dismounts. >The clashes of swords, the screams of terror, the fighting. >It's gone. >It's silent. >You turn to Crius, he's yelling and pointing to his men. >Yet you hear nothing. >Panic overtakes you once you realize what's happened. "Crius, I'm deaf!" you shout. >The Titans are still pointing and shouting amongst themselves, the same is true for Crius. "Someone, I'm deaf!" you yell out. >They ignore you. >Are they deaf as well? >You would close your eyes to usher a prayer, but you haven't got the time. >Cerberus is charging you. >You quickly and desperately rush to Crius and tap his leg. >This giant is so much larger than you. >All of the Titans are. >He looks at you with a confused expression as you point towards the guardian of the underworld. >He starts waving to the Titans that are still paying attention to him. >Almost like a hivemind at work, they collectively turn towards Cerberus. >Even in this chaos, they were quick to organize. >Even without communication, they know what to do.   >You take a moment to watch the army of Titans run towards Cerberus. >You have no time to lose, you know what must be done. >You close your eyes and speak the prayer that would be perfect for this situation. >It's more of a scripture, but is that not the holy Word of God? "Lord, by your stripes, I am healed." >Your eyes stay closed for a moment, completely shut off from the outside world. >You continue to pray, and suddenly... >"IT'S COMING IN TOO STRONG!" >*CLANK* >"GRAHH!!!!" >*ROAR* >You quickly open your eyes and dart around. >The chaos of the battlefield is back, accompanied by audio in full surround sound. >A Titan runs to Cerberus and begins to cleave with his battleaxe. >Even these giants are dwarfed by the mighty Cerberus. >You pull out your sword and rush towards them. >You know you're not a fighter. >But it's time you fought.   >A massive head comes down to the cleaving Titan, and fangs encase the giant's body. >You hear a cry from the warrior as his body separates from his chest. >The lower half of the Titan spills over and pools at the foot of this beast. >You continue charging with the rest. >Numbers don't matter to Cerberus. >The seemingly invincible beast crushes two more Titans. >"ANON, CAN YOU HEAR ME?" >You quickly turn to Crius waving your arms and nodding. "I CAN!" >"ANON, I AM DEAF!" >You figured as much. >You begin running towards him, but he puts his hands up in a 'stop' motion. >"NO, STAND AWAY." >You turn to hear another roar from Cerberus. >"ANON, RUN TOWARDS THE GATE, WE WILL KEEP IT DISTRACTED." >Crius runs back with the rest, charging Cerberus. >You have a decision to make. >You're still for a moment, stuck in thought. >These Titans are risking everything. >Several have lost their lives. >Just to ensure your escape. >If you die, what becomes of them? >Their death would be in vain. >You make the hardest choice you can at that moment. >You run for the bronze gate.   >You envy the Titans. >They can't hear the cries of their comrades. >They can't hear the terror of the battlefield or the shrieks of this beast. >You hear every death, every shriek, every single cry coming from the fighting giants who swore to protect you. >"HSSSSSSSSS" >You turn around, just to be slammed in the chest by a massive serpent. >At least it wasn't a creeper. >You rush the snake. >You swing your sword at the tail of this beast, but it's too quick for your untrained cuts. >It dodges your blade and strikes into your side, trying to sink its teeth into your hip. >You feel a slight pain, but ignore it -- you have the chance you needed. >You smash the sword into the serpent's head, and pull down. It makes a clean slice across. >You pull the snake off of your side as you hear Cerberus scream over the loss of its tail. >You take a closer look at your wound. >The serpent's teeth were stuck into the Bible holstered to your side. >You were unharmed. >You open your bible to see which page the teeth sunk in, and a verse stands out. >"And the Lord said to the serpent .... He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel" >You can almost smile at the irony.   >"ANON, LOOK OUT!" >Suddenly a huge claw comes swiping down towards you. >You jump back, to barely avoid being crushed by the three-headed monster's paw. >The monster looks to you an snarls. >It has smoke coming from where its tail once was. >The beast growls in three directions. >You hold out your sword and face it. >You cannot run from it. >You wouldn't make it very far. >So you run towards it. >And thrust your blessed longsword into its paw. >The beast yelps and lifts you up with its leg. >You are flung around like a fish on a hook, grasping on your sword's pommel for dear life.   >Suddenly you hear a roar, and blood sprays out from the back of Cerberbus's head -- one of them, at least. >The center head rolls off the body and onto the ground. >Crius is standing on the monster's back, wielding his battleaxe. >Both you and your sword are tossed into the ground, but you're now closer to the bronze gates Cerberus was once guarding. >You look at Crius, wishing he could hear you. He's too busy cleaving the second head off this beast. >You make your sprint towards the bronze gates. >There is a thunderous crash behind you, as the once-mighty Cerberus falls. >At that moment, the gates begin to close. >You make your sprint for the gates, followed by Crius and the remaining Titans. >You're close. >Just a few more inches. >Then a crash. >The gates were closed. >You were on the other side. >Crius stands with you. >Another Titan is smashed in half. >The rest are still in that hell. >For an eternity.
