“Gosh, Rainbow, your parents sure are, uh...” Scootaloo stammered to find a polite way of describing them. Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles were two mountains of flabby blue flesh, grease dripping in thick rivulets down the matted fur of their flanks. They were bigger than Twilight after she discovered fast food, though obviously they didn't hold a candle to Princess Luna and her new boyfriend.   Even now, they were eating. They'd arrived munching on fist-sized cupcakes and enormous, almost pizza-sized cookies. It had taken a herculean effort to keep Soarin' from gorging on them, especially with the two offering it up so easily. None of the Wonderbolts managed to escape without some sort of treat; Even Spitfire, despite proffering disgust at the decadent food, was caught nibbling on a cookie.   It was hard to believe these ponies had given birth to Equestria's greatest speedster, when the only thing they seemed fit for was speed eating. Yet, even as Scootaloo watched, Rainbow Dash trotted up to them and wrapped her arms around their expansive chins, staining her pristine coat in grease and crumbs from uncounted meals.   “No need to beat around the bush, dear,” Rainbow's mother giggled,  crumbs flying from her mouth as she looked up from her cake, “We're the biggest pegasi in Cloudsdale!”   “And damn proud of it!” Her father added, before letting off a belch that shook the windows in their frames.   “They're professional chefs,” Rainbow explained, trotting over to Scootaloo, who was staring in disgust and awe at the two living monuments to decadence, “Our family have a long culinary tradition, going back to the ancient Skyclad Empire.”   Scootaloo looked between Rainbow and her parents. Rainbow picked up on her bewildered expression and lay a hoof over the young filly's withers.   “I took a different path, but they never stopped supporting me, and I never stopped loving them. Our lifestyles may be as different as can be, but that doesn't mean we aren't a family.”   Windy Whistles nodded, her chins wobbling like the world's largest jello sculpture. Licking the chocolate from her plump lips, she responded, “Beautiful, honey!”   “Hell yeah!” Hothoof added between bites, before opening his flabby hooves in a wide gesture. Rainbow wrapped her hooves around her father's gelatinous torso, her muscular body squishing into his sagging chest. A second later, her mother waddled over and wrapped her arms around the two as well.   Scootaloo watched the group hug in amazement. She'd have expected disgust, even shame from Rainbow at the revelation of her parents' size. Instead, she was watching a truly loving family embrace, despite their extreme differences. Scootaloo felt a twinge of shame; If the situation were reversed, how would she react to such a visit?   “Come on, Scoots!” Rainbow wheezed, her breath slightly constricted by the weight around her, “You're part of this family, too!”   Scootaloo's wings twitched, and she leapt up to join the hug. It was overly soft, a bit damp and smelled a little strange, but she couldn't care less. She was home.
