==Transportation in Lemareia== >Us Jellypones aren't exactly the best swimmers in the sea. >While distance isn't an issue for us we are quite slow. Traveling long distances, especially for important matters isn't ideal for us. There's also the matter of the dangers in the sea. Most of our enemies can out speed us and when caught alone we are unlikely to make it away unscathed. >Manta Rays are our special pets; No other species in the sea can tame them like we do. The largest ones are used as a form of transportation. A basket hangs beneath them. >Mantas are extremely fast and graceful as well as great at acrobatics. This makes them ideal transportation services as few things will ever catch them. They also blend into the sea rather well do to their colors, creating an unintentional natural camouflage of sorts. >Most large cities have manta-ports. Where Manta Rays can safely land and dock, at these ports they are cared for. Groomed, fed, and kept happy in any ways necessary as they aren't just a tool to us. We genuinely care for them. >Theoretically we can ride them anyway but it's usually safest to only stop at designated ports for safety concerns as the sea is often an unkind place.   - >Lobster Ponies don't ride Mantas, a species that originally only knew war and whose evolution turned them into creatures built for rugged survival don't have the proper levels of delicateness to care for them. >As Lobster Ponies have four legs and are rather quick, or at least quicker than a jellypone they don't rely on transportation like we do. >When long distances are necessary though Lobster Ponies tend to ride on the backs of another much larger lobster pony who acts as both transportation but also protection. >The longest living lobsters, from a time long past, the crusaders of the war of their times have grown to goliath size, as their kind tends to do. >If largest transportation is necessary though it is not unheard of to have them use the nearest towns manta rays with the assistance of a jellypony. >The act of riding another larger lobster is a tradition mostly carried over from times of war when action was something that needed to happen quickly.   - >Being cave dwellers the Crystal Jellies have no proper transportation system in place. (Subject to change with their development) - >The Turritrots at their peak have carriages drawn by other species, what varied, usually very fast, sometimes even dangerous. (This will be fleshed out more later)     Shere should probably have some special dignified transportation, but I'm not entirely sure what. )The Dracturems obviously didn't need it, and neither did the Tiger Shark Ponies of the past.)
