Entry #1 [October 27th, about three months after arriving to Fourcannon]
 
finally got around to getting a book from the embassy and writing my own journal.
now i can stop forgetting to do things since i can just write them in here, along with a few personal notes.
i don't expect anyone to read this and i kinda hope nobody does, my writing ain’t that good and I’m going to be writing rather 'personal' things in here so i don't forget.
and if someone reads this without my permission, stop, if i find out you're reading this I'm going to get pretty upset. And I’ll tickle you to death, now onto writing what happened today, really not much, other than Curious telling me about an adventure she had months ago, she said that a bunch of tumbleweeds rolled inside the inn one day, they didn't think much of it as they thought it was some kind of prank, until the tumbleweeds assembled into a large golem and started trying to grab other ponies. and when they managed to fight it off it collapsed and all the tumble weeds started rolling away out of the inn, it was a very amusing story, up until a certain point right at the end that I'm going to get to in a few minutes, anyways Curious, Star, Booze Hound, Mariel and Hardboil, don't know who the last two ponies were but I'm sure I’ll meet them eventually, maybe. hopefully. but they all chased the rolling tumbleweeds as they rolled away, Hardboil then apparently managed to get stuck in a hole while the other got ambushed by more tumbleweeds armed with crossbows and knifes! they were organized too, Curious said that they were shouting orders and co-coordinating with each other.  luckily they managed to fight them off as well, and the tumbleweeds started rolling away into the woods, and the party followed towards a large decrepit and ruined castle, from the hill they were standing they could see two more of the tumbleweed golems from before, guarding the entrance in the castle. Curious came up with the idea of setting some of the rolling tumbleweeds on fire and let it roll into the golems so they would catch on fire. it worked pretty well, the burning tumbleweeds rolled into the patrolling golems and set them on fire as well, they fell apart as they silently burned. the party then quietly infiltrated inside as the golems guarding the gate weren't there anymore,  the castle was filled to the brim with armed tumbleweed guards. they had to climb through a collapsed section of the wall and sneak through the hallways, from there,they started heading towards the throne room. as they were walking though a long hallways they heard loud clanking, and they saw a huge tumbleweed golem  covered in old pots and pans and armed with a sword a lot bigger than a pony and a kite shield bigger than the tables in the inn, i saw the shield hanging on one of the walls. it was pretty freaking huge, anyways, the huge golem marched towards them yelling the other tumbleweed guard to come defend the queen with him, the knights armor was pretty sturdy apparently and along with the giant tower shield sized kite shield and the equally big ultra-greatsword he was obviously quite the opponent for the group of ponies, but eventually, they managed to get through its armor and defeat it, along with the other guards. the knight just fell apart and turned into rolling tumbleweeds along with the defeated guards, and rolled inside the throne room, in the throne room. was a rather ancient looking unicorn mare, and in the corner of the room, there was Phoenix Down, a friend of the party members who had been missing since the day before, he was tied up in a corner of the room and gagged as well. the apparently started flailing her hooves around and yelling as the party demanded the release of their friend and to know what this was about, meanwhile the tumbleweeds from the knight and the guards formed into a huge hand above the throne and was about to crush them, until the mare just collapsed to the floor,her horn flickering and started to look even older than she did when they first entered the room.
the hand then immediately and literally fell apart into broken branches, as well as all the other tumbleweed soldiers in the castle. the makes broke down and started crying, looking down at the tumbleweed which was the head of the knight and hugged it as she bawled, the tumbleweed was apparently called 'Wilson'. the mare started to kind of explain why she did that, saying that she only wanted to marry somepony, that she didn't want to be alone anymore. and out of loneliness,s she made these living tumbleweeds to keep her company. but all the magic needed to keep all of those tumbleweeds alive for so long was slowly killing her. the great wizard slowly faded and died as she talked, she didn't say what her name was, or got to at least share her story. she died alone, without any friends comforting her and nobody will ever know who she was or remember her. the party then proceeded to free Phoenix Down and safely returned to the town. well other than that nothing really happened today, its getting pretty cold outside, damn winter is coming  and i still need to get my own home and stockpile some food,i should start foraging in the forest but im kinda scared of that place now, after that time me and a couple others ran into spooky skeletons, one of hem even leaped at me and cut a pretty nasty wound on my chest. it wasn't bleeding or anything, but it hurt A LOT.
and then i cut the meanie in half with my sword and crushed its skull because screw him.
it could have been worse if it wasn't for the ponies that were with me at the time because i fainted a few minutes after fighting those things,  one of the ponies with me got hit in the face by a fireball too, but hes ok and his face is not scarred either so its good.

Entry #2 October 28th
My estrus just started today, now i can't look at any of the stallions without wanting wanting to jump on them and get him to do things to me. luckily that hasn't happend as i can resist the temptation as long as they are not too close to me so i can smell them or touch them, it will be hard to control myself then.
Also, my best friend Lillin, has just gotten pregnant like, yesterday, which is fantastic I'm very happy for her and Umbra and i can't wait to see the baby when its born, wonder what a bat filly or foal looks like.
I also had a very embarrassing moment as i had to sneak inside the inn's kitchen to grab some food, since i didn't any of the bartenders around and i didn't want to call Harold, since I'm in heat, since nobody other than the ponies who worked there are allowed in there i tried to be as furtive as possible while i grabbed some hay from a little box laying on the counter space at the opposite end of the kitchen from the entrance.
Then i took a knife and went in the storage and took enough bread to make two hay sandwiches, then as i started to make the thing, GearBox, who is a friend and also, a stallion. Walked down the stairs and sat at the counter. so i just sat down in the kitchen as ate my sandwiches, secretly hoping he would fall asleep on the counter like he always does, and then more ponies started coming in, Orange Burst walked in with her filly as well and started talking to him, and then Resheph walked in, and went behind the counter as i was crawling behind  it and saw me, so much for being stealthy, i was pretty embarrassed but they seemed to understand what was up after i explained.
which was very nice of them and Resheph even gave a special tea that should suppress all the funny urges and everything. then i spent the rest of the day talking to them before i had to leave to work, and meeting a rather...cute...filly? she looked like one, and she asked me if had some medicine, apparently she had a cold and me being the great nurse that i am, didn't know what to prescribe her when she asked if we had something for the sneezing
Ziggi was there too, he wanted to come with me, which is nice, i enjoy his company, or any company at all while I'm working there really. other than that it was just me working at the clinic doing the same things i do when i work there.

Entry #3 October 30th
 
another new pony showed up today, Crystal, very smart, educated pony and already has a few ideas on getting electricity going for the town, and I'm just sitting here. doing fuck all for the town, in my defence i didn't have enough time to study those kinds of things, i was just starting to study computer programming, which was kind of  interesting to study, when the teachers weren't busy yelling at the other classmates. i really wish i could have stayed a bit longer at least, because if ONE DAY we do get computers, i would have some knowledge to help with that, but no, i don't get nice things, ever.  anyways, moving on i wonder what the people back on earth are doing, i mean a LOT of people appeared in Equestria I'm not sure how many but i heard that there are several of these kinds of towns
 scattered across Equestria with hundreds of 'human' ponies living there, the fact that all those people are randomly disappearing for apparently no reason leaving no traces  is got to be spreading panic and confusion back on earth, and people are still appearing to this day, and its been going on for at least a year. if only there was at least a way to send a message back to earth, just so i could tell my dad, that I'm fine and that i really miss him, i didn't get kidnapped or anything, I'm not exactly sure what happened, i just feel asleep and suddenly, i was somewhere completely different and i wasn't even human anymore, I'm not sure how I'm going to explain the fact that I'm now a colourful pony mare living in a town full of other talking technicolour ponies to which the same thing happened to them as well, unicorns and pegasi, the same world of that my little pony cartoon. I'll think about that in the future, when there is a possibility of that being an option.
also apologized to Moon Chaser for failing at gathering the fur and pelts she asked me to bring her about 1 month ago, i owe that pony and i need to step it up, so i agreed to do some yard work for her for about 5 weeks to pay the padded armor that she kindly gave me when i came in the shop crying when i was still going through that relationship drama, and i guess she felt bad about me and gave me some padded armor to help me with the hunting that i still haven't done and to cheer me up a bit i guess, but i think she's a bit miffed at me for not actually keeping that promise, which really blows since i really REALLY wanted to keep that promise, I'm still planning on doing it eventually one way or the other.

Entry #4 [Nightmare night, October 31th]
 
thanks to Mary I'm finally starting to learn how to correctly skin animals, I'm still not quite there yet, i don't really know any of the techniques, there might be a book about it in the library, but last time i checked they were all written in equestrian and i can't read that I'm sure that if i started asking i will find someone who can teach me,but I'll do that later, for now I'll stick to following Mary's lead, remembering her tips and practising doing that by 'skinning' a wool covered practice dummy, hopefully i didn't damage the wool, Mary said it was a gift, so i could bring this to Moon Chaser and turn into something warm, actually i could ask her to pad the insides of my cloak to make it warmer and comfy, i need to get a cloak as soon as possible, shawl isn't going to do much when it starts
snowing or raining, the only interesting thing that happened today was when i woke up, sat at the bar and then suddenly
a wild FoxTrot appeared, yelling HELLO right at my face, FoxTrot being another one of my friends, she looks exactly like a fox, except that she is a pony, she yelled rather loudly too, and since horse ears are a bit more sensitive than human ears, it kinda stung for a second, that was a heart attack and a half but it was a bit amusing, so i just kinda giggled for a minute before i asked for some of that tea, since I'm still in heat, if i remember correctly it should only last for a week, maybe less if I'm lucky, but I'm not counting on being lucky, ever. she didn't know how to make that tea, and teased me for a while before she just...fell asleep behind the counter.
luckily a few minutes after that another bartender showed up, how convenient, except that he was a stallion, so i asked him to make the tea, if he knew how, and to stay out of smelling distance, i can control myself, up until the point that he gets too close, he seemed to understand the situation tho and tried to stay as far away as possible and went to the kitchen, i forgot to mention that i was wearing the bed's blanket as a cloak, because it was cold and I'm lazy, eh, so i went back upstairs to put that back on my bed and when i came back downstairs a few minutes later the tea was ready, after that, i left to rake the leaves off of Moon's yard, she had spooky scarecrows up too, which makes me very sad that i couldn’t get a costume to go trick or treat other ponies, or make jack-o-lanterns or any of the fun Halloween stuff, or how i should call it now, Nightmare Night. i finished doing that and went straight to Mary's house so she could start teaching me how to skin animals. [because i live in Europe and Europeans always miss out on the fun quests and shiz.]

[November 1st]
I'm not going to leave the bed today, my throat is killing me, i really need a scarf, I think i might be getting sick, luckily the estrus is making me feel hot and I'm getting pretty sweaty,  so at least I'm not shivering.
i was supposed to do a whole bunch of things, now i feel terrible, i want to go do the things, but I'm afraid i might make it worse by getting sick, curse you winter! why are you so cold?

[November 5fth]
 
stumbled out of the clinic today the fever is slowly going away but I'm still very weak and my head still hurts a lot,  and thanks to all the tea my friends brought my throat feels a lot better, still hurts a little when i cough but definetly not a much as it did before, Mary even made me a nice soft wool scarf, now i dont't have to worry about getting getting another throat ache, unless i forget to wear it of course. would have been really nice if the clinic had some books to read at least, so i didn't have to spend my 4 days in there staring at the ceiling or out the window while i waited for the nurse to come back or for someone to visit me so i could talk for a bit. also met another new arrival today, a unicorn mare called Tali, she was with Lillin when she came to visit me, she, or he since she used to be a man before turning into a pony, was in the army and and said he could help with getting the town some ceramic armor and some other useful things which would be fantastic, easier to make than plate armor and probably a bit lighter as well.  she also helped get back to the inn so i could write stuff in my diary before i forget, she basically had to carry me as i was still a bit weak, and that pretty much sums up everything that happened today. nothing.

[November 6th]
rushed out of the inn to get back to work as soon as i could, i had a whole bunch of things i needed to do and i need to stop slacking off, went over to Moon's shop and rappelled the assault of the dead leaves and piled them at the side of the yard then quickly rushed off to the clinic to work since it was getting late, bumped into a random pony by accident and made myself look like a clumsy dumbass, it was clear that it was not my day when 10 seconds after i walked in the clinic Lillin came in the clinic with Tali unconscious on her back with a broken leg and a very nasty bleeding wound on her head, luckily doctor Kaiasha was there as well, so we quickly brought her in one the examination rooms and patched her up as best we could, bandaged her head wound and put a splint on her leg, thats all we could really do, now she just needs to rest for a few days, i just hope the head wound isn't as bad as it looks, Crystal came to the clinic along with Mary, they said that they ran into some of Mary's traps and Tali took the worst of it, Crystal was limping but it was just a strained tendon so i gave her some aspirin for the pain and helped her get to the inn so she could rest for a bit, as for Lillin she looked fine, didn't look like she ran into traps, thank god.

[November 8th]
finally managed to bring the annoyingly heavy wooden dummy back to Mary, she also gave a bit of useful information that i probably WILL NOT remember if i don't write it down, so, i asked what kind of animals are in the woods that i could get fur from other than wolves, she told me there are a variety of small animals i can get fur from, raccoons, bunnies aand if there are other i forgot and need to ask someone else, fantastic. Mary told me that if i needed to learn more about skinning and hunting i needed to find a proper hunter, I’ll have to ask about that too. i need to make a page where i can easily access this information, and to remember to bring this book along everywhere i go.
she also told me that i can get wood for the winter from the lumberjacks or the townhall, not sure if i have to pay but I'm going to assume no, and to start stockpiling food i need to find 'Hoof and Rain' at the farms, that's good to know, i spent the rest of the day working at the clinic, talking with Tali, Lillin and FoxTrot, Tali seems to be recovering quite well, she wont be able to walk for a week but I'll try to not let her get too bored, plus she's got some friends visiting her.

[November 9th]
nothing interesting really happened today, went to the inn, grabbed a coffee, a salad and a sandwich, talked with some ponies as i aimlessly walked around the town square, not many ponies around lately, everyone is busy gathering supplies for the winter and staying at home away from the cold, only some patrolling guards and a few  ponies going to work. i spent most of the day working at the clinic, making sure everyone was fine, usually this would be my day off, but i haven't been working that much lately because i was sick and busy with other stuff so I'm trying to catch up.
i fell asleep on the desk after a while, after doing everything that needed to be done first of course.
and woke up about a few hours later...with a little note that Curious left on my forehead while i was sleeping, 'this forehead now belongs to Curious! also i left some cookies and coffee if you want them' that's what the note said, heh, well it was very nice of her to bring those delicious cookies and coffee, Curious then suddenly hopped through one of the windows and came back inside, saying that she wanted to talk about clinic-y things since Booze Hound, her husband, was playing with their daughter at the inn. so i started asking a few question since i am still very inexperienced.  
 
pregnant mare check up: making sure there are no out of normal occurrences; deep pains or sores, depression symptoms
recommendations to all the different urges, blood in urine. will deepen on this subject later next time i talk to doctor Kaiasha.
 
Administering antibiotics: in terms of pregnancy, leave that to more skilled doctors for now until i know a a bit more
no need to worry about administering any unless the patient is showing very bad symptoms, like very high fever or during infections, if there are open wounds or serious trauma, it should be administered once everyday to keep bloodborne illnesses out. for small illnesses like the common cold, the patient will have to 'tough it out' as there not much here for that, maybe give them some herbs to lessen the symptoms.
 
serious wounds and broken limbs or appendages: nasty wounds firstly need to be cleaned well, these is water, plenty of antiseptic and gauze’s for that, large laceration it will need to be stitched as well, but otherwise just gauzing it and changing the bandages should be enough, as for broken limbs, unless it is a compound fracture it will need to be stabilized and splinted, going to need to learn how to do that how to do that properly.  
 
thats about all i could ask before a pony in VERY bad condition showed up i opened the door as he was leaning on it making fall over...and probably making it worse i feel so guilty i should have at least waited a second or spoke up first but i just rushed over and opened the door as soon as i heard the banging. we brought him in one of the examination rooms in a gurney and i did all that i knew how to do to try to at least slow down the blood that was pouring out, I'm sure i could have done more to help. the leg was so broken that the doctor Kaiasha, who showed up a bit later opted to cut it off as it probably couldn’t be saved at the point, we don't really have the tools to save that, i tried to do everything the doctor and Curious where telling me as fast as i could, brought a bucket, disinfectant, a saw, and an iron rod which i quickly brought over to the fireplace to heat up so it could help stop the bleeding after they were done, i couldn’t look at the disgusting bloody scene before my eyes it was just...ew. no words to describe how bad it was. his blood is literally all over my hooves, and i think some of it is on my face as well, i quickly seared the wound after the deed was done and went back to the fireplace again, hes still alive. but hes missing his left hind hoof now and apparently he has liver problems so we can't give him aspirin, there might be something we can give him to ease the pain but I'm not sure right now. i hope there is for his sake, i wonder what caused such terrible wounds...

[November 11th]
 
went on an little adventure today in the woods, not really a long adventure but still fun, other than the fact that i was shivering like a leaf the whole time. i woke up at Hoss's house kinda looking for him and to because i was looking for him and because his house is nice and cozy, made my way through the town square and into the at the time, deserted inn, as i was twiddling my hooves and messing with my jack-o-lantern, while i waited for a bartender to show up which didn't show up. crystal shine was the only one that showed up, talked for a bit, told her i was looking for a feather in the woods, which was totally NOT an excuse to go out and explore for a bit, we decided to join in jolly co-operation and go on a glorious adventure for the almighty feather of justice with plus one to subscriptions and writing and stuff. so we rushed out of the inn and went over to the woods, before we were stopped by a Pegasus pony right at the treeline telling us that we shouldn’t go in the woods, by ourselves without even knowing our way around
i was armed and i had a knife for Crystal if necessary, but the Pegasus insisted, so we decided to take her advice for now and not go in the woods alone, for now, i politely asked if i could have one of her feathers and now i have a nice colourful quill that i can use to write, which is nice. so me and crystal decided to talk for a bit, i ended up having one of my depressing conversations about my past talking about it is nice, but i would rather keep those things to myself, i don't want to become THAT mare who is always sad and makes everyone sad. but anyways we went back to the clinic to check on Tali and maybe bring her out on the wheel chair like i said i would, while Crystal decided to go to a warehouse at the docks to grab a poncho for Tali since she didn't get the chance to get one yet. when i got back to the clinic Tali was sleeping rather peacefully so i left her alone since she really needs the sleep while she's in that condition, i decided to quietly make the beds, replacing the old blankets and pillowcases with newer and cleaner ones, while i waited for Crystal to come back i was halfway through making the first bed in the room when she came back
and laid Tali's poncho on the table, the same Pegasus, Rain Drop then walked in as well apologizing for having sorta of scolded us for wanting to go in the woods alone, it wasn't really a scold tho, I’d call it sound advice so i just told her not to worry about it and that there was no need to apologize for anything, she then offered to teach us how to find our way around the forest, give us a little tour one could say, we eagerly accepted of course but i decided that i needed to finish making the beds first before we went off, she then flew off to collect her gear while i finished here, and with Crystal's help it didn't take very long, about 5 or more minutes, we then trotted out of the clinic and started heading towards the woods, where Rain Drop was waiting for us,very sorry to have kept her waiting. the forest is very pretty place, so uncontaminated, most of the tree were completely leafless but it was very pretty to me. we came across a few bluffs which overlooked the rest of the forest, it looked like it stretched out for miles as far as the eye can see. Rain Drop warned us to absolutely not go too far north of the forest, where there are a few caves, she said that it was cursed or something like that, very dangerous to go there,  she doesn't even want fly over there. i was shivering like a leaf the whole trip the sun was warm but the wind was pretty cold and humid and if you stay under the shadows of the trees you will start to freeze,  my ears still kind of hurt, eventually we came across some sort of shrine dedicated to the goddess Luna, there was a long stone bridge, built over a small creek in front of the shrine, at the end of it was a strangely Japanese looking wooden gate the building itself was rather small with a sloped roof, inside was pretty bare, not much inside other than a few pots and some decorations, on the wall opposite of the door, was a small obsidian symbol Luna's symbol like the one on the moon one would assume, there was also a little hole on the ceiling that projected some of the sunlight straight down on the floor. Crystal's Indiana Jones  senses started tingling apparently, maybe if we waited until midnight something would happen? i kinda wanted to test that, just build a little campfire and wait until night time, but its not exactly safe to stay in the woods in the middle of the night like that, and not to talk about the cold. we decided to start sightseeing and look around to see what we could find, Crystal found a bunch of mushrooms a small white one and big purple one with a weird name i can't pronounce, she said she was going to cook one of the Croatian specialities, a delicious mushroom stew that i assume, which i didn't get to eat because i immediately went back to the clinic, instead of working i passed out on one of the beds for a while. then when i woke up i made sure that Tali, who was now awake and drawing some schematics for something, i just wish i had the knowledge to build something cool, but i don't even have the imagination to do it.
i went out after i made sure that Tali was fine and didn't need anything, also, Orange Burst, another friend of mine was sleeping on one of the beds, she was kinda messed up i didn't get to examine her before i fell asleep and left, really wish to know where she went. and to see if she's alright. i went over to Moon's Shop to rake the leaves which was very crowded Star was there too, which is nice i haven't seen him in a while, only to find out that someone had took the rake and ran off with it. i decided to just walk in the shop and sit in a corner, I'm writing this while i wait in said corner for Moon to finish talking with all the other ponies. that pretty much sums up what happened today.

[November 14th]
 
not much has happened lately I’ve just been working at the clinic taking good care of the patients,doing my daily routine of eating breakfast, talking with whoever is there for a while before heading out and going to the clinic, getting off kind of late at night then going around the town square for a bit before heading back to the inn and grabbing dinner. that's pretty much how most of the days go around here at the moment while i try to figure out what i need to and should be doing, today was rather special tho, lets start by writing what happened today, met another new pony at the inn, although her not really 'new' he's been here for quite some time but I’ve only just met him, his name is Ferric, he's the town's blacksmith, along with Strong Metal, hes also a soldier, professional welder and part-time cook, i think i forgot one but. yeah he knows how to do a lot of cool things, i kinda wish i had some his knowledge.
 so i talked to him for a while Zig was there as well, i had something to drink and a few sandwiches, before i left the inn, with Ziggi since he needed some painkillers for his arm that somehow got burnt yesterday as he was working with some fireworks, so we went over to the clinic, and got him some aspirin, then as i was bringing the dish back Lillin showed up looking for Orange Burst, since Lillin works in her shop and she didn't find Orange working there like she usually is, Orange was in the clinic inside one of the examination rooms, i didn't really see any bad wounds cuts or bruises on her and I'm not sure what happened to her i didn't really check her thoroughly but she looked fine,
to me, now we just need to wait for one of the doctors to show up to make sure its ok for her to leave the clinic
Lillin and i stayed there for a while to keep her company, well Lillin did, i just kinda asked if she needed any food or anything or how she was feeling then left and sat behind the desk, then Lillin came over to talk for a bit, since i said that it kinda bothered me that we didn't talk that much anymore so she ended up pushing me back in the room along with the chair i was sitting on to talk with Orange together, but I'm always so shy and awkward when i don't really have anything to say to someone i did talk for a bit, only for a little bit before i asked if i could leave. so then as i was about to leave Crystal showed up saying she needed to talk in private, so we left the room, but Ziggi asked me to change his bandage so i went over and grabbed a new clean bandage and wrapped it over his burn before turning my attention back to Crystal after Ziggi left, we talked about how yesterday, Ziggi was apparently drunk and wanted to get Crystal to steal some painkillers for him, which then spiralled into an argument that i managed to defuse, Crystal felt a bit bad because she said that i was being too nice to Ziggi, honestly she's not wrong i am too kind for my own good, but i wasn't going to let anything happen to Ziggi, nor was i going to let Crystal tell Mary about it. as Ziggi only needs one or two more strikes to end up in jail for a while, so Crystal apologized for her behaviour and we talked for a bit about the whole thing, then she said something i wasn't...quite expecting, at first she just said that she shouldn’t have ask me this that she knows i would accept because I'm nice, i asked about it for a minute trying to get her to tell me so i could help her out with whatever she needed, no matter what it was. she told me she missed her family, her little brother mostly. and she said that she loved me like her brother...and asked me if she could call me 'sister' i was ecstatic, so happy i couldn’t show how happy, i always secretly wished to have a big sister or brother so we just hugged, i was of course very surprised and kinda caught off guard by this...it was a bit sudden, but i accepted nonetheless, she cried and broke the hug after a few seconds yelling that she was using me, because i couldn't refuse because i was too kind and nice, so she just ran off...i chased her for a while but by the time i jumped off the chair she was already running down the snowy street towards the inn...i didn't follow her at first, i was still kinda processing what was happening, i could swear that i wasn't doing it just because i was being kind, but because having someone like her as a sister would not only be the best thing that has ever happened to me but it would also help me forget the past...now i have family here, a big sister, its like a dream come true, its almost too good to be true and i really hope I'm not just dreaming right now. it doesn't look like i am tho i can still feel pain and...everything else, this is probably one of the best days of my still rather short life.

Skinning do's and not's: DO NOT cut into the organs it will spill fluids everywhere and ruin the skin and the meat, don't cut too deep then, some animals, not specified which ones have extra skin on the neck, so bundling it up under the hand along the underside will make it a little easier to make a shallow cut, so cut around the neck then insert the knife horizontally and carefully angle the knife downward until it is almost free of the skin, stop short on the just to where the point of the knife is still under the skin, it will make it easier to return the knife into an horizontal position and push it back between the skin and the thin translucent white membrane that contains the meat, do not perforate this membrane if possible, depending on the size of the animal cut about an inch away, more for larger animals, around one side or another of the animals sex organ stopping just about lateral of the animals anus, then repeat that on the other side of the animals sex organ and anus as well, when you get on the second side of the anus just keep cutting around the top and around the tail, recommended to not touch the anus AT ALL. lastly make cut along the chest and belly onto the underside of the animal's four legs  perpendicular to the initial belly slit and cut around the legs just like with the tail after that the skin should be ready to be peeled off it will offer resistance so don't be afraid to put some muscle into it, just pull it off. will deepen this once i find another hunter or when i actually get to do it.
 
combat life-saver measures taught by FerricForge: it boils down to three things, first clear airways, make sure they are breathing then stop bleeding and treat for shock. we don't have naso-pharangials [?] or tracheotomies, so if a pony isn't breathing CPR its the best one can do, for bleeding on a torso get a wrapped up cloth or pad of gauze, anything like that and press it down onto the wound if organs are poking out of the wound, it is recommended that you do not them back in as it will cause deadly infections, just apply the cloth which is your pressure dressing and wrap a long cloth strap around the torso to hold it tight, to bleeding limbs get as high up on the limb as you can and apply a tourniquet to just cut off blood flow to the limb,to apply a tourniquet get a sturdy stick and place it up against the limb then wrap cloth strips at least two inches wide, [5.08 cm] around the limb about two inches away from the hip or shoulder then start twisting the stick to wich the bandage tight, wrap it as tight as possible keep twisting until the blood stops coming out then hold it down with another bandage to keep it from untwisting, reminder that this is only for really bad wounds, like if there is dark blood coming out or just a lot of blood, or the bone is visible, you must apply a tourniquet, for flesh wounds, a regular pressure dressing should be good enough.
 
i don't know if i should write down what has happened today and yesterday as a bunch or really bad things have happened and i can't stop crying in my bed, so I'll just write what happens tomorrow but not what happened today and yesterday, saying that I'm sad is a huge understatement.

I've spent most of my day sleeping and crying by myself in my room, only came out once or twice to get some food, making sure to cover my colourful face while i asked for food and water from the top of the staircase, by colourful i mean smarting, reddened eyes and reddened nose, moist cheeks as well as a nice grey-ish line on the fur on my cheeks caused by the many tears that were shed, my hair was all puffed out, looked like a clown since my mane is so colourful.
i remember crawling out of my room once and went to stairs to ask for food, and Crystal was there as well, everyone was a bit worried but they should know why I'm like this, Crystal offered to bring the food to my room so i could stay in bed, so she gently carried me back in my room and brought a bunch of sandwiches on dish as well a some delicious jelly too. we talked for a bit, nothing much just asked how her work was going and the bringing us electricity thing was going. I'm sure she will make it work somehow, having electrical heating would be fantastic with this cold...its starting to snow too so yeah its pretty damn cold out here. i got out of bed eventually so i could go to work or something, although i definitely wasn't in the mood for it i still need to do it. but in the end i ended up not doing it as i got sidetracked by something else. when i passed in front of the townhall i saw some pair of guards standing out side, they were wearing the unusual stylized lock badges like the ones i saw some time ago during the summer, so being the curious pony i was i went to investigate to see why the town hall had those guards outside, i wasn't really expecting much...i was kind of expecting to be told to get away because things were going on but instead they told me it was a job application for something, the vault that’s what their organization thing was called, was trying to set up an outpost in a place called Mist Veil, I'm not really sure how far it is, they told me but me being me i forgot, they said that there place was already explored and that it was safe for the most part, they were also going to give compensation for all those who signed up for this too. i just to explore this new place as well as helping get this outpost going, even tho my skills are meagre for now but I'll do my best after that me and crystal left the town hall to wait till there where less people inside so we wouldn’t have to wait in line so we went back to the inn, first i offered some tea to the poor guards that got to be outside in the cold to guard the doors. went back, talked with the ponies in the inn before rushing out to give the tea to the guards, got delayed by a colt on the way out which told me to 'stop right there criminal scum!' so cute he had a wooden sword too, hey i didn't steal anything, i just looked in his pockets that not against the law. I'm joking of course but i brought the tea to the guards and signed up for the job. then i talked with the guards for a bit, one of them was called Case Inkwell I'm pretty sure i heard that from somewhere already. so then after that i went back to get Crystal so we could sign together but she was gone, not sure where she went so i just went back by myself and signed up for the job! and then i left and went to bed.

ruff vault/catacomb location: talked to a vault guard named Time Whisperer and we talked about a few things, we ended up talking about visiting the vault its somewhere around the catacombs the entrance to it being out the south gate along the riverbank on a rocky hill apparently, i can't be fucked to write down anymore right now so I'll wait till tomorrow, maybe.

boy really should start writing here again huh? well a lot of things happened since i refused to write them down on here, since they either were uninteresting or were things i didn't want to remember, i'll make a 'short' summary
so not much worthy of being written down happened, three days ago at the inn i was with Crystal Tali and Lillin talking, drinking, just chillin'. and then Crystal threw a snowball at Lillin, which slowly escalated into a snow ball fight and was about to get more fun until, a glowing, giant ass snow spider appeared out of nowhere on the roof of the inn, luckily two other ponies showed up after seeing the spider make her way to the inn, a gray unicorn, don't recall the name cast some kind of sleeping spell on the spider, which then slid off the roof an fell to the ground close to us and it woke up, his telekinesis wasn't enough to stop it from falling so we when it woke up it inevitably attacked us, but we quickly killed it with out crossbows, there were 5 of us so it wasn't too much of a problem, GreenHoof pinned the thing to the side of the inn it was a bit disgusting, but i didn't get to look at it for too long as i was the only one that got hit in the encounter, wasn't that bad just a VERY cold cobweb that made me feel like i was going to freeze to death, other than that all it did was incapacitate me for the fight and it was also very sturdy so i had to wait till the spider was dead before GreenHoof and Crystal came along and cut it away,  they quickly carried me to the clinic to get checked up to make sure it wasn't poisoned or anything weird like that, the rest of the web that was still attached to my hoof 'melted' almost as soon as i got into the clinic. so there's that not much happened before i went out for the expedition, i will try to down the summary of everything later when I'm not busy of tired.

[Start of the expedition to Mist Veil, date: november ??]
I've finally managed to get the inspiration and will to write here again,  it only took me about a week and a half after the beginning of the expedition, yes I'm a lazy pony sometimes meh.
 
An hour before the expedition started, after Mr Wizard gave his short speech informing everyone that if there were questions he could answer them as well as something else that i forgot, then after that, he called out for volunteers for a team that would travel in front of the convoy, to make out a path for them and make sure that Mist Veil was still relatively safe, since the last time it was explored was ruffly a year ago... Of course, i volunteered to help with that, along with my sister Crystal and several others, Booze Hound, Tali, Aurora, GreenHoof and GreenLight the last three were almost complete strangers to me at the time, but they were very good ponies, good comrades as well as being very cool ponies to talk to, this has been the best first adventure with my sister ever! close calls, injuries, kitty quest to befriend eldritch faceless-bone spike/blade tailed cats that can even dig through stone and possibly solid granite, running from angry packs of timberwolves, fights with weird frost snakes and Timberwolves, even romance and love! boy this adventure was a doozy.
 
Onto actually writing what happened tho, before our group began their journey to Mist Veil, we were given a pieces of equipment from Wizard, a handy map of the area to ruffly know where we were going, although we were not given a compass with that, yeah... Two weird scanner gauntlet thingies called  T-detectors, they could detect traces of magic on things and living things, if i remember correctly, don't quote me on that if anyone is reading this, Tali and Crystal took those, then a vial of good berry extract which can be referred to as a healing potion, it pretty much regenerates damaged tissue capable of healing most wounds pretty quickly, its pretty handy to have but we only had one... GreenLight took that As well as plenty of first aid medical supplies of course, then another vial with some poison that i assume was michaol that Booze Hound took, will make a note on that michaol later maybe, while i got what was probably the coolest weapon ever in my opinion, an 'assassin's creed' style armored hidden blade gauntlet, it wasn't as reliable as my long sword but it was still so awesome to have! After getting those, we headed off to the warehouse where all the supplies for the expedition were stored and got ourself some provisions just in case, it took a while to get what we needed as the place was understandably pretty crowded but after about an hour of that, we were off, telling the last farewells to Wizard before we left and stepped out of the town's gate house into the cold, snowy fields leading to the ominous woods.
 
Our trek through the woods was calm at first, for the first 10 minutes it was, we started hearing shouting coming from above the tree line, we didn't really see who it was but we heard what they said, and i don't remember it off the top of my head but they were talking 'like soldiers', really, apparently they were part of the Equestrian army, didn't know why the hell they were out there but according to a sneaky, poncho wearing very snarky poacher bat pone, who was standing on a dead tree looking down on us the whole time, they were patrolling the woods and hunting down the frost spiders that have been lurking around recently, she then proceeded to hop off the tree and down on the ground in front of us, cordially, but not really, introducing herself to us as 'Erinna' and after she said that i recognized her, still remembering her from way back when i was still new to the town, about two or three days after i had joined the town, me, Lillin, Tonic and a bat called cobweb who offered to teach my friends who both had wings how to take off and glide around to learn how to fly, and we had the great idea to do it from the bridge over the river, pretty obvious how that went, we ALL fell in the water, cobweb included when he tried to jump in to get Lillin out, who fell in first followed by Tonic, then he started sinking because swimming with as a midget horse is not very easy, i jumped in to the rescue as well and i was doing well at first i managed to get pretty close to Tonic before i just started having difficulties staying afloat, now we were all in the river struggling to swim... I managed to get Cobweb out of there alive as he just sank to the bottom like a brick and almost drowned, i don't know how i managed to get to him and get him out but i did and I'm proud of that, BUT back on track i met Erinna there after the whole almost drowning thing, i didn't get to talk to her but Lillin did and i heard her name... so thats how i met her, BACK TO THE ACTUAL STORY, we had a quick talk with Erinna there on the road, she was kind of a jerk in her way of talking to us, calling us farmers and not really being too polite, but i shouldn't expect everyone to have my politeness i guess... The bat pony didn't follow us but said that she would keep an eye on us from a distance for the time being, saying to be careful about the 'shiny eye ones' at one point.
 
We quickly resumed our journey after that short encounter, at this point most of us were shivering due to the cold and the thick woods were not making it easing to orient in the right direction, me being completely inept at orientating myself outside of my house i had no idea where north actually was, i was too busy being cold and shivering to think about that so i was just following the group, hoping that the others knew the way at that point, only minutes pass before we come across a rather unnatural sight, Tali noticed it first as she was kinda leading the way there at the time and told us to stop because she noticed something was wrong with the trees, the trees covered with a solid layer of ice on one side, like the whole side was covered ending in icy tears near the trunks... the one facing north conveniently enough, as some of us were able to confirm luckily as they inspected them further,  not even GreenLight, who had been to Mist Veil before could tell what this was about, but it was a pretty lucky find! But then! We heard some cracking noises coming from somewhere, and everyone panicked as Tali just told everyone find a bush and get down, there was nothing out there really, the cracking was coming from the tree as the ice started to break off, SOMEONE don't know who but someone had touched it, and it started falling in the direction of the bushes we were hiding in, GreenLight's to be precise, and he came so close to getting squashed there... But came quickly dashed in for the rescue and tackled him out of the way like a badass! Honestly i was about to do it... Really i was! err, well after that happened a whole bunch of sharp but mostlty small wooden pieces covered in ice coming from the tree sweeped over Tali and GreenLight giving them several small cuts and bruises, nothing too serious but we had to stop for a minute to bandage the bigger bruises and remove the small chippings still stuck on them, GreenLight, who was a doctor by the way, was faster than me on doing that so it didn't take longer than a minute, but while that GreenLight was doing that and i looked back to face the the rest of the woods and look around, i quickly noticed something in the white mist in the distance, it was pretty far but i could still see it, as its eyes were glowing as it stared back at us, creepiest thing... It  was small and resembled... A fox? from there it looked like it, then the glow just simply vanished just like that blink and you'll miss it and it was gone, others saw it too my sister saw it as well obviously we let everyone know of what we saw and that just tensed everyone up even more, we knew there was something out there now... nonetheless we quickly resumed our march north closer to Mist Veil grouping up and forming some sort of circle 'formation' where the ponies who were shivering badly would get in the middle of it to heat up and so if anything else happening we were all close together, another several minute of walking through snow covered underbrush shivering like a leaf in the middle of the circle along with GreenLight, we started even more ominous noises! in the form of twigs breaking a bit behind us followed by growls, upon looking back everyone saw the yellow glowing eyes in the mist, except there were more than just one pair, a lot more, i don't remember how many but it was ruffly one pack of Timberwolves, yes Timberwolves about 8 of them, and we promptly booked it forward all the ponies in the group breaking into a gallop and i followed staying close behind, it was so cold and i was so stiff that it was hard to go in a straight line, the unusually disfigured and twisted wooden constructs with spikes on their joints, quickly gave chase to try to catch us, in our terrified rush to get away and reach Mist Veil before they caught us, most of us were stumbling and almost tripping as we ran into several branches and rocks concealed in the snow so they quickly quickly catched up to us, getting a closer look at their bright glowing yellow eyes and maws in the process as four of them were already very close behind us while the rest seemed to be trying to flank us! But we were so close we could practically see the clearing and the tall rocky hill with a cave entrance that was Mist Veil! We quickly started to pick up the pace and ran  for out lives towards that cave, but i had to stop when i saw that Crystal was not around me or in front of me, she was way behind with the wolves so close behind her they could almost bite her tail! I ran back for her, wasn't having that if the wolves had to catch her then she would be there to fend them off with her! Luckily it didn't come to that, by the time i had ran back to stand at my sister's side again the rest of the group had reached the cave and were waiting for us two, nobody had the same stupid idea to run back for us thank god but they had their hooves on their crossbows and spears waiting for things to get bad... But again it didn't come to that, because when we quickly managed to gain some ground from the wolves and entered the clearing, i looked back over my shoulder to see something that was EVEN MORE strange, something don't remember if small or big... Even tho i've been telling people it was big, so let's go with that, popped out from behind the tree and disappeared again into the mist where all the of the yellow glowing eyes were and after a short delay, the eyes started to disappear the barking and howling ceasing as well... Whatever that was it had frozen the wolves solid as we found out later after after a few days, i didn't know what happened to the wolves but i didn't care, i was relieved that the wolves were gone and that we had reached our destination in one piece.
 
We had made it inside the small cave that was the entrance to Mist Veil, the cave was nothing special just a... cave.
A slightly cramped small tunnel in the corner at the end of it leading into Mist Veil proper, but we didn't go in... the others decided to stay there for now and start a fire to warm up again, while i just simply passed out, i don't know why i do that but it happens and its not ideal since it seems to happen whenever something particularly scary happens. That's pretty much happened on the first day of the expedition, Fuuun... -end of day one-

(Second day of the Mist Veil expedition, november)
The first few days of the expedition were a bit... Ruff? More than that actually, the second day was certainly not as bad as the first one, but only difference was there were no timber wolves chasing us out of the woods, but there were other things that could kill us.
 
After taking pretty much being 'out like a Light' for the whole night, i woke up noticing that the bat pony we had met further back in the woods, Erinna, was now in the cave with us... After she had yelled at us from the sky the day before she had flown down to come with us i guess... She seemed a bit skeptical about it as she wasn't really part of the expedition, but she came with us after a bit of talking, turns out she might be snarky and all of that, but she still gives a fuck if you know what i mean, after a bit of figuring out what the hell had happened and after having informed the other on what i saw, seeing as how i seemingly was the only one who had saw that thing - that wasn't a timber wolf - lurking about in the woods,
we continued on into the small little cramped tunnel at th eother end of the cave which led deeper inside the cave system, besides that was a 'note' carved out into the stone wall, stating 'beware of the alots, they stab a lot' HM, that wasn't spooky at all! But we went on nonetheless, we formed a straight line and went into the tunnel down which we eventually encountered a small, very not deep hole in the ground that is just there as an inconvenience one... Well that is, unless you didn't have a rope to get back out, or wings, but it was really narrow for those that coul've been a bit troublesome, all we really had to do is jump over it, easy enough, so we all did and i went last, because being the baby i am i was scared of screwing up and slowing everyone down by tripping and falling into the aforementioned hole, Luckily enough i wasn't unfortunate enough to fall in, but someone else was, HAH! SUCKS TO BE HER! Just kidding... But yes Miss Aurora tried to jump and seemingly went 'a bit' short and fell in... Making  Erinna who thankfully had a rope long enough to reach all the way down, to go back to rescue Aurora, Then i stuck there for a few seconds because i was hesitating before i jumped and, of course, had no problems and went straigh over it and on the other said  without problems...
 
Moving on we encountered the first big chamber in Mist Veil proper, huge room which pretty much dwarfed us ponies in scale... Though i couldn't really describe by just looking at it, how much that is in meters... But its pretty big trust me on that, In the middle of the room in fact was also a BIG stone statue, carved out, pretty much as detailed as one could make a sculpture with a power tool, the statue depicted a female diamond dog standing on its hind legs with about 4 or 5 puppies in between its legs and beside her, with a sixth one being held over her arms its gaze pointed forward in the distance with a smmile, i don't know who the statue the depicted but... Those dogs went through a lot of effort to make it look pretty and realistic looking, felt like if you touched that tail it would still be fluffy even though it was made of stone, wish we had a scupturer that that was just close to being that good in our town! Or even just have one really... In the room though was pretty much just that and about 5 granite grates around the floor like ventilation shaft going straight down... Some of them being somewhat 'chipped' and damage in a way and some warm mist was coming out of them, oh and did i mention that not only was the room almost pitch dark it was also thick with warm mist? Yeaaah... Luckily we had two ponies with torches and Erinna with a lantern so we didn't bump into anything or get lost in there, Some ponies stopped to check out the grates with the chipping apprently being new, while i just kinda walked around staring at th statue from a few angles, yup, Yup pretty detailed, The room was some sort of entrance chamber, wasn't very hospitable looking but I'm guessing when it was a bit newer it was supposed too, All around us, to the left hand side and the right hand side, left and in front of us right behind the statue (West, east, northwest and north in that order) were large, pitch dark, long tunnels leading into different sections of Mist Veil, obviously we decided against splitting up into smaller groups to explore as we dind't know what could've been around the corner, After Light had consulted the map of the cave that he had been given beforehand, Mst Veil had already been explored once almost a year ago and a map had indeed been made for it, so we all stuck together and, sticking close to the ponies holding light sources, went in the tunner to the north west which was the one leading into the smaller single room in Mist Veil.
 
The tunnel went on for ruffly two or three minutes, with people chatting about checking ceiling and walls for things... The tunnel progressively got even more filled with mist, just a bit, though it made it a bit harder to see even with that lantern and torches around, on the other side was a big, not as big as the other room but still freaking big, cave room, the cave's walls were slightly 'painted' with what looked like dried blood, all of the walls were like that except the one behind us when we walked in, looked like someone just dumped a few buckets worth of the stuff against the wall and just went "Whatever, good enough.", interest choice for paint though... The room was completely empty in terms of furniture or anything, just an empty room with several small 'black' holes in the floor by the middle of it, all pouring that humid warm mist out into the room, again it... Was quite a bit ago so i don't remember the exact positions and all of that, (OOC i don't remember either.)
but there were three smaller ones in kind of circle with a much larger one in the middle that was just small enough for a small pony to fit through... Then a slit starting from the big hole and going into the wall, Greenlight had tried to get down there but everyone soon relaized how bad of an idea that was and pulled him out of there, him coming out screaming about having heard a 'Alien kind of hiss' coming from down that hole, i wasn't sure what to do, all i did was make sure everything around us was clear of whatever could be around while the others messed around, that whole hiss thing spooked me quite a bit, as well a making me curious to see what was down there, my feelings can be a bit backwards sometimes i know, We quickly got out of that room after that, not wanting to disturb whatever was inhabiting that place and returned into the tunnel, everyone being paranoid - me included - lookng everywere to make sure we weren't being followed or any spooky shit like that, as we returned back to the entrance chamber.
 
Upon returning to the chamber without trouble we quickly decided which tunnel to go down into now, according to the map the tunnels going east and west were pretty long and large, expanding into different paths and few different rooms... So we decided to go down the path leading north, or north east really to be finicky, and so we did, we entered the tunnel almost as soon as we left the other one and started headng nto what would be the 'fortress' section of Mist Veil.
 
Ths tunnel led nother smallish room, significantly smaller than that the ones before... This one ddn't have much to it ether, it did have two eerie looking skeletons in the room, laying on the floor one of the two standing over the other almost as if to shield to shield the other from something, or perhaps her just feel over and the other more unfortunate and slightly smaller  one got stuck under him and got murdered by something... judging by the shape and all, it was definitely a pair of diamond dogs who have probably been dead for a long time, a bt further up past those two there was what seemed like giant, solid granite gates coverng the whole entrance to the next room that was on the map, just past those two gates apparently, although there didn't seem to be a switch anywhere outside that to open it, but on the wall to the left though, almost beside the gates the grates that used to cover them laid wide open... Lots of cogs and gears and stuff, what looked lke the mechanism for the door apparently, luckily for us, we had two engineers with us who knew what they were doing! Tali and Crystal quickly started eyeing those gears and working with them while us less experienced ponies stood guard at the entrance or just started sightseeing around, like i did... I really wanted to feel useful somehow so i was just standing there, looking at the two work on the cogs, and other people whispering about trying to stay quiet, a nurse who barely knew how to do her job... I was still wondering what i could do to contribute to this outpost, but luckily for me, some people got a bt tired of waiting around and listenng to weird noses coming from where we came from, mostly Erinna who was still being there, keeping my morale up just slightly with her snarky remarks on some 'farmers' and was ultimatedly rather nice to me really, so we left the two engneers alone i think, which could've ended badly but DIDN'T, While i followed Erinna, Aurora Hoof and Light back in the tunnel again, of course making sure to stay as close as i could to the bat pony with the lantern as we ventured into the spoooky and eerie tunnel leading back to the entrance chamber.
 
It was a bit scary to go back now, there had been some noises like... Things banging against the wall if i remember correctly, but when we got back it was once again completetly dead silent, just as we had left it really,  so just for the sake of being thorough we went back to check n the previous room as well to see what was up in there right now, so without too much delay we did, me being scared and chatting with Erinna and possibly with the ones coming along to relieve the anxiety, in retrospect talking that much might not be too good of an idea though but on the other hand it will avoid me getting a panic attack. The room we had previously visited was unchanged and, again, empty and devoid of any sign of life, at first, once again me not remembering how everything went very well but there was a thing in there that popped up at some point, by that i mean a absolutely terrifying looking 'cat' with no eyes, its face a blank slate like the freaking slenderman and a long boney tail spike/blade that overed above the cat as it let out the most bone chilling, echoy, loud hiss i've ever heard, all of my furs literally pomfed out after that my tail was soooo much more messy than usual at that point, and then it skittered into one of the larger dark hole before we could even get close to it or react to that, Eeek! We didn't spend too much time looking for it in the hole for the alot that we quickly just went back through the tunnel, if it wasn't for the fact that the tunnel and pretty much the rest of the cave was pitch dark i would've ran back to hug CrystalShine crying, but wisely i decided to stick with Erinna and quuuickly return back to our two engineers who were still safe and working on the mechanism thank god.
 
Shortly after we had returned to the giant gate room, Crystal and Tali eventually  triggered the mechanism by fixing it a little bit, all those old cogs must've been messy after all this time, but it looks like our two engies had no problems with that and got the gate to open up for us to reavel and yet another fuckhuge room that extend quite far in... We couldn't see the end of it from the gates, this was supposedly the main hall of a fortress built by the diamond dogs, now abandoned of course, for some reason, the rock of the floor and walls was carved smoothly and it had various rooms along the left wall,there was a dining hall with a little kitchen on the back of that, along with a pantry in the back of the kitchen, two of what looked like sleeping quarters, the beds being a bit rotten along with the furniture still there which was just a couple nightstands, and on the other side of the room on the wall facing the entrance was a small storage room - It still had some old shelves thats convinient - and lastly at the far right side of the room, were a pair of large, literally golden double doors leading into some kind of... Chronicle room, i have forgotten what that looked that as well, it had like a whole painting stretched out across the three walls after the doors it was so cool! AND THIS IS WHY YOU WRITE THINGS ON THE SPOT AND NOT TWO MONTHS LATER, fuck. The main hall itself in its original state was bland and completely empty, nothing interesting to look at honestly other than the smoooooth floor and how well it was seemingly carved out of the rock and made into a giant room along with the smaller rooms.
 
After a bit of exploring of the room, checking all the rooms all and seemingly loosing Aurora for a few minutes apparently as she went to check out the vault while everyone else was distracted, we come over to admire that last room we still hadn't checked yet, everyone just kinda stood there looking at the giant painting that stretched out from th ewall to the left and ending to the right... I'm not sure what it was telling anymore, but something having to do with griffins that i remember, the place even had a '!secret room!' as well on the front wall, were the painting depicted a door oddly enough, Aurora manged to find it and pointed us towards it to give it a look, inside, that room was FILLED with long and small quartz crystal forming small spikes all over the wall left, right and front, with a much larger crystal standing on the other sid eof the room which spirals from the floor and almost to the ceiling, and everyone just caaasually walks on in... And then shit hits the fan almost immediately afterwards.
 
EVERYONE, except for Tali and Erinna who stayed outside, gets stuck inside the room once someone steps on a pressure plate while walking in and the door behind us shuts before anyone can do anything about it, and the room started filling water, a trap! An accursed drowning chamber that was and we were stuck in it! Panic ensued right after with the only thing keeping me from sitting down and crying were the friends with me scrambling for a way out while some tried to kick the thick GRANITE door down,  With Booze asking ME to remember the painting outside, which could've contained a solution but, spoiler alert, it did not, so Booze literally made my brain short circuit for nothing while i tried to remember if maybe one of the items depicted on the painting was the key and it was somewhere around there, but all  got when i dived was just painful scratches from the small crystal fragments floating on the increasingly high water as the room slowly filled up, Booze started to yell out at if we had times that could fit in the door's key mechanism on the door which had two long circular holes on the right on the middle one being slighly over the other, but shit, we had nothing that could fit in those, and so as the room continued to fill up, reaching up to our knees now, i stopped and though again having no idea were to go thinking... But as i looked back at Booze trying to fit things into the lock mechanism, i got an idea for the first time ever, a good idea, i told the others that we could carve the crystals into the shape we needed them to fit into the lock, and we tried so hard to get it done! Booze using the carving tools he kept in his bags to carve the crystals, while doctor Light literally used his scalpel to do it, while Aurora, Hoof, Crystal and I, procured the crystals for it, Light eventually ended up stabbing himself in the hoof with the scalpel in the process of using it as a carving tool, while Booze managed to craft the first key and he fucking goes hardcore when pushing it inside, and also seriously hurting his hoof in the process but hes still good! Scrambling to get another one while the doc couldn't continue with that scalpel in his hoof,  at that point the water was almost chest high and our chances of escape were getting slimmer by the second, and while Booze attempted to craft the second, not only he failed to do so but he quite literally managed to stab himself with it and shove it deep into the frog of his hoof... And now both of out possible saviours were out of commissions and i was panicking internally and externally i was in no condition to start carving, i would've probably stabbed myself and then bled out soon after, besides i had no idea how to do it... The water continued to rise despise all of that and slowly, it filled the room to the point that we were swimming to move, and we soon had to drop our gear to stay afloat as we slowly reached the ceiling, words cannot descirbe how close we got to dying a very horrible death in a trap, away from home away from our friends and loved ones, we wouldn't have even gotten buried we would still be locked in there even after having died, i just hugged my sister before i couldn't anymore and cried on her chest because i couldn't hold back the tears any longer, it was hopeless i had lost hope and thats were i was wrong, thats were i shouldn't have surrendered... But then, quite literally the unthinkable had happened, holy shit a miracle, and we are not even on the right planet for those anymore, i don't even know what happened but apparently there was some kind of explosion in the wall facing me a bit close to the door, close to its mechanism apparently, close enough to be able to break it all and put a hole in the wall big enough to make all the water flow away from the room until it emptied completely, the door opened shortly after that and a whole lot of ponies walked in, a lot more than just Tali and Erinna, the vault expedition had finally arrived there! We were saved, literally by the skin of our teeth, we will never get that lucky again ever, i was close to passing out from the lack of oxygen at that point, light headed and dizzy, gasping for that air as i looked arond to see just what the hell was going on now, turns out the doctor got stuck on one of the crystals high on the wall and he was still hanging there, by his butt, he had a crystal in his flank and... Yeah, he was on the wall like that... The unicorns had pulled him down though and it looked like he had fainted from the shock... All i had time to do before i fainted was look for the goodberry extract, which was not were i had left it by the door when i attempted to fit it in the lock and was in fact closer to the middle of the room, bottle covered in cracks, spit on it and it would break, but before anything happened to it, i crawled myself over to the unconscious doctor and carefully poured the potion down his mouth, of course i made sure he would not choke on it! I'm not stupid... I think... But then, i kinda passed out right after doing that... And thats it for this entry because its so long.

(Mist Veil expedition, day three, November)
 
 
This day was a lot, A LOT, less stressful, also much more uneventful for me but hey after all of that i didn't really mind a little bit of 'nothing' After the incident in the trap room our whole party was tired and injured in some way, mostly small cuts due to the sheer amount of pointy crystal that floated in the water when we were swimming and obviously the two other ponies that had been badly injured, GreenLight who had gotten impaled on the wall by his butt and Booze Hound who got a crystal showed up his hoof, rest of us had cuts and just needed to rest and... Get over what just happened and how close we came to dying right then, Everyone was fine though! The potion i gave to GreenLight worked wonderfully and probably saved his life it 'regenerated' most of the damaged tissue, that wound he had before the potion was such a massive gash that he would have probably bled out pretty quick, and if that didn't happen then the infection that the crystals seem to cause would've done it, but more on that later.
 
that day we barely did anything, all we did was talk, Aurora was traumatized by the whole thing and I'm surprised it didn't traumatize me as well! I mean, I've never been through this kind of situation nor have i ever almost died so soon, before this life i was nothing, a guy who mostly stuck to his computer and console and did just that, now I'm a nurse and a bad one at that running through woods whilst chased by timber wolves, exploring dark caves and then almost drowning for a second time in some accursed crystal room away from home and friends around me to ease my passing, but hey at least I'm still alive somehow so thats what matters, all i have to do now is get better at nursing people which might just take a while...  Nobody was really sure what had happened in there or what saved our lives really, Booze Hound said it was one of those alots that somehow exploded the wall, i don't know either, but he said that he had a cat give him a small little cut on the cheek and then when he turned around to look it was there, an alot who swiftly proceeded to, again somehow, blow up and put a hole through a SOLID AND THICK ROCK WALL and breaking the mechanism of the door as well, it was an unlikely story but it was also the only story...
 
Don't remember what we talked about but it was mostly about that cat, and checking how everyone was before i went back to bed, yes i spent all day doing nothing but then again i stayed there for ruffly a month so there were plenty of happenings for me...! Yaaay...

Entry #19 (Resume of relevant events of the Mist Veil expedition, middle of November to early December)
 
Basically i can't be arsed to remember every single little thing that happened and as backwards as it is the later down we go describing the expedition the harder it gets to remember, maybe because most of the days were mostly 'small talk' and 'why the fuck is Booze's hoof getting infected when antibiotics and antiseptic salves were applied!?' But here's a resume of the more relevant events! I if i can remember them all...
 
Basically:
 
On day 3, day after the drowning chamber accident,
 
Talks about the 'intruder' kitties start, did they really cause the explosion and save us, will the Vault exterminate them? No we can't let that happen they are just really scary kitties we can't let them die! Peta Movement go! Kitty quest go!
 
And right after that, talks about how to work with this and how to save them, starting from trying to figure out how many there are to how many holes they made around Mist Veil, to the means to move them or anyways to demonstrate that they are not a hostile threat, not an immediate threat even, Now onto the means to do so and the plan, Kitty quest plan mark I: Map the holes, explore other rooms, find out how many there are.
 
Then explored small misty, bloody room number 1, no contacts with the alots and no noises even, nothing... Just empty. Holes mapped, moved on back to the entrance chamber.
 
Finally figured that we need precautions for this and better tactics to number them succesfully, So Kitty quest, mark II is born: Added precautions and ideas on numbering the kitties somehow, starting from simple paint to bandage wraps over the leg to colored cloth strip scarfs. In a previous discussion it was mentioned there there were "Sedatives" Available for use, so we, or I went off with GreenLight to talk with the Albino unicorn with 'i will eat your soul' red eyes and a 'I'm always serious' kind of look who was in charge of the expedition. Turns out the sedatives WEREN'T sedatives but deadly toxins that could kill you if it touched your skin, also called michaol apparently, or micha, whatevs.
It could be diluted into a good sedative for ponies BUT it was never meant for small critter nor was it ever tested on small critters in that state, it could very well still kill them regardless of the state of the poison, ended up diluting the poison anyways to try it with some advice from friends who knew a bit more on diluting and stuff, made saline solutiuon, grabbed some syringes. vials, distilled water with some contraption thing Tali made and finally, distilled the poison past the pony non-lethal point. (i still have those never used them :D)
 
First real attempt at finding out were they like to congregate begins much later on a day or two after i think, me and a vault pony who thankfully informed me that the "michaol" is indeed a DEADLY AS FUCK poison earlier on named Volt Driver came along to help me, at firsty he was reluctant. didn't like cats and all bad experiences. But he came along anyways pretty sure mostly because Wizard Bot (name of the albino) asked, i basically asked Wiz for someone who could help me with stunning the cats, something that didn't include crossbows and spears possibly so he directed me to Volt, great guy after you talk to him for a bit...
 
I think it was ruffly after that point that i started to have feeling towards GreenLight, too scared ot really acknowledge it but i really liked him,  the manners, sense of humor, the way he looked, the voice... Dat voice, He even called me cute at one point! After Eternity mentioned it as well, i think that was really when i kind of realized i kind of liked him. It was hard to get with someone again though after the whole Hoss deal i was scared to do a repeat of what happened with him, if it wasn't for Eternity's teasing this might have never happened really, i would have never mustered up the courage to tell him a little while later if it wasn't for her encouraging it and spaghetting her way into it happening.  
 
Moving on again, me and Volt moved out of the main hall, down the tunnel and into the tunnel leading westwards into unexplored territory.
Exploration was spooky at first only contact with kitty was via some loud scratching on the walland that was it, we didn't see it until much later after we had fully explored the sauna area of the cave, in the middle of the tunnel is a weird... Mosaic actually reminiscent of the "Smiling dog.jpg" not creppy at all. we proceded presumably after the source of the sound, but ended up going coming across two more tunnels, two to the left leading into a wide, especially smooth floored cerimonial room, and to the left leading back towards the south is another tunnel, we went left first. exploring it availed to not much. we found that the tunnel split into a fork of two more tunnels, one pouring with thick, THICK warm mist while the other to the right was clear of it, naturally i decided to explore the one to the right but it simply led to a dead end, we turned back and returned to the entrance of the fork once more... The next tunnel, once again pouring with thick hot, literally almost sauna like mist, it was impossible to see what was through it so... Bein Curious i took off my clothes, cloak, gamberson and gear to not sweat myself to death apparently, before entering, since inside the tunnel was not only filled with mist but also, PITCH dark, if i got attacked in there i would't even see it coming or even see the wall 3 meters in front of me before i smushed my head in it, so Volt wisely suggested a course of action to produce light with telekinesis, he wrapped a TK aura around me which provided at least some light around me, as well as making me slighly lighter/heavier in some places... Moslty heavier i felt like something was kind of trying to pull me down the whole time and it itched and tickled everywere, I'm glad I'm not THAT ticklish now, but without further do, i dark souls'd my way through the mist and carefully made my way through the increasingly thick and hot mist, but eventually i did reach the end of it, another dead end but this one had a grate over the floor were all the vapors were coming out of... The grate seemed by sight made of granite and it also seemed to have been torn/cut right off its base, only a few pieces remained now it was just a deep, bottomless hole that went down, down, and down... I only inspected it for a few more seconds but i managed to spot a couple of what looke dlike scratch marks on and going out of the base of the grate towards the tunnel, then i just quickly got out of there, the air was thick to breathe and i was swooning from the heat.
We both rested on the wall separating the two tunnels for a while, before moving on to explore the next one, the ceremonial room, not much worth of note here other than a door on the far northern wall, a simple wooden door leading to stinky as hell room filled with what smeleld like lots of sulphur, smelled like everything bad ever... Then, as soon as we closed the door to get rid of the stank, a loud bone chilling hiss resounded from behind us, so, realizing i had not planned the taming part very well, i just improvised, friends know I'm not good with improvising but it was right fucking there and i couldn't just let it go at us, else bad thigns would happen so here went nothing, i walked slowly, whispering kind words of peace as io crouched and got into a more submissed looking pose.
AAAAAAND it worked! I didn't get clawed in the face or impaled by is big ass tail bonespike, instead it chirped and ran away... And then Volt tried to "Spike it" to keep it from escaping, and i ended up getting spiked, right in the head, i don't remember what happened but my head was aching and i could not move... My eyes weren't working and i felt like i was getting blended, literally. But other than that it all worked out in our favor, it was a start!
 
We returned, me getting up on my feet again pretty quickly after the whole spiking thing. and returned to headquarters Kitty quest mark II being semi-succeful for now but proceeding quite slowly...
 
Took another break to get my ideas straight, Kitties were confirmed to be relatively nice creatures like stray cats but a lot more dangerous and possibly lethal when pissed off, i continued making ideas for this happy the syringes weren't needed, after some talks with my friends i finally acquired myself some colored cloth strips for marking and we found meat in the pantry, could be used to feed the cats and make them more willing to not be afraid... So one could say Kitty quest had finally reached mark III??
 
Soon enough another expedition to find kitties while also exploring was made, but before we could we are interrupted by terrible news! A large amount of ponies probably those responsible of chopping trees and clearing the snow in the clearing in front of the entrance were coming back in all soaked, one of the vault guards informed me and my friends that Eternity was the cause of it as it was her turn to be on weather patrol but something must've gone wrong and she had gone missing, last known position is unknown she was last seen falling from the sky like a brick and crashed somewere in the forest, it was also referred that the woods were now in the middle of a stormy blizzard so getting her back could have been tricky,  This was indeed terrible news and a rescue team was promptly formed on the spot despite the harsh conditions and lack of hints on the mare's position.
 
Moon Chaser, Cobweb, Tali, GreenLight, CrystalShine, Aurora and myself began to made quick preparation, such a dressing up wearing the warmest gear available ranging from thick winter cloaks to the blankets of the cots, last thing we did was get some rope and link ourselves to it before we were off into the blizzard looking for her.
 
The search bared fruits quite quickly as we quickly stumbled upon some hoof prints going east, they started to vanish halfway so we ended up having to scour the land for what was left if there was anything left, although after a while, then we found more which turned into paw prints of what seemed like either a feline or a wolf, we feared for the worst and hoped for the best until it led us into a dead end, the track led into a tree and stopped there... Then a scream from somewere, Moon Chaser picked up were it came from and bolted away yelling us to follow an we did, we came across the injured figure of the bat pony we were looking for, soaked wet shivering, bleeding from several small cuts and possible contusion, she passed out, RIGHT in front of two ice snakes which were almost right on top of her only 10 or so meters away. We got there just in time loading unsheating our weapons and loading our crossbows before charging to the rescue! It was a short fight the snakes didn't really stand a chance against all of us, unfortunately i was bitten by one of them when i tried to swipe it to bits, i was the only one that got injured there and now i was poisoned by something that cold potentally freeze me to death in that -20 something temperature.
 
Once the combat was over we rushed to get Eternity out of there, firstly taking off her wet clothes and wrapping her in a small blanket sandwich, then we were off again... Success!...? We still had to make our way back and we were still in the woods... Anything could happen, all of the bad things. Swiftly, the party got back on the road going north again but on our way back, Tali spotted a FULL Timber wolf construct pack, ruffly 8 wolves popped out to kill her but she escaped, running for her life in an attempt to lead them away from us, but as soon as she did we quickly voted on going after her, i couldn't i was shivering and i could barely keep a trotting pace without stumbling around, CrystalShine and GreenLight went after her while the others stayed with the main group, taking a more scenic and hopefully safer way back... And while we made it back safely, the three ponies never returned... Disappeared in the woods probably heavily injured.
 
We rested at the entrance of the cave, made a fire, tucked Eternity in a makeshift bed nearby along with me, After only after a few hours of waiting for the trio to return Aurora began to look for them telling me to stay no matter what,  and so i did, we just traded a missing pony for three others.
 
It took almost 4 days for them to be found again, obviously in terrible shape, having been 4 days out in the cold with such ragged, soaked clothes, it was surprising they didn't go into hypotermia by now! All of their wounds were covered in a black scar tissue which was pretty much everywere on their bodies even. At least they were alive.
 
With that out of the way and with literally 90% of my friends being in a very badly injured state i had to wait on the kitty quest so i could attempt to nurse them properly, or tried to at least, Eternity came back with a mighty bad contusion with nose bleeds and swooning bieng the major symptoms seemingly. Luckily all of the ponies survived and recovered days later without problems.
 
After all of this i simply took a break to go blank minded again, trying to think over what to do next again, making me stay awake most of the nights... Days later when everyone had recovered again, Eternity does it again, between me and Light there still wasn't much showing, just out of fear of what the other would say about it i guess, at least thats how it was for me. But it was just another morning and me, Light, Eternity and Tali were sitting in the dining room having breakfast with the same old stew there was around there and i think Light asked about me, were i was from and everything to know me, flipping out at the "Italian" Part of the convo were i found that he loved Italy andits culture and everything about it apparently, One of them said something around the lines of >Italian fetish nonsense whatever, and then the teasing and the sphagetti began, mostly for Light as it became apparent he had SOMETHING at least going for me... And he spaghettied to the point that he absconded the room to escape the teasing which was then promptly directed to me until i decided to "surrender" and go after him to see what was up, sooo that was when he confessed that he did in fact like me! Yaaay!! But at the time i was still dealing with the whole Lillin thing and Hoss break up thing that even thought i had such strong feelings for him i felt like a cunt for doing this to Lillin, but how could i just say no? After a bit of pondering i came to the conclusion that if i remained in that massive Lillin/Hoss circlejerk I'll never be happy, and that i would soon regret not taking this opportunity, so when he said that "I like you" I too said the same thing.
 
We both came back to the dining hall smiling and annoucing it to them, Eternity took it especially well getting supah excited about making this happen and rightfully so! I couldn't think of a better boyfriend if i tried!
 
After that bombshell we move on to the next chapter of the kitty quest, this time the party was: Me, GreenLight and GreenHoof, second attempt now planning to mostly explore that tunnel going east, it wasn't as short as the other one and this one led to a fork of three, one dark tunnel in the middle continuing east, another to the left leading south and another one to the right going north, it was too dark to see where they led but we opted with the one going right,
 
The map we had with us told that the tunnel in the middle was a dead end and that both the tunnel to the right and left eventually arched back to meet eachother to a little room to the left... Although there was a little side room in the tunnel to the left which i kinda wantd to explore first, but alas we didn't manage to reach that room, what happened was we actually found a cat RIGHT behind us a minute after we started walking, that bone chilling hiss again!
 
I tols the others to lower their crossbows and let me work with this, not knowing what exactly i was doing, i simply did was i did last time, went prone, edgd towards it and tried to act kind ly and respectfully towards it And once again it did not attack me! It lowered its tail spike it was motioning like a damn spear and sat there, I DID IT AGAIN I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW BUT I DID! This one even let me pet it!
 
It seems as if they use their spiked tail as a feeler as well since when it got a little closed it started rubbing it up against my sides and the fabric of my clothes, even putting a few slits on my cloak the little bugger.
 
The encounter went without any trouble really, although another cat did show up right behind GreenHoof as i was dealing with the other one, this on was a bit more playful in a slightly annoying way, he responded positively as, it dind't try to kill GreenHoof but merely jumped on his back and started playing with his ears... Yeah he kinda started to bleed it wasn't pleasant,  the other cat fled after i tried to hug it, got a little too affectionate there but it still went well in my opinion, although we didn't mark it we were making sure the kitties were manageble in a way, th eother cat wasn't as much of a success i tried to gt him off but i made the stupid mistake of actually trying to pull it back, it didn't like that... That only mad eit nest on the stallion's mane for a while before it finally left on its own, it was messy but it worked out. Instead of continuing to explore we all voted to just go back and come back later.
 
The third attempt was with: Aurora, Eternity, Me and GreenLight, this time we had the scarf/red cloth strip with us and plenty of meat to give, this one was a bit more successful than the last, it was mostly Aurora doing it now and she did well enough, the kitty was skittish but got a little closed when Aurora started feeding it, the cat literally impales the piece of meat with its spike and brings it away to a corner to eat, afterwards the mare pulled out the cloth strip and wrapped it around its neck, it jumped and ran around to try to get it off but for some odd reasons it worked, and the scarf stayed around its neck! Now we had one marked, and Aurora was going to keep that one and tame it!
 
this was nearing the end of the expedition now it was around late November or early december now and and the next expedition in the tunnels would be after everyone had left, everyone was preparing to leave and i had to decide whenever i should stay to continue working with the cats or leave with GreenLight and help build our home... After a short talk with Wizard Bot thought i opted to stay... While everyone else left and went back to their homes after a long time away from them. It was also then that me and Light had their first kiss, behind everyone's backs he came back to me and without a word he kissed me, the best feeling I've ever felt no orgasm can beat that feeling i swear it was the. best. thing... Then we gave our farewells and he left, Now i really wanted to go back with him.
 
The rest is a long story, i stayed for another full week working with a pony who made me call him First, fully cloaked up, face covered by a scarf and hood and sleeves covering his legs, i couldn't even tell his or her gender! But i worked with him for  a while he served as my escort for while i worked with befriending the cats! I all went pretty well and i came out of it with a pet, i have my own alot: Dr Mew, the most amazing cat even, and the spookiest. i worked very close with the vault poies during that time, Volt And First weren't the only ones either. but yeah... This is how the story ended, and how i will resume my normal journal for now.

February 9th 2015:
 
Last events form the mist Veil expedition sometime during the middle of december.
 
After the expedition to Mist Veil things started to go strangely well, in a way that is unusually too good to be true kind of way, After almost a month and a half at Mist Veil which was totally not how long i had originally planned to stay for, the short journey back to the twon was a huge relief beyond words, the whole time in that cave system i thought i had a huge burden on my shoulders over the alot issue for many reasons, kind of relieved by the fact that i had found such a sweet heart to love, i wasn't alone for when i worked on getting things moving for the cat thing but it still felt like i was the only one actually getting the job done, no offense to the others the did a splendid job at giving me ideas and getting my directions straight right off the bat, and of course if it wasn't for the vault personel that helped me i am pretty sure the whole issue would have been a fair bit more troublesome... Overall my stay in Mist Veil was very refreshing you could say, feel like i learned a few things and achieved man things as well, this was probably the best time of my life... Minus the almost drowning part and my friends almost dying, but next time I'll be in a sitation like that i wont give up as easily i know it! Imbefore it happens again and i just crawl to the corner to cry again, but jokes aside, i wont give up next time and next time I'll swim down to attempt for the last key, in the case there wont be a huge explosion to put a massive hole in the wall and save us. So the journey back home was a mix of sadness, fear of becoming useless again, and relief, happiness for getting to see him again, i departed from Mist Veil  along with Volt Driver and my newly aquired pet, which i rightfully named: Dr Mew, (!!References!!) In my saddlebags... Yes it got into my left saddlebag almost as soon as we stepped out it was kind of cute, I'm surprised it got in right away! But hey thats good at least i didn't have to convince it, yay! Me and Volt exchanged a few words and then it was mostly silent for the rest of the trip, that lasted about an hour - maybe half an hour - before we got out of the weird woods and at last spotted FourCannon, then to end it off we went over to the Schoolhouse were the vault mare in charge of 'discharging' us of our duties and give me my reward, worked, i received a whopping 150 bits from this AND a green glowstone! Which is currently functioning as my nightlight how convenient! And then it was over. Mission accomplished i did it, i didn't die young and i found the best stallion ever! How cool is that? Never in my life have i felt this good about living...
 
And thats pretty much it! I hope i summed it up pretty well because it was hard to remember all of it but its defenitly something to remember in the future at least for me.

For what happened in the latest days, A LOT of things have happened, in fact i can't write them up without not talking about them here and getting sidetracked forever, but its my diary soooo... Whats first?
 
Lets start from right after i came back from Mist Veil, after the reward i very, VERY quickly i swear asked for directions to the green farms were GreenLight told me he would be, building our house. Made my way there and met him, and two others, a blut unicorn stallion High Tide and a, also green, earth pony stallion named GreenHoof. It was the first time meeting them but i didn't stop to chat mainly because as soon as we saw eachother we ran and almost tacklehugged eachother! And we laid in the snow... Talking about what happened, how he was doing how i was doing... How the cat that just suddenly popped out of my bag was doing, and how the house was coming along. Of course we didn't talk about all of this outside in the cold and all the snow we went into GreenHoof's house to talk and hug, I've never felt so truly happy to be with someone in a veeeeeeeeery long time, well that time with Hoss was cool but he sent me into a short depression so i guess it I'll scratch that out and say it had almost never happened before.
 
I spent a good while with him and the rest of the afternoon went by super quick before i had to go back to the inn to get to bed. And thats how the day ended... It was very late and i hadn't gotten a lick of sleep the entire day so yeah thats how it ended.
 
a few days after that we met again, he was busy being best doctor and i was busy being lazy so we didn't get too much time earlier... We talked a bit maybe got to know eachother a bit better maybe i think i don't remember, the conversations, and then i showed him my shitty room for what it was worth, meh it was bland with my stuff scattered all over the desk and a window overlooking the mainroad leading up to the place not much of a view but still something to look at i guess, and then... Well thats not something I'll include in here but one could propably tell what happened later, after we exchanged some more sweet, sweet words...
 
After then my mind blanks out, i don't remember what happened after that day and for a few more weeks, think it was weeks... But i guess i can skip to the latest then.
 
First would be a visit to the vault, almost a month forward the house was complete and i had been living in it for quite some time, i walked into GreenHoof's house to ask for something and i seem to have caught him in the middle of something, just in time before he left to go to this "Sanctuary" were her sweet heart Rain Drop had disappeared into, all his gear and rations were prepped on the cupboards and i was JUST in time, he looked stressed, and rightfully so it had been a week or so since Rain Drop was last seen and only now he has decided to come looking for her, I offered to help but he refused saying it was better he and a friend took care of it... So i quickly asked my question a bit disheartened for his situation and got a quick direction for Titus's home! Which i dind't go till much later because I'm bad at remembering!! In my defense I'm easily sidetracked and i just was so curious about this Sanctuary thing that i HAD to mention it to the vault, Curious came with me as well because Booze kinda lost his leg... Yeah apparently his bone got dissolved from the infection or something I'm not entirely sure, so she came asking for a potion to restore that leg hile i came in to ask about aforementioned Sanctuary.
 
It was a long and informative talk with one fo the Archivites which looked awfully like the one named First who helped me in Mist Veil! Of course that wasn't his real name and i guess i shouldn't mention it to him because SEKRET IDENTITY, EH, thought i did ask for his name at one point, Star... Something i already forgot CRAP. But the talk was again long and informative i kinda just asked where this sanctuary was and i was bombarded with lore about the towering mountain (the mountain which the sanctuary stood atop of) and how the sanctuary was built by something specifically for us! How the first party who discovered it found stuff related to us like a puzzle were you had to find letters that made out the prhase "The ride never ends" and stautes of ALL OF US, stone statues depicting every single cannonite in detail built long ago... Whoever built that place surely knew we were going to become ponies and that we would find that place eventually AND what we would look like as ponies, AND IN THE SADDLEBAGS on the statues there was stuff those ponies really, really wanted, BOOKS WRITTEN IN SIMPLE ENGLISH FOR SOME! Crazy right? How is this even possible how is everything, all of this human pony thing possible in the first place? We may never know... The last thing i remember about the conversation is that the place was found because of a blinding light in the middle of the night, shaped strangely similarly with Twilight Sparkle's cutie mark, could All of this be her doing? More theories! but moving on, the vault doesn't have anymore restoration potions to use for Booze, and we can't request any from the equestrians because we can't request military grade equipment from them and restoration potions ARE military grade equipment, because fuck us right equestrians? so we had two options, ask Cherenkov - current person on the trade council seat - to set an order to buy one, or go over to a very xenophobic equestrian ROYAL quartermaster to give it to us, Which had a good chance of ending poorly in my opinion.
 
After that we didn'y go to towering mountain YET, i simply got out, went back to Light to hang out and go back to Hoof's house only to see that both Rain Drop and GreenHoof were safe! Hooray i don't get to feel like shit for not coming along anyways! So i went ahead and asked Rain about it since she was there, mentioned it to Light since he was there as well, and then shortly after when Rain had to go to bed a vault pony named Glacial Shroud came in to talk with us, apparently she was the friend Hoof had mentioned previously as well... Her husband and apparently wife were lost in the sanctuary as well along with Rain but everyone came back safely! And not thanks to them, Rain and the others came back in one piece by themselves... The more interesting thing to me is after a bit of talking to her she offered us a job at the vault! They needed medical personel since none was there and people to srudy the weird green goo the changeling they have can produce, best day of life that was, in a single moment that became the best day of my life working at the vault the biggest, coolest cloak and dagger operation, laboratory,  thing ever!! Its hard to describe but I think its awesome, plain and simple, all we had to do is make a list of the items we needed and deliver it to them and the bedbay will be set up!
 
But the latest thing that have happened is that a few days ago, waking up feeling like crap form post-pregnancy sickness to a caribou guest who knocked at the door, looking to trade us some of his stuff for some food, he had a wooden dagger with a big mein gauche like handle like it was supposed to be used with a hand or the mouth even, a small glass bottle with some dark liquid and a dream catcher, I think that was all but maybe there was another item or two, but those were the ones that stood out for sure, i didn't really get to choose or really talk to the caribou as the little electric spiderling hanging around in my house suddenly crawled out of my saddlebags and started taking to me in my head, yelling that there were fire spiders in the woods to th north west and that Hot was starting to awaken bad news bears our town was going to get attacked possibly! So i pretty much left Light to deal with her for now while i had a friendly chat with the little spider fella. I was dead tired by that point along with being super sick i really just wasn't there with my head, i certianly don't remember the conversations all i know is that we got the dream catcher from him, and before he decided to go to bed he came up when Light started talking about my symptoms, first he asked if we were stupid or something before breaking the news to us in a very blunt manner: Apparently i was pregnant this whole time, for almost a month I've been feeling like this and only now i figured it out him saying that i smelled like i was, caribous smelled that shit good to know...  So naturally i was pretty shocked by the discovery and now not only did i feel awful physically but mentally as well, Light was so astounded he just fainted on the spot while i just didn't know what to say... What was i supposed to say, I'm gonig to be a 17 year old mother can this get any more worrying, the rest was just us two discussing this before we went to sleep. SO yeah that was that, Eternity managed to help us out a little bit later on by giving us a truckload of tea in many different flavours, she's awesome, why is everyone in this town awesome? I can't decide over who is more awesome anymore bust she's defenitly the best bat pone for sure.
 
So yeah, dear diary i hope i dind't bloat you too much with useless information! I just enjoy writing for the sake of it and i still need to write some actual information on here now... Toodalo then! Now it should be easier to update this journal.

Bored and restless again... Gives me the chance to write down some things that I've been doing or learning... Maybe on a separated page like the other things.  But to put it simply things have been going semi-well, its been a month since the last entry so lots of things have happened but most of them i can remember off the top of my head, practiced water walking magic, tested how long a bridge across the river would last, and generally tried to get it to work. Studying... Talking here and there the same old stuff.
 
Most relevant thing that has been happening lately though is that I, And Light, have officially joined the Fellowship of the vault technicians! Had a nice tour, two of them one, being mostly going more in depth on the branches the protocols, archives, backlog. And the other visiting some more spooky tunnels along with more answers by Midnight Glitter! Glad he was there to bear with me and all my questions, and my anxious behavior... I'll be writing the details somewhere else so it wont clutter the entry. I've been all built up about this moment and it finally happened, and it has not let down any of my expectations so far! And it really doesn't look like the 'Cloak and Dagger' Organization that most ponies think it is to me, the opinion might seem biased and maybe you are right, but by what I've been told, the vault only wants the town to progress and the human culture and knowledge to survive here, we wont be around forever and when the time comes that none of us will be alive anymore, everything will be forgotten and the human way of thinking wont be there anymore either, So, what we could do is individually write down what we know, EVERYTHING we know, and store it away in the archives, this is also a reminder for me of course...
 
Moving on, the second tour lasted for approximatively 12 hours more or less and when i came home i was passing out from being so tired, i thought i was used to staying up all night but apparently not... So when i did come home i opened the door and quite literally collapsed on the floor without closing the door, boy that was bad... Nothing bad happened tho so its all good at least. We went and explored some spooky tunnel and learned somethings that i will not write here because its too many things.
 
And lastly, an equestrian going by the name of Sonata Allegro just recently arrived into town straight from Canterlot, who honestly looked like a mare but isn't, got to remember that, he is a pretty chill guy really no posh british accent or anything too fancy, coming here wanting to see what the town is like, if we are actually uncivilized dicks or not, seemingly most of the nobles think that we are pretty dangerous to them and, well i can't speak for everyone, but i can understand why they would think so in some cases, so thats nice to know! He's now going around asking questions to everyone that has any questions around the town, i hope people treat him well enough... I regarded him with as much good manners as i possibly could since i wouldn't want to give a bad first impression of us... And i even got to ask lots of questions! And get good enough answers even if i couldn't get much in terms of magic really... But nonetheless i did get the satisfaction of getting SOME answers, and maybe later even have him over for some tea.
 
As for personal notes, i don't have much, I'm basically trying to remember what i learned off the top of my head and its not working too well for some reasons, I've been having weird cravings for various types of fruits that we don't have much off, sweets, salads... And I'm getting a little chubbier but its still fairly easy to hide under the uniform, overall things are going swell and i hope it keeps going this way until i give birth.
 
Almost forgot to mention Light's first date with me! It was nice, nothing to write home about but i still thought it was very nice, i only wish i was better at acting so when he started acting as if it was the first time seeing me i would have made it even better! Maybe next time tho... There's another date still planned and this one has a picnic at Light's secret spot that he showed me and that i wont write anything about because go away, its OUR spot nobody else's!

Journey to towering mountain log to later put into a more well written report.

If this isn't over preparing for something then i don't know what is. Maybe i could prepare more tho...
 
In here i will try to list the events that occurred to me inside of towering mountain, or Startswirl's sanctuary as the ponies in Ground Zero call it, for documentation to all those who will want to visit at one point in the future and have a rough idea of what to expect,
 
I left my notes to my two closest friends and another special someone to let them know that i was about to leave for the sanctuary and asked for help to Rain Drop a few days previous to prepare the rations and potions just in case i would be stuck in the mountain for longer than a few days like it had similarly happened to Able Tome in his adventure in there, after i had made sure that all business was taken care of and i had given my goodbyes to those i could give them to i quickly visited Rain Drop one last time to collect my supplies i had asked for, two 'restoration' potions and a strength potion along with a map of the area and plenty of food for a week and a coil of rope just in case, then, after i had given her a big hug for the help and a goodbye i finally took my leave to make my way to the northern gatehouse and depart for the towering mountain alone for the time being unless Maple found my message and reached me at Mist Veil, it was late morning when i left the town and i knew i had a long and rather lonely day ahead which could go wrong in more ways than five in my head.  
 
It was a bit of an uneventful excursion for a good few hours as i followed the map's marked path and 'land marks' signed on the map, the mountain that i had to reach, along with the ones it dwarfed in size all of their tops covered with a hat  of snow rolling down their dull rocky sides even in the summer, loomed in the distance and made it relatively easy to keep myself facing north and in the direction of the mountain i needed to head towards.
 
my first destination would be the Mist Veil outpost as i thought i would be able to reach it before nightfall, it would also spare me the danger of making camp outside, and making camp at all as I've only made campfire barely a dozen times in my life and i still manage to have trouble with it, and also i still had somewhat of an idea on where to go to get there since the last time and in theory its just a straight shot north anyways. Once i was starting to enter the woods in the proximity of the outpost however i came across a sight that /i/ had never seen nor heard of before, i saw triangular shaped stones in the ground, several, scattered about the underbrush with clusters of long brown mushrooms growing out from underneath, i have seen  A lot of weird things in these lands and funny shaped rocks with mushrooms were absolutely, completely normal, but as i was about to reach the first landmark leading to the outpost, something about them started tickling my fancy and i don't know why... So like the curious pone i am i went over to give it a quick glance just because, obviously, and what i found was by ANY means what i was expecting, I'm pretty sure i read about these somewhere but i never really thought of seeing them here... The stones were not just stones at all and the mushrooms weren't JUST mushrooms, those things were inhabited by almost /finger/ sized ponies with dragonfly wings and a bit of a glow and glitter to their furs and manes, kind of like pixies.
 
And i just kinda stared at this novel-like sight so much in fact that at one point i managed to lower my head close enough to touch the mushrooms, i don't know its like staring at bugs, i had to look closer into one of the windows to figure out how candy ass these pixies were, almost but not quite, when my nose touched /above/ the mushroom the stone glowed with several glyphs and runes appearing over the top of the stones in bright, vivid red colors and my nose was reflected back by what felt like an invisible wall, not sure how else to put it that wouldn't sound cheesy, a shield perhaps,  and before i knew it there was one of those little pixies armed with as much as a literal toothpick-of-a-spear and a suit of... Plate? I don't remember if it was wearing armor but I'll go with no for now because when i assume things they are usually the opposite, And it flew up to me in its tiny candy ass wings and started yelling at me in its tiny voice, i had ABSOLUTELY no idea what it was telling me because it was speaking some weird language that is unheard of by me, and when i replied with a whisper it braced itself like my voice would blow it back, apparently tho it was trying to tell me to fuck off since it started pointing towards me and then the rest of the woods right after so, yeah... I apologized and then went on my way to leave the things alone back to whatever they are doing in their mushroom towns.
 
And i was about to keep going past the landmark had i not bumped into another interesting thing to look at! A standing, seemingly naturally hollow tree chock full of leaves, and i looked down into this trees since it was right there, in the way and i stopped because the thought of this not being exactly normal, at least not in my mind, i looked into it and may or may not have started pushing past the leaves to see if there was anything under them for some, i could have potentially stumbled into a bee hive or a hornet's nest or a big fucking spider or whatever magical shit the woods in this place had in store to screw me over, but still, i felt really compelled to leave no stones unturned at that point, and for once in my life i got lucky and did not indeed find anything gross or dangerous at all, it in fact payed out quite well! Apparently buried under the leaves was a kashver mask, maybe, its got lots of runes on the back of it and it looks pretty similar to the one we have in storage back in Ground Zero, Able also said it could be so i can only assumed that it is as i said, although the simple fact that there is a kashver mask buried in a tree is still quite odd for obvious reasons, witches don't just leave their masks into trees now do they...?
 
Something to ponder, and as much as i wanted to go all national geographic documentary on these pixies, i was running out of time and the sun wasn't waiting on me to get to places, i continued my journey just as it was about afternoon, more or less, approaching evening now and if the map was right, after passing the landmark it wouldn't be too long until i reached Mist Veil and found a bed, also rattlecats, so i wasted no more time playing explorer pone and hurried my pace over to the outpost before it started getting dark, sure enough i didn't run into any trouble and i managed to quickly reach my destination soon after before any funny business occurred, keeping an eye on the bushes and the shadows of possibly cute bunny rabbits hopping around, a short chat with the sentries later i was in and ready for a snack and a night's rest on a cot for the night.

Day 2
 
 
I couldn't really sleep that much tonight so i ended up probably spending an hour or two spent staring at the foggy, rocky ceiling the Mist Veil fortress or just walking around in circles until i got tired, it as really quiet which i had no problem with other than it was... Quite boring. Although later whilst in the middle of twiddling my hooves and setting my gear under the cot was pleasantly surprised to see Able Tome himself swing by, in Mist Veil yes, he was was limping in and looking at the door's fancy engravings until i called out to him and gave him a wave, thanks to him, i managed to better plan my next move and instead of having to cross through the entire way up through the spooky fort with all the frozen dead vanguards and up the stairs with a very big danger of actually falling off or getting very tired and then maybe falling off, it was not a flawless plan in the slightest but it certainly better than what i originally had in mind, which included just walking alllll the way up with, hopefully, Maple Leaf tagging along, but he mentioned that there would be a patrol of protocollites swinging by as well that could give me and my excessive weaponry a ride up near or even to the top of the mountain which would considerably shorten my voyage. i also showed him the mask and, as i mentioned in the previous entry, we concluded that it had to be a kashver mask judging by the runes and the scowl displayed on the front, more on that on another entry if we figure something out about it. Then we ended up chit chatting away about my problems and this and that... He made for a good conversation pony to be honest and i really look up to the guy, kinda wish I'd see him more often but I'm sure he has his fair share of problems and chores to deal with than talking to me, later i decided to leave him alone and let him sleep since he seemed pretty tired after a while, he seemed to have made it on hooves all the way to Mist Veil, the limping must be a bit annoying to deal with for sure. I also managed to shut my eyes after the convo, Finally drifting of to sleep feeling a bit better about myself and more focused on the important things.
 
The morning after i woke up i found myself a little alone in the main hall, guessing Able left early to do his business, and without wasting too much time sightseeing i packed my things, strapped my weapons, donned the uniform and map then went outside without much of a hitch, no rattlecat sightings but i did  hear purring behind the walls at times, and maybe a bit of dull clanging sounds presumably from the vertebrae spike thing they have instead of cute tails, the pegasi Able spoke about were just entering Mist Veil by the time i reached the entrance so i got the chance to chat them up about my plan and they seemed keen on agreeing to it after they had went inside to eat and drink, which was by no means a problem as i was waiting on someone anyways,  Maple should be joining me here outside roughly at noon, hopefully. And in the meantime, i took a seat on the grass, back against a tall rock next to the small cave leading into Mist Veil and began to write what you're reading, just a personal note, once i get up to the top I'll write an actual report.
 
 
 
We are on the mountain, it was a very horrible landing at least for me and we also had an encounter with an oversized kitty, i think it was a cougar, nonetheless we fucked him up and he wont be bothering anyone anytime soon, although, he got a bite out of my foreleg and it stings like a bad toothache, luckily it isn't too bad, superficial and my armor took the brunt of it, so now i a little pair of chew marks on my skin and a few holes on my sleeve, i put a bandage over the wound just in case and it was then that i remembered that i didn't bring any antiseptic or disinfectant of any kind, this is going to bite me in the ass later for sure.
 
As for what happened earlier I'll try to describe it a bit just to give an idea of what happened and why.  After what felt like about an hour or maybe two, Maple actually showed up to meet me there. I applied a well deserved tackle hug and then went back to the pegasus ponies as they who were out there waiting for me to give them a nod to get airborne whenever, a few seconds to get in position later and then we were off to towering mountain on board the fellowship of Vault express, poor pegasi, mine especially, did get tired of carrying my heavy ass but we still managed to reach our destination and skip the more dangerous bits of the climb, but then of course nothing ever goes as planned and suddenly, an ugly, thick storm cloud showed up seemingly a lot closer than i thought it was a first glance,  about to envelop the mountain in a small blizzard before we could get there, Luckily for us, the pegasi were undeterred tho and continued flying in attempt to outrun the clouds before they go around the mountain, which ended up in us getting airdropped on a platform that was barely flat from a good few meters off the air and it was a MIRACLE i didn't break something with the weight i was carrying, ponies don't roll that well but the bounce a lot, i bounced and bruised my side when i went to roll because of the shit i had on my side and a bit because of being a quadruped,  Maple had it easy tho, landing into a pile of snow a bit further ahead of me while i totally didn't whine like a child at the ouchies the fall had given me, they weren't grievous in the sense that nothing was broken but it hurt like a bitch to try walking for a while, muh sides. The pegasi of course managed to fly down again to rest up after that one right after having dropped us so we were alone now.
 
Nonetheless, it didn't take us long to get back on our hooves and in motion once more towards the top of the mountain as  pink, yes pink, Lightning resounded from below us since the clouds now enveloped the mountain down there, we were just high enough to not have to walk through them, that could have a lot worse... And of course there had to be a fight on the way up, what's even worse is a cougar managed to surprise us half-way up and jumped down almost on top of us both, we made short work of it with my crossbow and Maple's dagger but not before it bit and sprained my weapon leg, left a superficial wound but i couldn't walk straight for the entirety of the trip up and the stairs killed me, almost, it was pretty bad to walk uphill for what felt like an hour and my ears were clogging up and it was a bit harder to breathe too.
 
After that we made camp up there using what little we could burn to start and kindle the fire, it probably isn't the best of ideas but i didn't want to enter the sanctuary while limping and I'm sure neither did Maple Leaf. So we slept the rest of the day there and tomorrow we will enter towering mountain. -End of day 2-
 
-Day 3-
 
I'm currently writing this while inside some kind of bland chamber with seemingly nothing but two statues, and two plaques with an odd emblem in between which turned out to be a rune after consulting the book Maple got from the statues, it read "Born once then again, seek thy futures far whilest thou still can." And then the symbol of a reversed, pink triangle, the top half slightly pushed back in and in the center there was an empty white spot shaped like a heart, with a small pink sphere hovering from the pushed back top of the triangle, and then below that there was more Which read; "With a broken heart she appears, lost in her way she trots. A simple word might fix her woe or bring it all to rot." seemingly hinting to some kind of riddle so far. Still thinking about it but I'l fairly certain it has to do with some kind of emotion, perhaps love or hatred.
 
We have decided to take a bit of a rest down here under the statues of ourselves while brainstorming about this and in the meantime, i decided to continue my report. Going to start from the beginning again to keep it in chronological order.
 
After having taken some time to recover from the trek up the mountain and having spent the night huddled around the faint fire, we quickly moved on and entered the odd, small cubic building that was constructed on the very top of towering mountain, made of smooth stone and nothing much, completely bland in design, just a stone cube with, seemingly, no door covering the entrance, inside we met one of the two protocolite technicians stationed up there to presumably keep watch in case funny business with equestrians occurred and to keep the torches lit, i felt really bad for the pony as you had to be rather unlucky to be one of the guys stationed up there... Seemed like a boring job to me, though i still laughed a little when the poor mare was taking care of the torches inside over the walls set over the bland irony supports and she was grumbling about how the torches wouldn't stay lit so she was standing there with the flint and steel right there beside there and as soon as she said that the torches go out again because of the lack of door at the entrance. I'm so sorry to have chuckled. (:3)
 
In addition to that the top of the mountain was not a comfortable place to be stationed in the slightest, i got to be there for a bunch of hours only and even with my armor on, which was not exactly a summer dress as it came with boots, scarf and overcoat, i still felt the cold quite a bit, enough to make me shiver but, then again, I'm one of those people who tend to shiver a lot when the temperature drops.
 
The insides of the cube were deprived of decoration or windows apart from the torches the technicians were taking care of the and the big stone door, judging by the empty borders and the handle, on the northern end. Me and Maple exchanged a few worried words adding the obligatory "What could possibly go wrong" Before moving on, and headed inside. On the other side we found the famous gates where the first ones had to go through, used to be a puzzle to fin the right password which turned out to be "the ride never ends" in perfectly english letters... The torches here were actually blue instead of the normal amber yellow and the room quickly lead down to a room with a fancy pedestal and then a flight of stairs which we stepped down to find the library... Something like that, the thing that caught the eye here is that all the different spots on the stone shelves had plaques with names on them, some i could recognize as my friend's... We even found mine and Maple's names there too which had a single book for each of us! Maple found one about rune crafting funnily enough, all written in basic equestrian and mine was "A hundred acres of woods and you" Cover of a plain green and opening it revealed that it had details over almost hundreds types of plants in pain stacking detail, it told the various alchemical affects it would have if treated in a certain way and where to find it more importantly, definitely and interesting read to deliver to the vault... As much as i would have wanted to stay there and read there was another stair case that led further down into the mountain which needed exploring. We put our books in our saddlebags and departed again to adventure down the mysterious staircase.
 
And it was the most tiring descend ever... I Swear those stairs went on for at least 5 minutes more of less and it was a winding staircase leading straight down towards this literally stadium sized room, littered with small steps leading up to doors, rows of doors and torches with some of them having differently colored lights floating above them, which, form what we discovered later, could mean someone had already went in those.
 
Having no clue over which one we were supposed to get into we started looking around, perhaps a name plate somewhere or another sign... Not at first, though when i approached one of the doors by myself a pale white light seemed to appear floating above that door, and a pink one on the one Maple approached later, but neither opened before us despite out pushing. Only when we approached one of the doors together, when both lights appeared over the door, did it seem to open up leading us into a very dark stone cavernous corridor.
 
Now... I had talked about what was behind these doors with those who had gone in before me, Rain Drop and Able Tome for the most part, and i had a vague idea of what to expect, vague and uncertain but still i just had that gut feeling... And my guts are usually right on some things.
 
We trudged on, with a pair of torches we shamelessly stole from the walls to clear the darkness and went in, the door closed behind us obviously and the only way to go was forward... What happened next confirmed my greatest hope and fears as before i knew it i was hearing faint echoes of voices down the tunnel specifically from the left as the tunnel ended up splitting into a fork of three, one going north, one west and one towards south, i saw a group of familiar ponies ahead of me ruffly 5 minutes away down the tunnel i was in which went straight to the east, i wasted no time to hide around the tunnel going south when i quickly recognized the figures due to the lanterns they carried along, knight Alegra in her bodyguard costume, her assistant, Kaiasha, Fledspar, Aurora and myself. Yes, there was another me among them, i knew where i was the moment i saw them as i was seemingly reliving my past, very edgy part of my past where i lost my unborn foal to a poisoned bolt.
 
Maple was confused but she just followed me around the corner and we hid from sight by tossing our torches back deeper into our hiding spot and waited... Reports describe the following events somewhat vaguely in amore third person kind of manner and i never got to write mine so here goes.    
 
I didn't have to peek around the corner to know where they were going to go as i knew exactly which path they were going to follow but i couldn't hear their voices, only echoes and some words. My own voice was too quiet to even understand from there as it didn't make an echo because i honestly tend to whisper a lot.
 
While i explained roughly the situation to Maple my ears were perked and listening closely when i heard the hoof steps stop and suddenly, the group was seemingly debating on which way to take, they were close as their voices were more clear and  could make out my own voice as well but not the words i was mumbling, I didn't dare to peek around the corner out of fear of being seen as i knew that my other self was looking around and probably my way if i did, so i simply listened until i was hearing their hoof steps again, moving away as a few of the words from Alegra confirmed that they were moving again so i peeked around using the darkness as cover to watch them go into the tunnel leading north, the one room where shit hit the fan and it went literally everywhere.
 
I armed my crossbow, raised by hood and told Maple to follow me and i hurried after them all stealthy-like, determined to try to avoid what had happened in the past by tackling or crippling my other self if it came down to it, It all happened so quickly that i almost didn't have time to reach the corner in time before the ambush started with my other self stopping just infront of the group, eliciting some stares from the others as i muttered something close to a "Oh please no..." If i remember correctly, and from there i knew i had only seconds left to react so i did the first thing that came to mind to alert the others and for Honor Bright to get in the way of the shot, i shouted and fired my crossbow blindly into the of the dark corner of the tunnel's darkness in a fruitless attempt to hit the hidden crossbowman but there was virtually no chance to hit as i didn't even know where to shoot, only a vague bearing imprinted in my memory, My warning came almost too late and the other me being the wannabe hero i was even when pregnant still went to tackle Alegra to get her out of the way, Honor Bright tho managed to react fast enough to let his armor tank it instead as my shot seemed to be enough to sway the crossbowman's aim just enough for him to miss the target that, in the past, had come very close to hitting. The battle ensued in a slightly different fashion than it did when i was paralized on the floor, With me standing prone in front of the entrance with my heavy crossbow, my other me guarding Alegra with my sword and all the others charging to close the distance including Honor Bright while the three hitmen came out to prepare to fight their way to their target, One of them having the ability to cast lightning bolts quite effectively which seriously injured The real Alegra, "Honor Bright" and then started working on killing the rest, one slimmer white furred one armed with a light crossbow with posioned bolts and another one, bulky and brawny, carrying a bastard sword, it all lasted but a minute and with me on sniper duty it made the battle a bit smoother as i focused my shots on the crossbowman which happily returned fire until he was being cornered by Feld Spar and Kaiasha, with Fled proceeding to knock him the fuck out with her hooves later, Aurora engaging the one with the bastard sword and, while having some difficulty still managed to decapitate him when he tried to run, adding insult to injury Kaiasha also shot the pony on the butt with a poisoned bolt while attempted to make a run for it and give me and Maple the slip, leaving only the lightning bolt caster which had brought Honor Bright to her knees, the full plate clad pony not even reaching the unicorn as everyone else suddenly shifted his/her attention to him.
 
He was smart enough to call for a retreat... But as i continued to pepper him with accurate bolts and eventually hitting him a few times, also blocking his escape route as i stood right in front of it, still he managed to slip past the others whom quickly gave chase to not let the now limping pony escape as he headed further north, i was down to my last two bolts out of my 5 and the i put the last one right onto his chest as he turned to shot lightning towards Feldspar, hitting her, but giving zero fucks and continued to attempt to punch his shit in, my last bolt made him keel over but e wasn't down yet and still he attempted to cast lightning bolts at his pursuers as he backed up into the shadows. I simply loaded my last bolt, took careful aim and shot him again landing right on his side mid-turn turning him into a pincushion and finally bringing down onto the ground, still breathing and alive, but bleeding heavily and seemingly exhausted... I had officially changed the past by being there, the addition of my other self, Maple and myself were enough to overwealm the three hired blades whom, despite being veterans of the job, were caught out numbered as they did not quite plan having someone who already knew of their plan to show up right there and then.
 
The aftermath of the battle was me kinda laying there for a minute to get rid of the horrible sense of deja vù and relieve the stress i had suddenly accumulated, i felt my heart in my throat and thanks to my hood i wasn't recognized right off the bat, but Maple was, As my other self had met her a few times beforehand, despite not being the friend she is to me right now... I left Maple to fend for herself under the barrage of scrutiny my other self put up but when i stepped up, i managed to convince to ask later and take care of the wounded first, giving her the old excuse of "I'll explain later" while for the first time actually raising my voice above a whisper and add less pitch to it, it might seem stupid but it somehow worked, she still asked about why she couldn't see my face, the excuse that i was a protocolite on duty, my insistence eventually convinced My other self as she was called over by Kaiasha to do her job and help quickly check up on Feld Spar and Honor Bright, whom, of course, simply shrugged off her wounds and refused the help for the time being, the darkness of the place was acting in my favor as almost none but the mare standing beside me could see my face even when Alegra herself came over to give me her thanks... She had a lantern, but by the time she came over i was already taking my leave and beckoning Maple to follow while keeping completely straight faced, i had to put up the cheesy act of speaking with my back turned to the mare which was a bit rude... But necessary as i definitely did not want them to know i was me, since there were two of me. We had a short conversation and I'm pretty sure Alegra was onto me at that point but i put the argument off by saying that I'd be around to talk about it later, in the clinic, which, albeit being a straight up lie as i wouldn't be around to explain, hopefully, still worked on letting me go for the moment, i could feel her furrowed brow from behind me as i walked off with Maple still tensed up like a robot from all of this. The whole event only lasted until we reached the exit of the cavern which, instead of an exit, was a big stone wall/door with the same two lights we saw back at the door we used to get in hovering above it, i could see the others trotting up to reach me as i peeked around the corner so Maple and i hurried to approached the door and simply opened it by giving it a collective push.
 
Once we were inside, the door once again closed behind us and we entered the room i described at the start of this chapter, the room was roughly circle shaped, big with a ceiling so tall that only darkness could be seen above us, walls littered with blue torches and, in the middle of the room, were two statues, not just some uninteresting statues tho, statues of me and Maple specifically carved with amazing pain stacking detail, the plaques on the pedestals also identified them as WhiteLight's statue and Maple Leaf's statue, Mine was standing vertically on its hind legs holding a wooden staff topped by a pair of, also wooden, snakes that twirl and intertwine over the it in my forehooves, a pair of saddlebags also present on my back.. A closer look on the statue also revealed that my wounds... The most recent ones at that, were carved into the statues as well, for example my foreleg which had been bitten by the cougar, the holes that left were on that same forelegs on the statue with cracks around it an everything, it was so detailed i could see the damaged tissue and even the tendons under the skin if you looked hard enough, and the same thing for Maple's statue, she was hit by the pony with the bastard sword on the side and her long wound was shown on the statue. It really makes one think just how this all is possible, i knew that Starswirl was one of the most powerful wizards but to this extent its just insane, and its probably not even the best he could do.
 
To be honest i found out what the staff did by complete accident, the moment i got i started swinging it around making stupid noises like a child and i managed to point it towards Maple for long enough to get it to start working on her... I had no idea what was going on and i was so curious over what the staff did that i didn't really move it... To my complete surprise it healed her! Holy shit this must be the first catalyst in the history of fourcannon and it heals, has christmas come in early!?  Huzzah! And in addition to that i found 10 rolls of seemingly magical bandages, 3 vials of greenish liquid which was labelled as anti venom and smelling salts. And Maple found jars of weird liquids instead, each of them labelled. The red one is dragon blood with the word, potency written underneath, then a light green one which read, timberwolf sap, duration, and the last one, which was of a inky black color and simply read; black berries on the label with nothing else underneath. A pair of scrolls where also in the saddlebags bound in wood and string which  got to read over once Maple called me over to see it, i didn't quite understand it personally, one of them read; "If ye be strong of earth, but weak in heaven, seek wisdome." which the other followed up with, "If ye be wise in heaven, but weak of earth, seek strength across the lands.".
 
Afterwards, we quickly noticed how the door we used to come in seemed to have disappeared and has left the plaque and image i described at the beginning in its place.
 
I'm pretty sure just saying the answer is not working so I'm a bit confused, very confused, surely we wont remain stuck here because of some kind of puzzle...

Summary report of the Swamp expedition.
 
- Day 1 -
 
My first voyage to the infamous swamps was rather brief and sketchy, i went out alone, following the map and keeping the Starswirl tome in my bag as it had name references of the location of the next 'holdfast'. I kept myself near the edge of the swamps at first as i wanted to scout out if i could find any points of interest, my map lacked any landmarks and i had never been there before... This is the best idea I've had in a while for sure.    
 
I brought with me my kit-of-everything which includes two of my heaviest weapons, an old tome, a map, a snack for a day, a potion of strength courtesy of Rain Drop alongside two potion of stamina (this is only how i call them I'm not sure about her right now, they do exactly what the name implies.), water, a first aid kit with all the stuff i got from towering mountain, and a glowmoss lantern. Its quite heavy but its not too bad, although i could use with a bit of prioritizing...
 
I am also writing this at roughly 1 ish AM so i apologize if this is a boring read.
 
I approached from the south trotting the road as far as it led, past the train tracks and the ruins of the old tannery until i catched sight of the more brown-y colored woods, the stench hitting me even from dozens of meters away and as i approached the mosquitos came to haunt me, my face and neck being the only thing that was uncovered and its been itching all night in several places.
 
It wouldn't take me long to spot something resembling some kind of landmark in the distance while the underbrush wasn't too thick yet, there was an old looking abandoned and leaning tower in relative plain sight a few minutes into the woods, along a corpse of trees and a large hill with a skyward pointing rock, this is all i managed to really see. Even though i was looking for a tree the tower made me curious, i heard rumors of abandoned structures but haven't seen one myself, so i approached it. Skipping along the lilly pads to try not to get too wet and muddy... And to pester the bull frogs.
 
The tower seemed in awful condition, the stonework was covered in cracks, damaged, some of them filled with weeds and upon closer inspection the entire foundation was as if the thing had sunk into the dirt, hence why it was leaning. The stairs leading up to the shabby wooden door were also rotten looking, smelled funny too, but it didn't collapse when i stepped on it with my plethora of gear so thats not too bad apparently, Inside the first floor it all looked very spartan and empty, there only a few things left in the ruins of the tower, i assume that if there was it was already taken... A few broken chairs, an old, small square table and a rusty stove, i checked for anythig interesting and all i found was a ruined satchel under the table, a hole in its bottom and clearly empty, stove also empty, the room was barren of anything useful and was quite bland, there were also a flight of stairs leading upwards and a door on the wall opposite of the one i entered, presumably leading to a cellar judging by the size of the building.
 
I went upstairs to see what was up there, and where the stairs continued where was simply broken planks leading to a missing  roof which was completely gone, erased almost, and the stonework near the ends had a slightly 'melted' looking texture, there was no furniture on this floor that i could see at first glance but there was the remnants of a campfire and some old supplies, the food was ruined as was everything else almost looking like it had been there for a good year or maybe less, but i found what looked like a journal when shamelessly scavenging in it, it didn't have many clues over who's camp this was but it gave context to the building itself.
 
Apparently this old tower belonged to a old earth pony king named; king Granite, reading through the wording the king seemed to have some mental issues, as he was mentioned as a mad king who built castles in the swamp despite knowing they would sink into the fragile, cursed soil they were built upon, the tower i was in was likely one of those structures who belonged to the same pony at the time... Makes me wonder how long this has been here.
 
There was nothing else of note up there, and my bags were already full... So, begrudgingly, i left the journal where it was to pick it up later down the line and went back downstairs to open the cellar door. It was blocked by a wooden plank from the outside, looking like someone badly wanted to keep whatever was inside, inside. But i opened it anyways without giving it much thought, it was pitch dark, a stairs case leaning down into a tunnel of darkness that smelled like something had died in there and of humidity, i parted my overcoat so the lantern on the strap would light the way and made my way down... It wouldn't take long until i would find a door on my way down the tunnel, just there, in the middle of it, me being the curious person i am i went out of my way to open only to step on a pressure plate, i nearly got stabbed by darts but i jumped off just in time to avoid them as they came from right behind me. Why would you need a pressure plate in a place like that!?
 
I composed myself and stood back up, trotting into the room and shining my lantern only to get a facefull of living skeletons armed with rust knives as soon as i opened the door, three of them, i slammed it shut and went up the stairs to snipe them from there...
 
Unfortunately it didn't work that well and i ended up getting stabbed in the waist twice in the same spot, god it hurt, i couldn't push them down as i was already outnumbered two to one... I would have probably either died or finished the fight by the skin of my teeth had Aurora not shown up a minute later to aid me, i had left her a message and she had shown up just in the nick of time! Safe to say the skeletons stood no chance against the two of us.
 
Once the fight was over i took a breather on the wall, totally fine i promise, and was quickly advised to head back to town to  get checked in the clinic after making sure i would not contract tetanus or anything on the way there.

Mist Veil resides Ruffly a couple kilometers out of town to the north, a few hours of walking at most, the peculiar frozen woods in the vicinity of the cave are still quite dangerous if one strays too far from the beaten path known to be populated by packs of timber wolves and possibly more scary things, a giant roc has been spotted roaming that area from time to time, all about that creature i unknown and it is preferred to approach it with caution. The entranc ehsould be able to be recognized straight away as its entrance is in the middle of clearing on a small rocky hillside, now also populated by vault ponies who work there can't miss it. Inside it is quite impressive, previously a diamond dog outpost but now having been long since abandoned, but there are still clear signs of diamond dog presence at one point in the form of weird architecture, art, and statues, also populated by cat-like creatures also named alots, the alots aren't particualrly hostile but mostly skittish, they look mostly like normal cats but can be clearly dsitinguished by the blank boney face, no eyes, and the sharp bone spike they have for a tail.
