Skyguard's Stormbow   Class: S Type: Ranged Damage: 1d8 to 4d8 piercing Weight: 2 Range: 2-40 Masterwork: Yes Weapon skills: Versatile attack, Minimum range, Fast reload, Power Shot, Magical attack, Affinity: Air, Spell: Steel rain, Storm breeze.   Magical attack: Projectile's Physical damage can be turned into magical damage at the user's will when firing, enchanting the arrows as it is cocked with the element of Air to also increase maximum range by 5.   Steel Rain: Pulling back the empty string, you point it in the direction of your target, as you feel the bow beginning to quiver slightly in your hands, releasing the string, the sound of  distant thunder resounds from the skies and you make 4 arrows from your quiver rain from the sky to smite your enemies!   The spell automatically takes arrows from your quiver or nearby quivers when activating this spell and makes the arrows fly from above rather than from you, bypassing a shield's defense and spreading over the targeted area as per the Area attack (1) skill, target or area of the attack must be specified and target can be randomized with the aid of 1d2-3-4's. Tis attack greatly increases chances to hit a large target by +4 and slightly increases damage against quadruped targets by +2, however, bipedal or even some quadruped targets that are medium take -2 to hit, small ones -4 to hit and tiny ones -6 to hit.   Storm breeze: Upon use, the caster receives a considerable boost in Mo, increasing it by x2 of the current stat, and Acrobatics checks, increasing it by +4, for 3 turns and will then become on cooldown for 2 after use. However, you must always make a SN 5 DEX check to not clumsily stumble or even trip due to the uncontrollable wind when you move, on a failure, move only half the distance, and on a critical failure you only move a quarter of the distance and fall prone! And on a critical success you can treat your move action as a swift action instead.   With but a whisper of the word "Ventus", the bow will quiver in your grip, and you can summon a strong gust of wind to chase you for a brief amount of time and boost you in whichever direction you choose to move towards, the wind will follow keeping itself behind you even when facing skywards. Surprisingly, it helps a lot to keep forward momentum when running or jumping, not so much when trying to stop.   A longbow made from enchanted, hardened silver wood with the arms curved  oddly to be reminiscent of a thunder bolt, both ends  around which the soft string is attached, tipped with small, cone shaped topaz cap, which is seemingly only for decoration as only the four large onyx embedded on the middle most part of the bow glow when the spell is in the midst of charging, both set above and below a neat brown leather wrapping that served as grip for the bow.   Once standard issue of an elite human/gryphon mercenary group during the 'war games' before the entropy, terrorizing battlefields with the masterwork bows raining death from above to those who opposed the kingdom that hired them, they quickly earned fame, coin and a name for themselves, naming themselves the 'Skyguard'. The group was small, composed of only 17 archers, all especially trained and with incredible aim that only a master of the profession could hope to achieve. Only one member of this group survived and lives on in the pit as a part-time instructor and fighter in the arena. The only known bow of this kind of bow is in his possession, all the others are either destroyed along with the corpses of their users or lost in the vast plains of the corrupted worlds.
