Racist liberal means "is effective at dealing with modern people instead of bringing other baggage in"
 
In most cases, it's a valid insult in others
 
A lot of this is a faction with differing ideas of religion, social norms, and even economics wanting to make this into their club. Of course to relitigate other issues rather than the one we're winning on, and too often allergic to secular justifications despite that being needed. High powered failures.
 
In too many cases it really is just the person who agrees with them politically is less than ideal in some other dimension, and that justifies punching up. And in too many cases they struggle even preaching to the choir but want to be believed and blame others for not being what they fail to preach
 
It seems like they dont see we are in modernity, not a time where their ideas are hegemonic or even ascendant. So complaining about JF being a moral nihilist who sees religion as useful is misplaced, it's the best you can ask for right now. Someone who will put what you like into modernity appealing words
 
You dont know your place, are impatient with other attempts to mainstream other povs, demand endless patience for your own, dont have your own house in order (ie you couldnt see success in these attempts to get your view across), and in many cases dont even think you have to be persuasive but that those who arent persuaded are just lost causes or enemies
 
To hear them, they've already won and people already agree with them so they dont need to engage. Always a sense I get, sometimes even stated that they've already surpassed the rest of the dissident right as they complain others get more airtime
 
It's fine to have different priorities, but recognize that cuts both ways. And politics means useful people who are less than ideal are still useful confederates if not your own fully.
 
And it's insane too often. Not even just "dont associate with X" but "dont even listen to X" Cant listen to AH, NA, or Oscar Wilde I guess. Really is a purity spiral where what is verboten is truly verboten. Limiting. Nothing constructive being done with these values, certainly no leading by example.
