These are trends, not rules. And there are people who dont adhere to these trends
 
1. Inability to persuade those who just dont agree
 
2. Pretense that because nobody really disputes them in their current circle, everythibg must justify itself to them
 
3. Nowhere newr as valuable as they think they are.
 
4. Want us to join in their flights of fancy
 
5. I suspect a number kf them are creationists
 
6. Overreact to slights, real or imagined
 
7. Statistical or empirical incompetence, just what they see forming their hairbrained theories
 
Basically people who think they have the kiss of the muses because they can write a good story not even people who agree with them read.
