I think Nick hit the right notes. It's about transparency, not purity. We will have people who dont fit our ideal either orbitting or within the movement. And I dislike the attitude of "no X,Y,Z" because we are in no position to be so picky. Moreover it's usually low-fliers attacking high fliers, which is bad and why people dont want purity spiraling. They dont want to hollow out their public or semi-public figures for anons of dubious loyaltyies, talents, or priorities   Speaking of high fliers, the lack of transparency is a shame because the people hurt by it were high fliers. Ebola was good at pushing narratives on social media, Mosely an organizer, Enoch made a successful platform. I understand why these people would have a hard time admitting their faults after they've built these relationships up on the pretenses they did. It is personal and they dont want to destroy the relationship they have. Perfectly understandable. Fear that the movement is irrationally obsessed with purity, or that their friends are.   However you will be discovered and people will respect you for being honest. At worst it will be like ripping a band-aid, while being uncovered by the media will hurt a lot more. Frame Game, Matt Semite, Faulk, and Braving Ruin were honest
