Freedom of speech is legally enshrined due to being constitutional, back when we were a white supremacist nation. Since then we have an extralegal outrage culture around defending the feelings of Diverse America.
Obviously if the groups which dont believe in freedom of speech predominated this would change
 
So no credit to diversity, which is the only way out of citing less diverse Europe's laws being about defending diverse sensitivities
