This really is a microcosm of Skeptic critiques. When he's quote tweeting people, ie responding to them safely for the approval of his fans, he seems to do rather well. But he falters when he actually has to engage with people, even with much fewer followers than him. Like Woes, Alaska, Morgoth, Joyce, etc
 
Hence why he is skittish about debate and instead uses twitter as a source of social proof. That is safer. He can always deflect to some idiot with 50 followers there
 
Remember when Sargon said twitter was worthless as a platform for dialogue, when he didnt want people criticized his tweets? I guess that changed? It's also interesting because Sargon used the Holocaust as a deflection when he started getting owned with regards to Jewish IQ
