For one the cultural immune response to pedophilia has been eroded.   It used to be two factors: it's degenerate (deviant and disgusting) and harmful to children.   The former no longer applies as everything else considered sexually deviant has been mainstreamed, even acts which are deviant to the point it reflects poorly on the person engaging in it. Even suggesting things like that exist will be controversial.   Now some may think the latter is all that is needed, that protecting children will be enough.   Not really. What if it becomes accepted that children are inherently sexual beings and therefore preventing them from expressing that is bad? Astute observers will note that the language I used there has been used to justify teaching sex-ed to kids far from reaching puberty and in debates about decriminalizing incest (in Europe).   Moreover one can find stories of kids below the age of 7 starting hormone therapy to transition. Or look up the psychologist Manney and what he had two children do under a similar rationale. Clearly fucking with kids is fine if it's woke.   Another factor, the institutions which ultimately make these judgments are in fact heavily politicized and ideologically biased. Especially the departments most likely to weigh in on the matter, the social sciences. And I've seen what passes peer review in those departments; gibberish with the right politics can pass peer review.   And this happened before. I recall it being considered the gospel truth that homosexuals make up 9%-10% of the adult population when I was in school. My friends even made a game of it. We stood in a line and every tenth person called put was called a fag.     But really what one can expect in the meantime are sob stories designed to transfer your concern for the kid to the pedo. Then universalism will do the rest.
