Honestly, it's all too often virtue signalling. And like all moral outrage it is likely hypocritical and definitely self-serving. What people who say optics-cuck dont get is we need to focus on persuasion above all else, and that political movements must balance lots of factors against being true to ourselves with this in mind. When we lack plausible deniability (ie irl) we need to act. Same here, we need to win on the arguments we need won to fulfill our purpose, and balance doing that against having approval from everyone.
