The fixation index differences are large enough alone to suggest convergent evolution eventually leading to homo. If these findings bear fruit it is essentially the nail in the coffin when taking in to account the already overwhelming evidence to support convergent evolution. One of the main reasons we shy away from convergent evolution in the first place is that it provides for differences between the races which inevitably leads to "scientific racism."
