=====/sthg/'s Super Special Secret Santa Squad=====
 
-----WHAT IS THIS?-----
 
It's a 'Secret Santa' for /sthg/. For those who don't know, a Secret Santa is when a group of people post their own wish lifts and/or gift ideas for others to see; so others can anonymously spread a little joy this Christmas. Obviously, it's not guaranteed that you'll get anything, nor are you obliged to buy a gift. Hopefully though the spirit of generosity will prevail.
 
Basically, this is just a little bit of fun in the run-up to Christmas. /co/ does a similar thing each year where they post Amazon wishlists and people have a nice chat about the holidays and how life's going (also blame Rik for introducing me to the idea).  Now of course some people there also do drawing requests which is fine too. THERE ARE NO HARD RULES, if you want to share your address here with a bunch of strangers, that's fine. If you want to tell someone that you're buying something for them, you can, (but you'll probably look like a bit of a knob to be honest).
 
WE ARE NOT 'DESIGNATING' ANYONE TO BE A GIFT GIVER, you just post your wish list (or request) and hope for the best. Of course in the true sense of Christian charity it's very much appreciated by others if you do decide to fulfil a request, but there's no obligation to do so. You can just post your wish list and hope for the best, or you can not post a wish list and just be a good old philanthropist.
 
GIFTING ENDS ON BOXING DAY (DEC. 26th)
 
-----HOW DOES IT WORK?-----
 
The most common and easiest method is to post an Amazon wishlist code for others to see  (URLs trigger mods in threads). To get your wishlist code login to Amazon, go to your wishlist (you can make a new list for the /sthg/SSSSS if you want) and select your URL. The code is the ### part in amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/######### . Before you post you should add a delivery address, otherwise other anons will not be able to send the gift directly to you (your address will be kept anonymous, as will the sender, but your name may be revealed).
 
REMEMBER! YOU DON'T SEE THE ADDRESS OF YOUR RECIPIENT, NEITHER DO YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY SHIP ANYTHING YOURSELF. So don't worry about that.
 
To add a delivery address, click 'Edit this list' or similar and select your address from the drop down, also tick the "Third party shipping agreement". Then you're set!
 
When you gift someone, either post their wishlist code in the thread, or send me a DM on Discord, or send an email to lordmuckgbe@gmail.com.
 
If you ever want to check a list to see if it's been gifted use this and replace the ### with the wishlist code  and the *** with the type of amazon, IE com ca co.uk.

Of course it doesn't need to be Amazon, you can also make a pastebin wishlist for art or other requests. Or a Steam Wishlist (NOTE: YOU NEED TO BE A FRIEND OF THE RECIPIENT)
